I soo loved this game! It's so realistic and the graphics are absolutely fabulous! If you're looking for a great car racing game pick this one up! It's worth the money!

I havent even bought the game and it's already a great game.

Other reviews of this game show this games excitment and durablity.

I hope to transfer some of my items (if I can) from GT3 (like my fully modified Honda Integra Type R) and be on my way with the game

Now Brian is right, if you think this game is too hard stick to the kiddy games. Of cource i don't think its hard cause i have 5 years of experience with racing games and i have a couple of tricks for those turns. When i got this game i rented it (of cource) to see what it was like, and i gotta tell you this game is great. Graphics are better and more realistic, there are over 650 cars and manufacturers and the cars handling is real. With the cars handling they include the wind friction, brakes, weight, traction etc. There are also over 100 tracks including new ones like new yourk and the grand canyon, the grand canyone was easy because it doesn't have that many sharp turns. The things that i didn't like are the A.I, all of the computer cars race on the racing line so its impossible for them to pass eachother unless they break the racing line. I also didn't like that leguna sega raceway, you have to have a car with good traction for that because on that famouse turn i slid and lost first place, but i managed to stay on the track. There is still no damage which i hate but they have new cars which i like. My favorite are the acura, ferrari, lamborghini, Cadillac and chevy. There are also some tracks where its raining or been raining and i didn't see the wipers move or anything, if they did that it would have been better. they improved the crowed too. In A-spec they were like flat pieces of paper that did the same thing over and over. They have a new light feature for the cars, some of them will have yellow racing lamps, regular, halogen or xenon lights (mostly acura and cadillac have xenons). So this game is worth the money, get it now, you won't be sorry. Also for those kids that say its too hard, why did you buy it? That doesn't make scence, you should have trusted your instinct.

I read the reviews and went to GameSpot and downloaded a bunch of video clips. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. The starting point requires too much work that was not fun (unlike Burnout, where you also have to work a lot at the beginning, but it is more fun). My son played it once and it is already headed to the resell bin. I gave it more of a chance, but it didn't take long for me to come to the same conclusion.

This game is just awesome; the graphics, soundtracks, game play and the list can go on and on. It reality makes it a bit difficult for the in experienced gamer. But for masters it truely blows you away.

Since racing games have started coming out, the most popular in the entire world has been Gran Turismo. Any fan of the racing genre will say they have tried one Gran Turismo or another. It started for the PS1 with Gran Turismo, with unreal graphics that no one had seen before and many cars. Then came Gran Turismo 2 also for the PS1, showing much improvement over Gran Turismo 1. Then, Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec for the PS2 blew everyone away. It truly showed the power of the PS2 and many people bought the PS2 just for that came. Now comes along it's big brother, Gran Turismo 4. This game truly has the best graphics out of any racing game or any game, period, on the Playstation 2. This game could qualify as a PS3 game as it's graphics are just stunning. This game is incredible and should be picked up by any fan of the racing genre.

First of all, this game has over 500 licensed cars, and real-life tracks, new and old! The cars details have all been redone and look exactly like real-life models and the backgrounds have shown improvement over Gran Turismo 3 as well. Playing Gran Turismo 4 after Gran Turismo 3 is like "cleaning off a pair of dirty glasses to see the world as it truly is." Okay, enough with the graphics, but is the game good? The gameplay and physics of the cars feel exactly as they would in real life while we were driving (if we could afford these amazing cars). The physics engine has been improved from the classic games and is now better than ever! The first time I popped the game into my PS2, I spent literally 1 hour just looking at the 250 available cars at the beginning of the game and just drooling, they're models look amazing as they are exact replicas of the real cars down to the last detail!

In this game, not only do you have the standard career mode and arcade modes, you also get B-Spec Mode and photo mode. B-Spec mode is basically just auto mode and the race goes by itself in 1/3 of the time and is a good way to collect money for other cars and tracks. Photo mode, however required much more effort. You get to look at all the replays of a race and choose from multiple camera angles and take pictures of the car in mid-race. This sounds kind of dumb, but it's much deeper than it sounds, I felt like becoming a photographer after playing around with photo mode for a while.

The bad thing is still the A.I. as they are very predictable and very sloppy. Just hit them into a wall and pass them. Another problem is there is still no online play!

Even with those few problems, this game is definetely worth the $49.99 price and will be in your collection for many months to come and might even last you until the Gran Turismo 5 release, and hey, who knows, maybe it will be released with the new PS3.

I have been playing Gran Turismo games since I was 5 years old and have enjoyed the races and all but it all was not because it had lacked great quality scenery and enough about me. I have not played it yet but I know it will be awesome and be much better than all of the others 'cause I'm a die hard fan and have all the games.

Game is great except for two things, first is you only have one choice of view when racing the cars, no longer can you watch the whole car from the roof camera or see the whole car just behind it. Also there still is no damage found on the cars no matter how hard you hit a wall or another car, very unrealistic.

i'm going to enjoy this game. and i know a lot of people are complaining that its not online. but i don't use the online stuff anyway so it doesn't bother me. there will be an online version out anyway sometime in the middle of 2005.

anyway a great non-online game will make me happy anyway.
