They are forcing you to play a localized server

You may not know what this means but they are taking a world wide game and limiting it to your local region. This kills the game community, bad move by the makers - hopefully they will change their minds before they release the game

You will not find a better, or more addicting game today. I love this game, most of the kids on are shocked I am as old as I am, until I tell them my 70 year old mom plays...(seriously, she does)

Ok i have a few points to make, this game is amazing first of all i mean the immersive gameplay and quests make it al worth it. and if you have a decent computer the game can look magnificent. now to the "trends" i see in some of the engative reviews.

Addicting? not unless you make the CHOICE to get addicted to it so yeah thats on you.

Ummm WoW has over 7 million subscribers, while EQ2 just hit 500,000 (and ive played EQ2 loved the race/class selection but just not very user friendly, also love the guild system they use.)

i formerly played Final Fantasy XI and talk about repetative and in alot of cases linear, that game was filled with the same monsters in different colors, really boring.

I guess over all coming from FFXI to WoW ive had alot of fun, the game if so immersive but i only take it in small doses i currently have a level 42 Dwarf Hunter, 25 Night Elf Hunter, and a 15 Human Warlock, and i hope to make myself an ally shaman soon. but the game is awesome and you should definetly try if not buy it try the trial.

This game isn't about playing for the quests or levels (these things are fun though) but its about interaction with others. I have multiple level 70's and I have a successful guild and friends all around the world. Yes the virtual world is no substitute for reality but its suprising how quickly those two will cross when you play long enough. I have been privlaged to meet multiple friends in real life I wouldnt have known if not for this game. So you can play it for its pretty grafics or neat dungeons and quests lines. but the real draw is the interaction.

I DON'T GET IT.

I very much anticipated this game but as of this writing I am very much DISAPPOINTED. It's probably just me. Anyway, I cannot figure out how to utilize the mini-map to the best degree. It seems to be quite useless in any pertinent capacity. I never really know where I am in the world.
Also, I do not know why Gamespot gave this game a 9.5 rating. I do not think it deserves it.
Let me ask you a question, has anyone DIED 6 times in level 3. I find that the battles are too tough. I was playing a certain character & I lost 5 times in a row at level 3. Possibly I am retarted. In City Of Heroes the battles make more sense. So does the game in general.
In World of Warcraft, you find yourself losing to equal level monsters. What is that?!? Why is this game so complex both in theory & in reality? Even the Strategy guide is over 400 pages. Why so much pretentiousness just for a computer game?
City of Heroes is Not a Great game, but in comparison to World of Warcraft, I believe it is the best MMORPG thus far.DAOC is even worse than WOW.
I really wanted to LOVE World of Warcraft, But I am inclined to believe that it is an Over-Rated waste of time. I went for it hook, line, & sinker. Boy, Was I Wrong! I bought the game & stategy guide. I do not know how to play the game with any efficiency without dieing first. And I read the strategy guide & the web sites thoroughly. I must be retarted.
Oh Well. Another game I will have to try to sell on eBay.

I'm stunned at the fact that to play this game you have to go online the entire time?! I got this from target for what I thought was a bargain at 45 bucks and couldn't wait to play it at my home.

imagine my surprise when I realized that you cant just play it on your computer by itself, oh no, you have to go online, upload everything, hope your computer doesn't freeze with all the graphics, which I wont be able to see by the way, and try and keep up with all the stupid rules that these people have made?

What happened to the strategies that everyone who liked warcraft loved? Now its just some other stupid first person piece of [...], like we dont have enough of this on x-box, playstation 2, and gamecube. No offense to any other game, but the fact that you cant control armies anymore sucks more than i can even say.

And it gets even better to those of you who have bothered to even read this. You have to PAY a monthly rate to keep playing this. Pay 13 [.......] dollars of hard earned money, or allowances for you snotty rich kids, just so you can run around by your lonely self.

Big freakin deal you can choose between 8 different races, a lot more money would have been churning in Blizzard's bank accounts if they stuck to what everyone, especially me, wanted with towns and cities you could build.

This is a complete waste of time, dont even bother buying this, just go to your friends house who was dumb enough to buy this, you wont waste 50 dollars, and some of you can go waste it on substances you buy on the streets along with your lives.

I hate what has happened to this game, and I pray to god, or whoever else is nice enough to listen to my side of the story, that the next newer version of Warcraft, if there ever is one, is back to the old versions of Frozen throne or earlier. So go and buy this if you want, I'll be laughing at you the entire time you level your character up.

Thsi is quite possibly the easiest MMORPG out. That's probably why it's blowing EQ 2 out of the water in sales. The problem is your playing for an hour and your level 50 it's way to esy. If you want a real challenge get EQ 2. Also in EQ 2 there are no real dumb asses just really cool helpful people. I like WoW but I just want a challenge but I'm sure 11 year olds want a game where a quest is going to the town you were already walking to. thsi game doesn't deserve the sale prices or great reviews it's gettting on this website. If you want real MMORPG buy EQ 2.

This game is fun for the first three or four characters you make, but the quests tend to get quite repetitive, and some are obscenely annoying... You may have a quest in a new zone, you head there to finish it only to run into mobs 2-3 levels higher that you that like to gang on you and kill you near-instantly. It's a good game but... Some things can be improved. Won't stop me from playing though. ;D

Looks impressive, but we weren't ready for the extensive downloads and pay to play. We gave up when we saw a 12 hour download time, after already spending 3 hours downloading the game and signing up. Only for the strong of heart!

Warcraft 3 Chaos and Throne are good..AND SO IS THIS!

I think this game is going to ROCK. If Chaos and Throne is good so is this. (...) If u are a WC 3 playa, get this game. If you think this game is going to not go out good...YUR CRAZY. BOTTOM LINE!!! GET IT
