microsoft bites

I bought this game and when I try to run it, it says "profiling", it stops profiling and never loads the game. My system exceeds the minimum requirements and I have contacted microsoft and they have given me the run around. I'm very unhappy with microsoft! If a zero was allowed, I'd give the zero to microsoft for their lack of customer support in regards to this game.

As real as you want it to be!

A must for rail fans...period. THE BEST!!!

I have enjoyed playing this game although it seems to scream out "I'm a basic game without any special features." I commend Mircosoft for producing this game although I feel that some more animation and sharper graphics could have been included. I still can't get over looking at the train from a third person view and not seeing anyone at the controls. The complete lack of people is a bit unnerving and if included would have dramaticly added to the feel of playing this type of game. I found that once I've worked out how to drive the train and perform the tasks of getting to the staion and leaving on time, each of the different scenario's are basicly the same; the difference is the type of train and how it looks. It does play smoothly and the sound was done very well. The price is a [...] for what you get with this game. I would recomend you wait until the price gets down to around [$] before buying it. I also hope that Microsoft comes out with an expansion pack to add to the graphics detail, add some animation and offer a variety of possible scenarios. All in all it's fun but definately not a rush.

Amazing product, being an ex British Railways Fireman I was able to get straight onto the Flying Scotsman and take it From Carlisle to Settle, no problems, just drawing on my firing skills learnt in my employ.. like wise the class 50 diesels and the DMU. So many add ons to be got from fan club web sites and groups. Have added Swansea - Carmarthen route and added GWR loco's and stock to run on it... including the only GWR 4-6-2 'The Great Bear' brillient to see it running.

I think Microsoft Train Simulator is one of the best and funnest games I have ever tried, because it is so realistic, and I think the more closely related a game is to real life the more fun it will be.

MICROSOFT IS REALLY TAKING THE LEAD ON SIMULATORS AND THIS IS NO EXEPTION!! THIS IS TRULY ONE OF THE BEST SIMULATORS BY MICROSOFT FOLLOWED BY MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR AND THIS SIMULATOR WAS MADE BY THE DEVELOPERS OF FLIGHT SIMULATOR. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SIM, IMAGINE DRIVING THE "BULLET TRAIN" OF AMERICA: ACELA EXPRESS. YOU CAN ALSO DRIVE STEAM LOCOMOTIVES, DIESEL, ELECTRIC. IM TRULY AMAZED WITH THIS SIM SO GO AHEAD AND BUY IT!!!

This is just another fine product by Microsoft.I have yet to find very many problems with anything Microsoft puts out.Amazon stays on the top of my list,as the best web site to shop for ANYTHING!!

yeah its not a bad game,but it doesn't thrill ur spine either.u ahve to maintain a schedule and after sometime it gets quite monotonous and boring.

This games is an extraodinary simulator. With the amazing scenic railways to speedimg on the rails of the world. When I got this game I thought that it would be just another boting simulator, but it wasn't. I loved it, so you should get it. So do your self a favor and get this awesome game.
