My original review was a bit harsh because of a buggy disk. Well after exchanging a bad disk I finally got to play this game bug free and I am impressed. I think I was as annoyed by the kid who posted the first ten reviews long before the game came out more than anyhting, his dad should take away his game preview priveleges AND his internet access because he did not do his company any favors letting this kid be their spokesman to such a wide audience. Bragging that you've played a game months before street date under multiple aliases just makes people distrustful.
The street missions get pretty repetitive pretty fast as there are only about 5 types of missions but the storyline missions have a nice variety of boss battles and puzzle solving.
Having seen the movie now I am impressed with how they did this game, driving the story on a sidestreet to the movie and avoiding spoilers while giving occasional glimpses as you go along. The webslinging in the game is very well done and it is kind of fun just to swing around the town.
I'm very happy with this game and glad to see that others are liking it as well, I think this is one I will come back to after the missions are all done just for an occasional web slinging break.

best game of the year(hopefully)

Hey i have the first one its awesome in the first one you can be the green goblin well harry annyway i hope in this one you can be doc ock it would be awesome anyway this game seems cool because YOU CAN GO IN THE STREETS it seems awesome well you probably remember me when i told you about true crime well whatever i said dont listen im selling it it sucks well spiderman two will be the best game ever. see ya

Although, very fun, it has many flaws. At first it seems to be great, but about halfway through glitches pop up everywhere (my disc has no scratches on it)! And why couldn't Actvision make the mouths move? But, worst of all, the fire graphics are horrible! It is still fun exploring New York though.

I got the first game and I liked it alot. I bought the game the first day it came and LOOOOVED it.The web slinging has impoved and new moves and you won't die when you touch the groud, its awsome!!I still don't know why it's rated T

A Crapy Movie Game

THIS GAME SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I played the first one and really liked it and the way this game has been advertised, it seemed like a big upgrade. I WAS WRONG! Even though this game is 2 years newer than the first spiderman, it still manages to have worse graphics. When you're talking to the people on the street (or anyone up close) their mouths don't even move!
There is ONLY about "9" different types of problems on the streets you can beat to earn "HERO POINTS" and it's fun to do them and to try out your attacks on thugs but after a while it gets really stupid and unrealistic. Don't you just love when you go up to a person and they say "Spiderman, that man is about to fall!" and it cuts to a construction worker clinging to the top of a building, (and this is the umteenth time this has happined to you today) "talk about unrealistic."
Also there are about 10 different kinds of common people in this game so after a while if you're talking to a person, you have probably seen that same person being thefted, injured, held at gunpoint by a thug, and who knows what else. (It gets tedius)
Finally this game is super short! I beat is in 4 days and i only played for two hours a day. (you do the math) In the FIRST spiderman, (which i gave 5/5 stars)it was twice as long and had really cool cut sceens. This game has close to none.
There are so many flaws with this game I can't even begin to tell them all.

LIZARD??? Where is tha lizard!

OK so on the game overview right here on amazon it says that Lizard is a bad guy in tha game. He is not there! BUT a lot of other sites say that too AND in the battle arena level there are LIZARDs to fight! PLUS a hint marker actuallly hints that he is in the sewer! Lizard is in this game but WHERE!? someone please pot a review confirming and saying where to find this fool!!! Oh yeah and this game is very good very fun lots of stuff to do gets old fast though so I need the lizard!!

This game is awesome besides the graphics travel anywhere in New York except the statue of liberty only on the mysterio level can u go there. The levels r great except for the levels with the power generator it just keeps blasting. Any forget the bad reviews just buy it.

I'VE GOTTEN TO CHAPTER 17 USING THE "HCRAYERT" CODE AFTER GETTING 50000 HERO POINTS I THINK ON CHAPTER 17 YOU HAVE TO GET ALL OF THE AWARDS BUT... I SAID I THINK, SO DON'T GO STRAIN YOURSELF AND FINISH EVERYHING AND GET PISSED AND SEND BULLCRAP MAIL TO ME SAYING THATS A LIE.ANYWAY MYSTERIO I COULD'NT BEAT SO I PUT THE CODE "HCRAYERT" CODE IN SO NOW I JUST NEED TO KNOW IF THERE IS MORE THAN 17 CHAPTERS AND HOW DO I GET TO THEM AND IF YOU CAN BEAT THE GAME AND GET NEW CIVILIAN MISSIONS AND CHALLENGES.

A scantily clad animated woman known as 'The Black Cat' shows up repeatedly to help or hinder Spiderman. If the reader is a responsible parent he WILL NOT buy this game for his child.

P.S. to those young men who will be enticed to buy this game because of this information; shame on you.
