Grand Theft Auto III, Reloaded.

It has its good (which are many) and some bad.

Pros:
Gives a lot of Spiderman control and actions.
Web slinging through the streets of New York is a blast.
Being able to side track into defeating normal criminals is so much fun it is easy to forget about the plot.
It is a lot of fun.

Cons:
Graphics engine is very weak, just like in GTA3.
Feet disappear into the ground, unable to walk over texture changes in the ground at random intervals.
Pass through buildings, cars, etc...

Most of the flaws can definitely be overlooked, and was probably released a little too soon. The flaws get frustratingly bad when your feet need to be on solid ground during some of the trickier boss battles.

I have had a lot of fun with this game, just the final battle with Doc Oct is more a battle with the graphics engine more than the villain himself.

But! The journey to get to that point is a lot of fun.

Good game with Great possiblilties.

First I'll skip the "it's all wonderful and great time playing the game" thing and get straight to the point.

The MISSIONS are GREAT, BUTaren't that challenging and fun. It's pretty much a lot of go here and do this with the exception of the arena mission. The arena is worth saving and doing over and over again. By the end of the storyline, we just end up with NOTHING TO DO. I bought the game and, in a WEEK, I have already defeated Doc Oc, reached every part of the city (EVERY PART), and obtained almost every award they can give. Playing street crimes become useless and you end you not caring.

Though playing Spiderman is a big draw, it's limited. With Spidey's powers in our disposel, we still are limited to really experience the crime fighter's ablilities. We can lift anything with the exception of the enemies.

All in all, great game... for a movie. I hope a next installment will be in the future, but hopefully not based almost entirely on the movie.
Buying = not worth the price their asking.(...)
Rent = worthing the wait for the return.

visceral web slinging excitement

This Game Is Elevated From The Rest For One Major Reason FREEDOM. This Is A Top Quality Game With Many Hours Of Fun. A Huge New York City Landscape At Your Disposal To Explore With NO LOADING! Awesome Spidey Powers, Tricks, And Abilities To Use And Gain With Practice. Such As Wall Crawling, Realistic Web slinging (You Need A Building, Tree, Flagpole, Etc. To Repell From), Arial Acrobatics (Summersaults, Flips, 360s +) Wall Sprinting (fun), And Much More. Plus An extended story line that incorporates more characters than the movie: Black Cat, Mysterio, And More. In Some Ways It's GTA's Morally Conscious Cousin. Spidey's A Consciderate Fella (even while brawling with thugs ;) Although The Story Mode Isn't All That Long (I Beat It In A Little Over A Day) I'm Quick, There Are Tons Of Side Missions, Hidden Treasures, Special Abilities, And Always Citzens In Distress. But As Far As I'm Conscerned Web Slinging Is Where It's At. With The Proper Technique And Abilities Gained You Can Fly Through The City Weaving Around Building, Through Alleys, And Over Skyscrapers At Neck Break Speed Sprint Along A Wall For A Short Distance And Shoot Out Another Web. Some Minor Flaws. I Flew Into A Building That Shouldn't Be Accessed, And Just Jumped Around A Little And Poped Back Out Again. Definately A Worthy Purchase For Gamers And Fans.

Really wanted to give it a five

Spider-Man 2 is an awesome game and it is way better than the first game by a lot. The past spiderman games have all had the same cotrols (spiderman and spiderman 2 both for ps one and spiderman for ps2) but they changed them in this one I think for the better. There are a lot of different combos for fighting and at first seem very overwhelming, but you have to by a lot of them with hero points you earn by going around the city helping people. Since it is a requirement that you get a certain amount of hero points to complete some objectives you get plenty of practice. The biggest and best change is that you can roam free within NYC. It even shows you on your map points of interest like the Empire State Building. The new web swinging is very realsitic and will remind you a lot of the movies and how he does it. When you go to buy new combos you can even get more fancy jumping techniques for when you jump, just keep pressing X and he'll flip and fly around. I think how they changed his overall movement makes the game ten times better. They also made how you react to the spider sense more like the movie. When you see a flash just press O and he'll dodge what ever it is, even if he's in the air. After you dodge something you can press another button right after you dodge to counter strike. I like how you decide when you attach to something in this one. In the last one it did it for you, which is annoying when you're web swinging around.
The big downfall of this game is that the graphics are bad. The graphics were way better in the first one. In this one when go to talk to someone there mouth doesn't move at all. Lets put it this way... the graphics are really good for ps one. I still highly recomend this game but if graphics really bug you then dont buy it.

A Swingingly Good Time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In this game, it gives you the feel of being Spider-Man. If you don't want to do one of the missions, you can do something else. Battling Doctor Octopus on the train is really fun because you get to dodge every single one of his tentacles and punch him really hard! This game is the best game that I have ever played! The music makes you get into the game. The graphics are very good for GameCube, PS2, and XBox. I also like the web slinging because it gives you the thrill of swinging through the New York City skyline. I liked the villians they chose for this game.

This game is Cool!

Don't listen to those people who say this game sucks. Their wrong. It's great the graphics and things you can do are awsome just like the movie! You can go on the streets not like the first one. The action is very exciting and gets you into the game. Must Buy!

This game is so awesome.I dont own this game but both of my best friends own it.The graphics are really good.I would say this game is the best game ever made in history. They should keep the price at $39.99 which is the price right now.People say just like me this game is awesome.Fighting the villains like Quinntin Beck,Doc Ock,and Rhino is the life.In this game spidey can jump really far and high.Spidey can sprint so fast that he can go faster than a car.Never say this game sucks.

Boring and Lame

I love Spidey, but this game really disappoints, unlike the first one you don't really fight anyone here, except Doc. You have to do over and over and over like 50 times each the same "clumsy" missions: catch a flying balloon, kick robbers behind, and delievering pizzas, it gets boring, the real mission are as lame as they can get. The "last" mission against Doc Ock is very tough, but not because its hard, but because the controls are not as responsive as you wish they were.
Rent it.

REALLY GOOD GAME

Grand theft spider

5 STARS.I think that they did a good with the spider-man sequal.Everything is upgraded except for the graphics. The only characters that look good are Spider-man,peter,and all the bosses.Everyone else is butt ugly.I started to laugh when I saw Mary janes face. The town's people need plastic surgery. But lets get down to the good things. The new swinging system is absoulutely wonderful. The swinging is better then all spider-man games ever created. You can do tricks after jumping off your web.And what I really thought was cool was jumping off of the highest building which was really high and right before I hit the ground I started swinging again.Um...I...um...messed up a few times. And for the first time in spider-man history you can rome the streets(not including those old 2-d games). There are endless missions from the towns people but the only thing that I don't like about it is that there isn't a big variety. There are vouluntary missions which consist of 7 different missions. The missions are robbery, helping police fight, medical emergency, carjacking, ambush, sinking ship, dangling people, and robot attacks(which I hate). And then there are Petty crimes(pop up out of nowhere. The missions are purse snatching, lost balloon, road rage,mugging,break-ins,and gang wars.I think that they could have thought of more. There are also pizza missions, photo missions, and Mary jane missions. The boss battles are really fun.Rhino is a bit to easy but is still fun to fight.Mysterio was a waste of time. The first Mysterio level was freaken hard. But on the second mysterio level where you fight him three life bars fill up.But don't be fooled because all you have to do is simply uppercut him.Personally I think that Shocker is the best boss because your constantly having to move around dodging his attacks. The first two Doc Ock battles were rather easy but it took me three days to figure out how to beat him on the final battle. But the game is rather short because it took me two days to reach the final battle.Although I played 5 hours a day. This game is very addicting.Spider-man has a good sense of humour in this game.Especially his reactions when the towns people yell out things to him.The hint markers are funny to.The area is very big.But it is New york isn't it.I found it rather hard to reach the statue of liberty. And by the way normal swing is better then easy. There are several shops to buy upgrades from. You can by 13 types of locomotion upgrades(swinging) and 23 combat upgrades. You have to do town mission to get health which really sucks.Spidey senses are easy to use.You simply have to press 0 to dodge.Spider reflexes allow you to tap into slow motion by simply pressing L1.You can do air combos. One combo I really like is the ability to hang your enemy from a street post or a stop light. There are over 200 challenges. One thing I like to do is look for enemy hideouts.I just like it.There are 40 awards you can get for a variety of things. So to finish things up the good, the bad,and the confuzzling.

Pro's
Cool combos.
Awesome web swinging.
Good sense of humour.
Big exploring area.

Con's
Bad graphics(at least for the PS2)
Not enough citizen missions.
To short.

Confuzzling
Who does the citizens voice.
Why does peter wear his glasses(he has perfect vision).
Has it ever appealed to you that people are hanging off the side of buildings because they were trying to clean up spideys web's hanging everywhere(your webs latch on to buildings).

Well bye!!!Wait,heres some useful info.

Helpful hints
I would write this on the guides section but I don't care.
When fighting Doc ock the final time use spider reflexes and combos.
Uppercut Mysterio.
On the Mysterio level where you have to reach lady liberty I personally think you should switch to easy swing.
Use the helicopters to reach unreachable islands. If your near water then use it as to your advantage.Throw thugs into the water.
When thievs are on top of buildings throw them off.
Orange buildings on your compass indicate hideouts.
White dots on your compass indicate stores.
Make the giant robots attack each other.
Type in Treyarch backwords(hcrayert) on name select to start off on the level after you beat Doc Ock the final time(you may wanna beat the game first). You will also have 200,000 hero points.

Well thats all I have to say.BYE!!!

Rated "T" for violence and scary images(the people).
