To new to know, but still sounds promising

Lets consider what is being said about this game: 80+hours of play. twice the levels, quests, and side quests(or more) of the first one. 5 characters, not 3. Animation that goes beyond the wonderful details and quality of the first. The ability to create new and powerful items and weapons, and use parts from the ones you find, or to buy parts.
Play Magazine (Hey, I like to site my sources) has done a wonderful job covering it past issues, giving it a B+ on review (pretty high for them), and the reviews from other game magazines (Gamers, IGN, OPM) sound favorable too. Yeah, its going to be like the first one... its a sequel, set in the same place. HOWEVER, If you liked the first, and you know the first, dont worry... the second sounds like it is as good, if not better. (4 stars because the first one was good, and this one isnt released yet.)

Before this game, all I played was Madden.

What I like about this game is how many different oppurtunies you have travel different places. Also, the new characters, my favorite being Dorn, I like how you can do co-op and have one person run up and do a melee attack while the other shoots in with a croossnow or just a regular one. The Magic is also really cool. All of the differen t spells you can put on your opponents. Last of all, there are soooooooo many different speacial abilities like sprint, bullrun, hail of arrows, deadly touch and many many more! I highly recomend buying this game.

Great Game! A nice followup to the original.

I bought this game mainly because I had lots of fun with the original.

Similar in look and feel to Diablo I & II, this installment of Dark Alliance has lots of detailed environments to explore, with great graphics & fluid animation. There is a cast of five playable characters, each with their own unique quests and abilities, and you fight through great-looking dungeons and settings, encountering monsters familiar to any D&D fan. There is also a fun multi-player option if you feel like teaming up with a buddy. Basically, if you loved Diablo, this is the game for you!

The only drawback I can think of would be that this game is basically hacking beasties, hoarding gold & weapons, and fine-tuning a character to become a superpower. If you like a game where the story takes main stage, you may want to look into other options. Although it has a bit of a story, and nicely continues where the original left off, this is a hack n' slash at heart.

An enjoyable game

To me, this game was a lot better than BG1. This game has more characters than the first, it's a longer game, and it keeps a fun pace throughout the entire game, but it still did not meet my complete expectations. BG2 isn't a bad game, but it still is just an ordinary hack&slash videogame.

First Impressions!!!!

Ok, I got this game in the mail yesterday, and let me tell you last night I only got 1 hour of sleep!!! This game is excellent, very addictive and entertaining. I specially recommend this game to Diablo II fan's...this is an awesome option if you own a PS2.

Yeahhhhhh!

This game is better than the first. You can now put gems on your gear and weapons, making them even stronger. The graphics are about the same, though the saves are faster. I am not a big fan of RPG's, but i love this game. it improves off the first story line. If you have a PS2 without this game, you are crazy.

Awesome

This is a wonderful game if you are looking for a co-op which I am always looking for. I didn't like it "as much" as the first one but it was a lot of fun. Lots of magical things that you can do. We gave this game away to a family member and I wish that we would have kept it.
