From the moment you view the opening movie (which can be seen again and again), you alreadly know that this game is good. WoW didn't invent the MMORPG, but it launches it into the 21st century! With games like this, it's amazing anyone plays Dungeons and Dragons anymore.
The Alliance (humans, night elves, Dwarfs, gnomes) are set against The Horde (orcs, Tauren, undead, trolls). The Alliance and The Horde live an uneasy peace. The World of Warcraft is divided into 3 areas: Alliance, Contested and Horde. And the game has two HUGE lands to explore, which will take you HOURS on foot. I'm a newcomer to the game, but I'm a fast learner. You owe it to yourself to have this game if you have an internet connection (and able to pay the monthly fee).

This game looks outstanding, but as we all know, looks can be decieving (Asherons Call 2).This might redeem Blizzard as a great game maker after the Warcraft 3 disaster. Unlike most people I learn from history. Blizzard has a habit of throwing release dates around, with no respect for the general public. If this thing is out by 2007 i will be amazed.
not a great game for all the fees

You can't play this game offline
Battle mode is too user-friendly. All you need to do is one-right-click the monster if you are playing the worrior.
Monsters are not spawn fast enough
not a team-game game
Nice graphic

World of Warcraft is an overall fun PC game it has RPG (Role playing game) and PvP (Player v.s. Player) capalblities. You can meet other players from around the world and interact with many different things in the game. The graphics are great but if you do not have the right graphics chip it won't look as good as usal. There arelots of things that you can do which I can't explain so check it out for yourself.

Thsi game is great, but it doesn't work if you have a firewall installed on your broadband connection. Even if you follow Blizzard's weak directions to open up port forwarding, it still won't work. If I bypass my fw/router and connect directly to the broadband, it works great, but that's a pain. Can't get any decent support from Blizzard either.

I think this is too involved for an 11 y/o. He only played, maybe 5 times and hasn't touched it in weeks. I mentioned to him that his free trial was expiring and he needed to decide if he wanted to continue and pay the fee and I got a noncommittal answer so I dropped it. It's still just sitting here in the box...
He's a really smart kid, he's in advanced classes and has been gaming since he was in diapers. I just think it's intimidating to play with other people at his age. Plus, for me there is the whole issue of him playing with other people at his age, too, so I can't say I am too sad it's over either.

The game came in fine condition, but the license was was already used, so the game could not be registered and played. An online game is pretty useless without a license. I assumed that if it was for sale, it had some value, but I was wrong.
