The Greatest Game

Where do I begin to describe this masterpiece of a game. First of all to those who wrote reviews before for this game, it is not a sequel to medal of honor: allied assualt. It is an entirely different game. The graphics are amazing, the best I have ever seen. The campaigns are historically acurate and are just great fun. The best part of the game I believe is the fact that you don't have to be the guy who goes point all the time. Most of the time you are in the middle of your squad. In MoHAA you are always point lead man. In MoHAA there are a lot of commando missions where you go by yourself sneaking around killing many germans in impossible missions. In Call of Duty there are a few commando missions, but CoD makes them fun unlike MoHAA. I will admitt that the D-Day missions in MoHAA were quite fun, but there was only so few of those kind of missions in the game. All of the CoD missions are like the D-Day missions in MoHAA. Every level in CoD is heart-stopping and jaw-dropping. This game is so real that you will believe that you are actually fighting in World War 2. CoD saves the best for last, so the game gets better and better as you go along. This game, I believe is the best game I have ever played in my life. And believe me, I have played many, many games in my life.

Just when you think you've played the best, along comes Call of Duty. Full of detailed graphics and sound, you can all most smell the gunpowder as you fight your way through 24 levels of action. Best still is the ability to play online in quick simulation games. I spent 4 hours playing and didn't realize it! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Good game

Critics say it's the best war game ever. I'd say if it was released 2 years ago, there's no doubt about it. With too many similarities with those mega hits released before, you won't be impressed easily. That doesn't mean I did not enjoy this game. I can't stop playing and I love almost every aspects of the game. The sequence design, graphic, and sound are outstanding and most important the multi-player mode is unbelievable smooth. I don't consider MOHAA a five star game and same as Wolfenstien. But I do think Hitman and Max Payne 5. So it probably just my personal preference.
The conclusion: go get this game and you won't regret!!

Amazing game, some tedious moments...

I have to say, since the moment I installed the Dawnville demo I knew this game was special; I was right. I got it for X-MAS and I haven't stopped playing since.

The gameplay is fun and smooth, and the graphics, while not ultra-amazing-spectacular are excellent, but a little dated.
The sound is simply breath-taking; the best I've ever experienced, period.

Overall, this is a a great game to own, since it is fun, CHALLENGING, and doesnt need a mega powerful gaming rig to be run. I had no trouble playing it with my entry-medium level pc: pentium 4 1.7, 256 mb pc133 RAM, and a Geforce 2 440mx 64mb video card. I, however, would really like to get a new sound card and a new set of 5.1 or even 7.1 speakers ( currently I have a 2.0 speaker set, lol), because the sound is so thrilling and straight-forward amazing.

As all of you might know by now, the game is divided into 3 campaigns : American, British, and Russian. I'm currently finishing the Russian campaign, and I can tell you, it has been very CHALLENGING to get there ( I've been playing on "Regular" setting) .

The American campaign was very fun, spectacular, with lots of gun fighting. So far, this is the campaign that I've liked the most ( as a wholesome ). The British campaign starts with you defending a bridge from wave after wave of German counter-attacks. This mission was hard, challenging, and fun to play. Now this is where the tedious moments start happening over and over again. This is where the game drops down a notch from "AMAZING" to "MOH:AA Expansion Pack". During a couple of missions you are left for the most part of them, gunning Nazis on your own, with the typical "get this docs", "blow this up" objectives. The ship mission was particularly tedious, and really, it seemed like MOH:AA, or even the old Golden Eye : 007 for the N64....

Luckily the British missions were over, and the Russian campaign made its spectacular appearance with the re-take of the Red Plaza....OH MY GOD! What the OMAHA beach level was in MOH:AA, this mission is in COD. In one word: Epic. Very well designed and planned. I specially liked the part when u take the sniper rifle and pop german officers from the top of a building.

So far, the Russian campaign has been like being into the movie "Enemy at the Gates". The environments are tight in, with a lot of ruins, great for snipers.

As for the multiplayer part, there are many, many servers, but I haven't been able to fully enjoy it because I dont have broadband :(

Well, to finish up, I would like to say that this game is one of the best ones I've played in years, Even though it is a little short, it is FUN, CHALLENGING, and overall a GREAT GAME TO OWN.

I give it 4 1/2 stars, simply because of the British Commando Missions and the fact that it is too short.

Thank you, and merry Christmas.

Currently this game is my favorite. It runs smooth as silk at least if you have the specs to run this game. I have Nvidia. If you have ATI Radeon, I suggest you go update your drivers to 3.10 or go back to 3.7. Also check out the support page at Activision.

This game is well executed: story, graphics, enemy AI and sometimes friendly AI (they get in the way sometimes), gameplay options, the music is perfect to set the mood, etc. My only gripe is the last 3 missions: too short yet great anyway.

One of the things I liked was the group feel versus fighting alone. You're not in charge so there's no micro management. Given there are times when you must go it alone and that's okay to bring a change of pace to the game. I sure hope they make an expansion soon. Yet I don't think I'll ever uninstall this game. It's staying in my hard drive.

When I first got this game I was so excited to play. As soon as I got home I installed it and almost beat it in 1 night. Now I know perhaps that's were the shortness in gameplay comes(My bAD) Anyways I recommend anyone that likes WW2 First person shooter games to buy this one it is well worth the money. You will not be disappointed!

This game is incredibly intense. If you have experience playing shooter games you should definately choose a more advanced skill level. I've heard complaints about this game that people whizzed right through it. If you choose a more difficult level, I guarantee that you will be challenged.
