Red Dead "Made My Day"

When I first saw this game, I was not interested in it due to it having a western theme, but when I noticed it was made by Rock Star, I thought I'd give it a "shot".

Boy was I surprised. In no time at all, I was addicted. Not only was it entertaining, but funny. The dialogue from your enemies while pummeling them with bullets had me rolling in tears. The controls are great and the diffulty level was just right. I've played this entire game twice, and I would have to place it in my Top 10 All Time Must Have Games.

As always, I have to give a shout out about how bad No One Lives Forever since I first wrote about it three years ago. Sorry, but that game still stinks and I would avoid it even if it were being given away for free.

this game is good cheap now buy if you didnt before and if you cant afford gun for 49.99 buy this game cause they copied it

I am in general very proud of what the boys at Rockstar have accomplished in there carear. The prestigious GTA and Max Payne series are no doubt the greatest in there genre. I have found that Red Dead Revolver falls far from the mark. This is just not an impressive game at all. The graphics are chopy, gameplay is repetative, and the characters are shallow and almost just a formality. The only highnote is that the multiplayer mode is a lot of fun but to truly experience a range of levels, characters, or weapondry with your friends, you need to play the monotoneous main story. In the end, it is just not worth it. If you are looking for a good Rockstar game, I advise Bully, or GTA. If you want a good western game, buy Gun. It is a lot deeper and cleaner. If you just want a fun game, I highly recomend Destroy All Humans 1 or 2.

There have been very few, if any, video games that are set in the wild, wild west. Rockstar Games, an awesome company, should be given credit for attempting to go where few other companies have ever gone. Red Dead Revolver is a good western video game I suppose, but perhaps video games simply weren't meant to be set in the old west. In this age of special operations and counterterrorist video games, Red Dead Revolver can not truly compete. The plot is lacking, and the gamer never truly feels attached to the character of Red. There are limited weapons that mostly all feel the same to use. These things combine to make for a very boring gameplay. Save your money for another summer blockbuster.

AFTER PLAYING A FEW LEVELS ,I WAS TOTALLY HOOKED ON THIS COOL WESTERN BASED ACTION GAME !! I HAD BORROWED IT FROM A FRIEND,AND THEN HAD TO GO RIGHT OUT TO BUY IT. YOU PLAY AS BOUNTY HUNTER ''RED '' WHO IS OUT TO AVENGE HIS PARENT'S DEATHS. YOU GET TO RIDE ON HORSEBACK WHILE SHOOTING ,AS WELL AS NORMAL GUNPLAY TOO.. THE BEST FEATURE OF THE GAME IS THE DEAD EYE FEATURE, WHICH IS A SLOW DOWN FEATURE WHERE YOU CAN TARGET YOUR ENEMY. AND AFTER THE SLOW MOTION IS OVER ''RED '' SHOOTS AT WHATEVER SPOTS HE MARKED ON THE BAD GUYS.THE DRAW IS THE HARDEST TO MASTER, BUT IT CAN BE DONE.THE LEVELS ARE NOT TOO HARD, BUT THE BOSSES CAN BE,ESPECIALLY WITH ALL THE GUNPLAY THAT IS INVOLVED.ANOTHER COOL FEATURE IS ALL THE WEAPONS YOU COLLECT ALONG WITH THEIR UPGRADES TOO. hmmm...I was really psyched about trying this game! Unfortunately, what I found was a gold mine of crumby programming.
The 1st time I played, I beat the second level. The game, on the other hand, didn't agree and left me to wander the empty level for 30 minutes until I gave up. When I retried, everything went ok. Isn't that some crap?
On top of that, the camera is uncooperative (and stupid) and the controls are so-so. These two factors merge into a pile of frustration sure to disgust you!

Oh yeah, and the graphic are at times below average.
Also, you might get magically teleported through a fence or wall joint if you run or aim against them.
The game is original, though, with neat stuff like dueling. Too bad it's not enough to make up for the shoddy program work the creators sleepily drug their feet through.
This game is *NOT* GTA quality!

Rent it if you're intrigued, and make your own decision.
I say it's poop.

Bought the game on the first day it was released, and so far I've played it everyday. Graphics are good, controls are easy. Lots of targets to take aim and release vengance. The only drawback would be freedom to roam. As games and graphics get better, freedom to roam large cities, towns, or whatever, becomes increasingly more important. Sort of like GTA. But all in all this game is a buy.

Rockstar Games has a reputation and, in my opinion, it fueled the excitement over this game. A fresh genre with which to explore, I actaully found this game to be too linear and predictable. Don't get me wrong; the soundtrack is excellent and the graphics are intentionally "spaghetti western" great. I just wish that it didn't get so stale so quick. It's a short game that can be completed in several hours. The storyline was predictable. All in all - a fun game worth a weekend rental. You'll be done with it by then.

I rented this game and what a waste it was. I dont even want to finish playing the game and I have the game for 4 more days. This game lacks a real story and it doesnt really hook you into playing the game... It just gets more boring. The controls on the game is horrid too. This is a real bland game over all. There are alot of better games in this genre.

Ok,i rented this game and i loved it i got it and the gameplay was awesome so my recomendation is,if you like action games with good storylines, GeT ThIs GaMe!!!!!
