For a change you are not alone in your efforts against the axis powers. You are part of a team (hey like the real army). This time your army buddies actually know what they are doing, and you almost feel bad when you let them take the lead. While you arent forming bonds with these robots, they know their jobs and do them well enough to save your ass. This game rocks.

I'm what any reasonable person would probably call a hardcore gamer. I've played pretty solidly for the last 15 years, and I can honestly say it's a rare thing to come across a title of this quality.

This is one of the top ten games ever made. Really. Gameplay, immersion, fun, balance -- this game excels in every regard. Even better, it makes some of the major conflicts of WWII come alive. In particular, the Soviet campaign (the third single-player campaign) truly gives you the experience of being thrown, helpless, into the German meat grinder. You don't even get a weapon until a few missions in to that campaign!

If you like first person shooters, you should own this game. And if you like them war-themed, stop reading this now and just buy it. You won't be disappointed.

The Game You Must Buy!!!!

This game is better then all the 1st person shoters because you realy need to work as a team and those games like Battlefield : 1942 and the expansion on the internet you can drive tanks planes and jeeps. Every time some 1 goes in a jeep the guy who drives kills the guys also in the car and there is no team work, in call of duty there is tons of team work. You can go in planes or tanks on the internet but you can on one player mode. There are many game types you can play. AND THIS GAME HAS THE BEST BEST 1 PLAYER MODE.
And in 1 player mode you can go in a tanks 2 times. You know in games there is no team work in 1 player modes This game has team work here too. GET THIS GAME NOW BEFORE THEY MAKE A BETTER GAME!!! *Bye Bye THIS GAME!

THIS GAMES IS AMAZING!

Call of Duty is one of the best second world war game that I never played. One time you play at this game you will never be able to play at a Medal of Honnor. The graphic of this first person shooter is completely amazing like the sound and the music. The solo missions is split in three campaigns where you will be in the body of an american, a british and a russian. A lot of weapons, of super cool missions and a very good multiplayer on the net. Thats what wait you if you play at Call of Duty!

Better than Medal of Honor!!

I originally heard about this game before it even came out in a review for Medal of Honor. They recommended that the readers check out Call of Duty's official website (www.callofduty.com). I did, and I was blown away by the screen shots and videos.

A couple months later, the game came out and I was probably one of the first to receive it from Amazon.com (preordered mine). Upon playing the first couple missions, I was astounded by the realistic, gritty detail. It amazed me how immersive the game-play was. It has same cinematic qualities of Medal of Honor, and then some.

Call of Duty not only allows you to fight with the US Army, but allows you to fight as British and Russians, as well, all of which feature realistic weapons pertaining to the era and nationality. This adds up to 3 separate campaigns, all including about 5 missions.

One little thing it includes that goes a long way, that MOH forgot, was to allow you to look down the sights of your weapon. I love it! All you FPS players know what I'm talking about. Call of Duty also lets you switch your weapons for those found on dead enemies, not something you were able to do with Medal of Honor. This provides for open, realistic, open-ended playing. If you don't like the weapon given to you at the beginning of a mission, no problem... Just throw it for your enemy's.

Not surprisingly, multiplayer is stellar, as well. It has every mode imaginable. It offers smooth performance, even for those who are a little lacking in the bandwidth department, though, I wouldn't recommend depending on it.

an excellent game by any standards

This is the most engrossing game I have played since the first Halflife game came out over five years ago. Enemy AI is very good and makes for interesting replays after dying.

Other than the GTAIII & Vice City games I have not bought many games in the last few years since my old pc would not do them any justice. After finishing building my new pc- I decided I needed a current game to see what my new system could do. I could not have picked a better title to christen my new pc.

I have not found anything negative to say about this game and I am very picky about game quality. Until Halflife2 is released I am sure I will be devoting all gaming time to Call of Duty.

The standout parts of the game are the Russian levels, especially the tank levels.

I hope there is a sequel already in the works, or at the very least an expansion pack.

all I want to do is ask why so many people are compareing this game to battlefield 1942. they are nothing alike! bf1942 is a multiplayer online game where there is no story. in one review a person said this was the game they wished bf1942 had been. WHAT? did they not read the description for bf1942? have they ever even played it? I want to know! anyway this game is grat as good as the MOH games. buy it. but don't compare it to bf1942, no comparasion.

buy the way Battlefield vietnam is coming out soon. to learn more go to http:/Battlefielvietnam.ea.com. listen to the radio there good oldies.

Wow! I've played the demo over and over again. It is really good. Your squad members aren't anywhere near as stupid as they are in Medal of Honor. All I have to say is if this is the demo, how much better is the actual game going to be? I can't wait.

Great WWII Shooter!

If you're wondering whether or not to buy Call Of Duty for the PC, quit wondering and buy it! This game is AWESOME! It really shows the ferocity of WWII.

Graphics: 5 out of 5
Great graphics really bring this game to life! From the lush forests of France to the cold snow of Russia, the graphics don't miss a beat!

Sound: 5 out of 5
Excellent sound quality also brings this game to life. From the quiet of forests in France before the main parachute force comes, to the artillery explosions and machine guns mowing down soldiers at Stalingrad, it's all excellent. You really feel like you are there! I was diving for the floor it was so real.

Game Play: 5 out of 5
The game play in Call Of Duty is the icing on the cake. You have a whole bunch of weapons at your disposal (all realistically modeled) and your AI buddies and enemies aren't stupid. They lay down covering fire and can fend for themselves. Some say this game is too short, but that's only if you sit down and play it all afternoon. To play it once in a while really stretches out the game play and some levels make the play just a little bit longer (Stalingrad, I'm talking about you).

To sum it up in a few words, this game is great, and every FPS fan should have it. Go out and buy it today! You won't be disappointed!
