I haven't even finished Call of Duty yet... I am at the beginning of the Soviet campaign (bought the game yesterday, that says alot). Yes, the game is very short though. Just when I was really starting to enjoy the first couple missions - I am hurled into the British campaign - which was rather jarring to begin with. Defending the bridge was surreal, almost artistic... However, major complaint - the DAM mission was awful, horrible, boring even. You're just wandering through a semi-maze wasting very dumb Germans (who comically run into each other alot of times). Then, it gets worse - the car chase in the first campaign was thrilling (although it can only be played once because it is so heavily linear) but then the game designers decided to pull the same trick - which made it mediocre. Then there's the Stukas... there is only ONE way to win this one - get into the AA and blow them all up - you can't really do anything else, no other options (filler?). The worst mission in the whole game was boarding the ship and going undercover... why? You can't walk with the SAS guy - and you can jump, go prone, do any wild and crazy thing you can think of and still not catch the attention of the guards. Then as soon as you grab a weapon that is when the AI wakes up and the whole mission just turns into a lame, very lame, first person shooter... no brainer, kill Germans. However, from all the reviews I am glad that they saved the best for last. It is a good game, and there are a few missions I wouldn't mind playing again like the earlier ones... I do wish they had so more missions to play - and I still have yet to try the multiplayer (which is akwardly seperated from the game itself?!).

Pros:

1. Graphics are good... not great though, I wish they made water alittle more realistic.
2. Very intense missions - lots of firefights.
3. Finally! We get to see some blood!
4. AI is a big improvement over MOH.
5. Sound is fantastic.

Cons:
1. SAS missions (except Pegasus bridge)... Scrap the ship mission... even the dam mission.
2. Heavily, overly, incredibly scripted and linear missions.
3. Only ONE way to win each mission.
4. Needs more missions, way to short (charging us $60 then make it worth our while!)

This game has great graphics. It is fast paced and hard to stop playing. That may be the reason it doesn't take very long to finish. It wasn't overly short but not as long as your average FPS. Still, overall a great game worth buying!

A better kind of Medal of Honor

Wow! It's hard to believe that Medal of Honor was beaten to death by the new fps game The Call of Duty, but believe it! This game rocks! I use to play Medal of Hnor so much and I thought that game is best, but I was wrong, very wrong. This game is 5 times, if not,10 times better than all Medal of Honor games, so I strongly recommend this game.

Fun enough to keep playing

This game is very good and pretty i also enjoy it 4 times as much as HALO on pc not xbox. Becaus it is pretier and yet not as demanding now why is that?
Anyway back to the game. Game is very fast lots of bullets is used and you will feel like it is happenning to YOU, thats how i felt! Like many reviews said Russian campaing has that stalingrad mission where you have to go up in town under enemy fire and it is true the misson is beutifull as HELL i replayed it more than once. I also like U.S. campaing cause u get to use tommy gun which i think is alittle overpowered. And this brings me 2 wepons balance i think it has a flaw in that somewhere like rapid fire is to rapid! Also multiplayer is very standart and plain. Game realy needs headset fuunction built in so u can talk to your team instead of ussing those built in commands to who no one listens.
Those are very small problems what u get is intense shooting and satisfaction with each kill in the campaing. (Car scene will blow you away)

This Has to one of the best WWII games ever, it has great graphics and amazing Multiplayer Mode. The Multiplayer Mode is something that really helps the game alot. The Single Mode mode is Shaky because sometimes it is impossible to one level. I recommend this game to anyone who like WWII shooters. Happy Gaming and I hope this review was helpful.

For once we see a game other than the Tom C. games where you can play in a real war where you have a team of AI's who help you along the way. A realsitic game right down to the "clinging sound" that the bandleers make when you empty your clip. MP game is alright, but I would think they would have objectives to make rather than an all out bloodfest, which is cool for a while, but then growes borging after a few rounds. Anyone who enjoys a good WW2 game and has grown tired of MOH, try this one out, and I think you will enjoy it!

better than medal of honor

ok, Iv never liked the medal of honor series. I always felt it was lacking. When I heard this game was intense and way better than medal of honor, boy was I excited. It is definitly better tahn medal of honor. You feel like your really in the world. The best thing has to be your fighting along side other men, which adds to the realism. The best missions though ahve to be Stalingrad, and all russian mission. I love urban warfare, and thats what the russian missions are. The downfalls of the game is that its too short, i dont like the tank controls, and theres no storming the beach of normandy(which was the only good level in medal of honor:frontline). Overall if you like real war youll like this game.

I dont play shooters... preferring MMORGs (everquest, city of heroes) and strategy... This however is very very good... The
solo play was very fun. My only complaint is that the multiplayer
stuff is too fast - and the

If you liked Medal of Honor Allied Assault then you'll like Call of Duty. The graphics are as good or even better and the game is played the same. You'll play as an American, an Englishman and a Russian. The sound effects are great. It's a replayable game that at times can raise the hair on the back of your neck with all of the commotions of war taking place. It's a five star game.
