The only reason i bought a PlayStation anyway.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that PlayStation doesn't deserves to be bought but i'm not a video gamer, i just like gran turismo video game and that's it!!!

If you like the cars the way i like it, you'll love it, it's a funny way to spend the very few free minutes left before you die in bed because of day to day duties.

GT4 beginners guide

By now you know that people either love or hate the game so this isn't a review it's a strategy guide. (Note: this is for those who DID NOT transfer data from GT3, also this is not to be completed in one day). By now this way has been copied over and over again but I don't care. Start the game get all licenses through iB then get a used '89 Skyline GTS-R (or whichever '89 Skyline you can afford) the GTS-r is only 5,600cr so you can soup it up, buy level 1 weight reduction, racing flywheel, racing chip, and if you can afford it either a sport suspension, OR semi-racing exaust and air-filter. Also get and oil change(from GT Auto) then enter the Special Conditioning Hall and partisipate in the first two races, the first one nets you the cadillac Cien (749HP), sell your Skyline and use the Cien to win the second race and get a rally car, sell the rally car for 265,000+cr., purchase a Honda Beat from used car showroom one, oil change and tune to the max, go into beginner hall and use the Beat to win the Lightweight K-Car Cup, sell the Beat and the Ginetta G4 you win. Use the Cien to win the Sunday Cup and the M/R Challenge in Beginner Hall (sell the cars you win for money) in Pro Hall win as many races as you can partisipate and sell the cars you win, go to American events and win the Hod Rod Competition and win the '70 Chevy Chevelle SS 454, keep the car (and the Cien), soup up Chevelle to the max (about 780 HP) win 1000 Miles! in European Hall (this takes 8-12 hours) you should have over 1,000,000cr. and 5-6% completion. From then on you should buy a Mercedes SLR-Mclearen and win what you can in the European hall, you have enough money to buy, tune, win, and sell cars even after the pricetag of the SLR (400,000cr+). Win what you can with your licenses. Once you run out of races get the iA license and use the SLR to win the super car challenge and Gran Turismo Wolrd Championship (Both in Pro Hall). Now you have 0ver 20% game completion.

This a great racing game for your PS2.

This game garfics look some much real. I like how the cars look on the game. This game is a classic for PS2. I wish this could go online. I can not wailt for Gran Turismo 5 comes out for PS3. That will be on March 1,2006. If you hat this game you must be a fool or you just hate racing games. I give this game a two tumbs up.

Grand Turismo 4 is worth the wait!

Grand turismo 4 is the greatest driving simulator ever. The games grafixs are unbelivable and the cars handle like the real ones. And No and I mean no game has more cars than grand turismo 4. The game has over 750 differt cars I'm talk'n everything from the Ford Model T to a 2005 Mersades SLR McClaren! So I would make sure u pick up this game

When I got GT3 the cars selection was ok, BMW was the worst, 1 car I know they could have added like the M3, or the M5 ect.

This game need racing wheel, tailor-made seat and HDTV to play.
I'm too serious? No, I really think the above are not options for this game. Sitting at the bed, holding a joypad with 27" Sony TV is ok if you play GT 1 to 3.
I played a lot of racing games, GT series is the best and they made big progress on each newer version.

To answer the quick money question, get the license up to iA (very easy just to get passed and good for future) and save money to buy a Mitsubishi EVO (new or used, I prefer new one, MR version, since 20,000+ is no big deal at this game) then go win the 2nd rally game at EASY mode (Need only A license). Just 2 races (2 round each) and you can get the Toyota RSC rally car worth $260,000+ along with $10K reward.
I saw many other suggestions but they just take too long or great effort to get the money you needed.
Don't forget to spend $5000 to buy the nitrogen bottle so you can pass the enemy at the first 5 seconds. It's difficult to stay behind coz you will deduct 5 seconds for acceleration whenever you rear-end the front car.

Also, do the oil change whenever you got a new car, for $50 this can add 5% HP to any cars.

While this game isnt as fun to play as new racing games like Midnight Club 3: DUB edition. But if you like releastic racing, then this game is a must. Gameplay is releastic and graphics, well..they just make you wonder about human creative ability. If you're a fan, then definitly recomended that you play this racing game. It's unquestionably the most releastic and greatest simulation racing game ever created.

I feel the need for speed. Very realistic game, excellent racing, very challenging. Everything a true race fanatic could want.

...Get it! But, I would advise, buy GT 3 and then complete it. and then get Gran Turismo 4! Because they it really does build you up for it. This game is amazing, I'm telling you... it was worth the wait of nearly 2 years!

I have done about 70 races and I'm only 3.5% complete. This game is truly amazing, I'm hooked and I nearly took a day off work to play this game!

buy GT2!

I dident like gt3 when I got it, it came with the ps2 "slow to update" anyway i dident like it graphics were inproved but 2 things hapened more than half the cars vanished and the steering radious went to none so I got gt4 for my b-day form a store but it dident play literaly put the disk in nothing 17 disks same problem the store sent all of em back so I rented a copy. horible!! it has fuer cars than gt3! yah its got model t's buy who in their right mind races with a top engine speed of 34.8 mph take this advice BUY GT2 FOR $2.00 if you want internet play gt3
