This game is so cool. My firend got it and then I playd it and it was soooo fun. We luv watching the show. The peopel that U can B look lik the real characters. Not lik in other games wer they look distorted and nothing lik the real charater.

Simpson's Road rage is an outstanding game...as I write this review, my girlfriend is playing, and is truly experiencing road rage!

The game stays fresh by being able to unlock different Simpsons characters and neighborhoods, allowing hours and hours of gameplay.

Truly, a fan-till-astic game!

This will definitely not be the deepest game you will ever play. However, if you are a huge Simpsons fan, this game is definitely worth the investment. It is basically a shameful [copy] of Crazy Taxi with Simpsons characters. You drive around town as one of 18 playable characters, pick up passengers, follow the arrow to their destination and drop them off before the time expires to earn money. If the trip timer reaches zero, the passengers becomes impatient and jumps out of the car. If your overall time runs out then the game is over.

The best thing about Simpsons Road Rage is that it is true to the show. The environments look exactly like they do on TV. You will see the Simpsons' home, the school, the Kwik-E-Mart, the church and the Retirement Castle just to name a few recognizable locations. The characters' voices also sound authentic as they quote familiar lines from the show. There are 18 playable characters (actually 16 since there are two versions of Homer and two of Moe) including the entire Simpsons family, Ned Flanders, Professor Frink, Otto, Groundskeeper Willie, Snake, Apu, Chief Wiggum and Krusty the Klown. They all have their own vehicles to fit their personalities and/or occupations. There are also several other unplayable characters who appear as passengers, like Milhouse, Ralph Wiggum, Hans Moleman and Principal Skinner. Then there are the six huge environments. You can cruise through the Evergreen Terrace neighborhood, the Entertainment District, Springfield Dam, the Nuclear Power Plant, Downtown or the Springfield Mountains.

There are four driving modes to play around with. The meat of the game is in Road Rage mode, which is the taxi mode I explained before. You must play this over and over and over in order to earn money to unlock characters and neighborhoods. Every time you play, your money gets added to a cumulative total. Every time that total reaches a predetermined amount (10,000, 30,000, 50,000, 75,000 and so on), you can choose whether to unlock another character or another neighborhood.

The other game modes include Sunday Drive, where you can drive around any of the unlocked neighborhoods and get to know the terrain and find shortcuts. There is also a Mission Mode, which includes ten missions, usually involving knocking over a certain number of street signs, light posts, mascots, etc., that you may or may not want to bother playing through, especially since the game takes a long time to reload itself every time you restart or fail the mission. Finally, there is a two player multiplayer mode where the two players are in a race to pick up each passenger. Once the passenger is picked up, the other player can steal the passenger by bumping into the car with the passenger in it. Whoever ends up dropping off the passenger gets the money and the first person to earn a set amount of money wins the game.

Of course there will always be some negatives to every game, and this one is no exception. First, the loading times are almost unbearable. There is no such thing as a quick restart. Second, the game can get repetitive very quickly. It starts to feel like a chore playing game after game after game trying to add more money to your pot so you can unlock the other characters. The change in environment can help some, but some of the neighborhoods have huge learning curves. It could take a lot of exploring before you get used to some of the environments. And when you are trying to add money to your pot, it is hard to waste a game earning only 2,000 in Springfield Dam when you know you could earn around 9,000 a game in Evergreen Terrace. Third, I cannot decide whether the dialogue in the game is annoying or entertaining. Each passenger has a number of lines that they might say when they jump in your car, and your character has a number of lines that they will say as a reply. However, more often than not, the two lines do not match up at all and it sounds like a pretty random conversation.

Negatives aside, this is a pretty simple game that you can always go back to when you have nothing better to do. It is not likely to keep you occupied for hours at a time, but for any Simpsons fan, this is a pretty entertaining game.

Simpsons Road Rage is Great for the first week of two. The game gets boring after you have unlocked the different levels (which should take only 15 min.) The game has some funny phrases, but they get boring after the third time!!! By your 5th time playing u should of memorized evrything about the world.

P.S. u should beat the game in about 5 days on the hard level!!!

Pros:
- fun game premise
- LOTS of great sound bits
- wide variety of characters & vehicles
- large maps with tons of hidden shortcuts

Cons:
- only 2 player
- not much to do other than road rage
- pathetically wimpy endgame sequence
- long load times (load time for mission mode is occasionally longer than the mission itself!)

Graphics? Ok. Controls? Ok.

Basically, it looks like the designers had fun turning crazy taxi into the Simpsons. There's lots of extra tidbits that got in, but not much time was spent into making it a fun-to-play-for-hours-on-end type game. If you're a Simpsons fan, buy it. If not, don't bother.

Ive always injoyed the Simpons, but this game gets old fast. because you don't have any change of back ground and after so long of running over the same things( Rocks, Stop Sighens, other cars, Lawns, Childern) over and over agian the game gets lame, and the missions are hard to beat. However the the graphices on "Road Rage" is very good.

Rent this first before you buy.

The Simpsons delivers again, this time on the Playstation 2, with astonishing arcade graphics & loads of simpsons characters it sums up to three words:

1.FUN

2.CHALLENGING

3.HUMOROUS

1.FUN: Well 1st off let me say it is the Simpsons so how can it not be fun?You are free to drive where and how ever you want.Speed through streets of evergreen terrace, knocking over pedestrians and crashing into cars.The game play is fun, with 2 player you have to race you opponent to pick up a passendger and once you do you are going to have watch out because they can be stolen by your opponent, if you get them to where ever they want to go e.g. Kwiki Mart to the Box Factory you get $1000, 1st person to reach a certain amount of $ wins.So yes, the game play is FUN.

2.CHALLENGING: Just because it is a cartoon it is going to be easy, more adults then kids watch this classic show so dont think the "MISSION MODE" is going to be easy.There is a number of missions to do such as knock over as many newspaper stands in a certain time, but there are many more.But dont sweat it kids, if you have a hard time beating that level it will let you skip which in my opinion is pretty cool.You can unlock levels and characters such as Grounds Keeper willie whihc comes with a tractor , each character comes wit there own vehicle.So yes this game get a bit CHALLENGING.

3.HUMOURUS: This what makes this game so great.Each character you select has it's own proper voice & stays in it's character.Such as if you pick Ralph up he will say something stupid or will say that his daddy will arrest you.Or if you go to fast, slow or reckless they will let you know.Your character that you select will speak to passengers in it's character such as if Homer picks Flanders up Homer will speak to him in a rude sort of way but if he picks up Barney Homer will speak to him in a friendly way.And there are loads of characters with loads of catch phrases.So yes it is HUMOURUS.

As you can see it is essential for all Simpson fans, young and old.

...by giving this game two stars. I would have given it three, but it just isn't that good. This game is fun for about 30 minutes but then it's just boring. You pick up the same people and take them to the same locations. The missions are boring and the only thing good about this is the two-player Head To Head option. Now that is some good fun. The graphics are pretty good for the PS2 also but those are the only little things this game has going for it. Sorry, Simpsons fans, but this is going to be a disappointment unless you are a die-hard Crazy Taxi fan.
