SH3 gives new meaning to "Attention to Detail"

I've been playing this game for about 3 days now, and it doesn't take long to realize that it is the best Silent Hill ever released. Here are the highlights...

Graphics: Simply incredible. I cannot get over the attention to detail that the developers at Konami have given to this game. The graphics look so real that they seem photo-realistic. Everything in this game has detail, down to the last tile on the floor, a piece of paper hanging on a wall, or a dirty sink in a bathroom. The graphic realism of the game literally sucks you right in and makes you feel like you are in the game.

Sound: Much better than SH2. The sounds in SH3 are very creepy and eerie. Subtle sounds seem to jump out when you least expect them and they end up scaring the hell out of you. The rest of the sounds in the game are composed very well and adds to the realism and "suck you in" factor of the game. The game actually comes with an extra CD with the soundtrack on it.

Controls: The controls require some adaptation, but they are essentially the same as SH2.

In general, it's an incredibly frieghtening game, much more frieghtening than the Resident Evil series. Oh, and don't forget, the ONLY way to place this game is with the sound turned up and the lights turned off.

I am a big fan of horror video games, especially the Silent Hill series, but I also love the Clock Tower series, and the Fatal Frame series. I have to admit Silent Hill 3 is one of the best I have ever played, even though I haven't finished the game yet. It is really challenging for me, and a little confusing, but yet it is still very fun. The graphics and music are awesome. I give this game 5 stars because it's so exciting, scary, and fun. If you liked this game I would recommend you play Clock Tower 3.

First of all SH3 was short, But it was fun. Not too scary but entertaining. I like the fact that when you beat the game it opens new stuff up. I've beaten the game about 9 times, and opened up just about everything. you can unlock costumes, a lightsaber, flamethrower, sub-machine gun with unlimited ammo, and even cycloptic beams out of her eyes, and ect... Not the best SH game, but its worth checking out.

The Horror Lives Again

Konami has done it once again. Silent Hill 3 pulls you once again into the world of survival horror with an all new cast, a new assortment of arms, and new puzzles to solve to find the answers to a troubled past.

You play as Heather, a teenager living in a small city, who is just enjoying a meager day at the shopping mall, when a detective approaches her to question her. Being the despondant young girl she is, she quickly eludes his questions, and tries to flee the mall, only to become caught up in the mysterious horrors of her past. Monsters begin to spawn around her, and she doesn't know why.

Silent Hill 3 flashes back to the original Silent Hill of when Harry Mason battled against the abomination created by Dahlia Gillespie. As you progress through the story, you learn about Heather's role, and how she's connected to the town of Silent Hill.

The grotesque atmospheres, creepy monsters, and unnerving sound effects are even better than those of the previous two Silent Hill games. Some of the bonus features include new weapons, such as a flamethrower, and a type of lightsaber. Plus, you unlock codes after completing it that allow you to get new costumes to wear as you go through the story. Hey, a girl has to look good when she's fighting evil, right?

So if you're into being completely terrified outside of your wits, Silent Hill 3 is definitely a must-buy.

This game is basically a just an add on to the first SH. While the second game had an amazing storyline with great plot twists, this has a plot so shallow it made me sick that I paid this much money for it. Waaaaaay too short. For the kind of money I put into it, I expected way more. Graphics and sound are great as ususal, but that just underlines the pathetic plot. Save your cash for SH 4, which I hear they are working on. But I'm renting 4 next time, instead of running out and buying. I learned my lesson with this dud.

They just keep giving!

I have loved the Silent Hill series since I first played the game, but as I'm getting along in age (I'm not even 20) I seek more from games. Now as I play games I look for a more mythological/psychological base so that I may analyze them and convert them to something real i.e. religion. This game delivers with bonuses( If you don't agree with me just read a plot synopsis for these games and see all that can be learned). Any who, I should just end here by saying that this game will truly freak you out(When the walls bleed and the mannequin gets its head chopped off are two of my favorite scenes, Play the game and see what i mean)It easily compares to the other games in the series. I recently beat the game and continued on unlocking new things ... this game has excellent graphics and incredible sound that goes with the game, the storyline is fantastic and has a twist to it , the character's voices are good although sometimes they are very hard to hear because the are swallowed by the games' sound and music. but in overal this is a must buy. i'm expecting another sequel ....watch out Resident evil! the ending was ..ok.. but am gona let you be the judge of that!

this game is really good i love the graphics when i decided to play earlier SH games before anything i read tons of reviews and they all said is scary as hell ect... well is not scary is just jumpy ...hmmm. maybe thats because my TV's volume was low..lol yea but overall i thought it was a great game i had rented it though am planing to buy it and am in the part of where... sorry can't spoil it for you.

its really good you think there will be like another SH ? like sh4 or something i hope so.. this game was great! ever since i went back to rent it again they never have it is always rented out so i've decided on buying it instead.
