Rainbow six rogue spear is definently a game for anyone who likes first person shooting games. It has awsome graphics and will leave you screaming tango down in your sleep for weeks! You are a special opperations person that is assighned to missions from new york city to omen near the red sea.How ever some missions you don't shoot people at all and if you get caught you fail. So, if you like to run around and blast people until your health runs out try swat 3 or a space game. But other missions you get to plant explosives and kill every body in the base.So if you like extreame action games go buy rainbow six rogue spear!

Easily one of the best games ever

The ease of play, the range of possible scenarios, and especially the multiplayer aspects over the internet are phenomenal. I personally love the solo missions where you can really test your stuff.

SO REALISTIC IT HURTS!

Forget everything you have ever learned from anarcheous first person blood-bath games. You will need a totally different strategy for this game because when you're dead ... well you're dead. You can't just reappear and keep playing. One shot + one kill = Realism. You will have your back against the wall, waiting to peek around the corner without making too much noise. Your heart will race and the adrenaline will flow as the dramatic music heightens the suspense of who lies around the corner, or behind the closed door ahead. You will dim the lighting in your room and turn everything else off so you can hear which direction the footsteps or the gunshots are coming from. You will be surprised, scared, shot from behind, sniped, outnumbered or out-shot. The replay value is extremely high because of the online play, terrorist hunt, and lone wolf options. Some missions are nearly impossible on the highest difficulty setting which can get very frustrating. The online play is VERY addictive because getting killed is more cause for revenge than getting fragged. I would recommend getting the expansion pack as well because of the custom mission option. This option creates at least another month of replay value alone. Can you strike hard and quietly enough, without being seen and alerting the hostages all at the same time? It's up to you to find out!

Love the multiplayer!

Not being a fan of the FPS genre, I hesitated before buying the original Rainbow Six. About 3 AM the next morning I realized this wasn't just a FPS with real world plot - this was an experience. Rouge Spear adds everything that was missing from the original, and the multiplayer experience is great.

Highly recommended.

Better than the original. True Clancy style!

I do not play the overly gory shoot-'em-up games anymore, Quake, Unreal. This is the intelligent mans, uh.. persons, first person shooter. Planning and strategy are as important as how many bullets you put into the terrorists. If you run in guns-a-blazing like you do in quake, you will be sorry. With this game you have to use a "scalpel" not a "broadsword". Precision is key. Plan it right, or your dead.

Great action!

Great game for multi player interaction. The only thing keeping me from giving it five stars is the single player mode which while somewhat fun, is very tedious. You long for more control over your players/teams. However, it is multiplayer mode that Rogue Spear really shines. With various maps and weapons, the strategies become endless. Rogue Spear also allows player to create "mods" or modifcations that change various elements of the game thus allowing people to create new maps and weapons - inlcuding a gatling gun. The game also works well for people that do not have a joy stick. I've been able to navigate the maps with just a keyboard and mouse and still remaing somewhat competitive. I'm not a huge gamer by any stretch but have become addicted to this one.

I downloaded the demo and was really impressed. Your team can act indipendant of your controls. It is very intense at the harder settings. You can only get shot 1 or 2 times before you die, and the bad guys know when to duck!

R6 has returned with More Powerful Enemy ever dreamt of..

I played this game and it ROCKS...really.. Never imagined that Bug-filled R6 could be so entertaining and COOL than ever..

It's the coolest and I want to have it for myself. Best Present for incoming Millenium..

Another classic

This game is filled with my opinion better graphics, gameplay, and freedom in the gameplay. The cinemas are outstanding and their are even more weapons and more stuff to choose from than in the previous game. There are more flawless and jaw-dropping enviroments even including a airplane hi-jacking. I think that this is one of the best games i have ever played. I strongly reccomend this if u liked the last game or delta force 2. BUY IT!

Overrrated, too difficult and hard to play.

This is a superb shooting game with lots of realism and strategy incoprorated. Graphics are great as is choice of team-mates and weaponary. I guess that it pretty realstic in a lot of ways as your team mates get in your way, and the terrorists are not as stupid as they are on some other games - they will shoot at you as soon as they see you. But there are times when you shoot at a terrorist and he doesn't die but shoots you instead. It seems to be a problem with the game. There are lots or really weird glitches too. You see dead terrorists levitating and half of them stuck through walls and their legs hanging down through the roof etc. I find it irritating that the designers take so much care to make tyres go down when you shoot them, and different sounds when you shoot a bed or a window, but then so little detail is given to other aspects such as the lights which don't go out if you shoot them. I have never seen lights like that. "Goldeneye" has lights that pop so why doesn't this? A lot of this game is just too difficult to win at. In addition, you get a mission such as the one at the datcha where you must avoid detection - this is really difficult. The idea is to plant a bug and a camera and leave as though you've never even been there. You can go round and shoot al the windows out and still complete the level...and no one will notice that there are windows missing, glass everywhere and bullet holes in the walls? My point is, if you are going to go for realism then go all the way, or not at all. My low rating for this game is due to the problems I have had playing it on the PC. I think it's a game with really great potential, but you end up waiting all the time while the computer makes grinding sounds which freeze your action, but while you are frozen it really impedes playability and you end up getting shot because you can't react. Unplayable due to this, and I have a powerful computer, so that's not the problem. This is overambitious for the PC market, and there are things that need rethinking to make it a better game.
