i love this game never gets old and is probably the best game ever. no game i have ever played is better then this game. if you thinking about buying this game then buy it, you wont be disapointed

This game is simply the best there is. The only drawback is the requirments. I have a 900mhz AMD Athalon cpu and I have to run minimum graphics and its still a bit jumpy.

Grand Theft Auto 3 is one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played! It is incredibly open ended. You can complete each mission in any way that you want to. It is incredible. The city is very realistic and you can do ANYTHING!!! Drive anywhere, shoot anyone, but watch out! If you cause too much damage, the cops will come and get you. There are even different levels of police ranging from the normal cops to swat teams and even the FBI. GET THIS GAME!!!

Well folks, this is it! This is what the gamers around the world had been waiting for since Privateer. This game is simply revolutionary in terms of gameplay and the amount of freedom that it offers.

For years the gaming industry have been churning out clones that looked pretty but lacked substance and gameplay, Quake clones and warcraft clones abound. GTA3 bucked that trend and resoundingly announced that in the gaming industry innovation pays (6 million copies and counting). Whether you are a casual "playa" or die hard guru this is the game that you must have. You can try to finish every single one of the nonlinear missions, jump every stunt ramps, find every hinden package, which would take months of combing. Or you can just blow off some steam by running around steal cars, rob old ladies, beat up hookers, or blow up SUVs and/or other items of conspicuous consumption. The possibility and replay value is endless. Trust me get this game.

p.s. multiplayer would've been nice. But as a programmer myself who sometimes dable in the arcane art of game making, I understand why adding additional features that is not well thought out to a game that is almost perfect may detract from the original title. Those who are in the know will often tell you that the difference between features and bugs are so very delicate.

chances are you know this game. i have yet to meet a person who hasnt played or watched someone play this game. nothing short of amazing. perfect combination of style and action with a hint of comedy around the edges. sure, its been attacked for its supposedly very high violence levels (i remember seeing montel williams flipping out on TV because you can kill a hooker) but its really not much worse than any other violent game.

if this game is reviewed with vice city in mind, the rating might go down. vice city is superior. but gta3 is the original, and if viewed on its own as the first, it is nothing short of amazing.

This game is one of the best games of all times! Even if you have already bought it on ps2 you should buy it just to edit things or and new cars/islands/missions to the game.

well, well,...the great GTA3 will come out for computer. not surprising. be aware that if it is on computer, the graphics will be about twice as good. They will also add new cars, skins, etc... to make the game funner. this game is a non stop player because it is so unrestricted. you can do anything in it. it is the best of it's kind, (and only). one problem though, it will sell like candy to little kids when it comes out, so pre order it now, before prices go up, and before they're all gone. you will not regret buying it.

If you're looking for a game that teaches you some life skills or some morals/ethics, this is not the game for you. If you're looking for a game where you get to blow all sorts of stuff up and wreck havoc and mayhem, you've come to the right place.

Some of the challenges in the game are nearly impossible. Which is fine because then you can just drive around the city and cause chaos. Cheats make the game much more fun since it gives you weaponry you would otherwise not be able to get (for instance, a tank).

This game is great for when a person needs to relieve some stress and wants a forum to take out their frustrations, without fear of legal consequences. But this game is definitely not for kids. Killing innocent people, carjacking vehicles, beating up prostitues for money and murdering cops is material that is totally inappropriate for children. But for adults looking for non-wholesome fun, this is it! My only complaint about the game are some of the glitches (walking through walls, getting stuck in walls, etc.)

I bought this game around the first week it was released and I have to say that this game is awesome. What I especially love in this game is the fact that you can use your own music which is not even possible on the PS2. Another feature I love about this game is the skins which let's you change the clothes on the character. The only thing about this game is it's rated "M" for Mature meaning keep the youngsters away from this one. One concern I was worried about when I bought this game was the requirements but the only really good thing you need for this game is a 16MB graphics card and at least 256Mbs of RAM or more depending on how your sytem runs but I play this game at 800x600
which is actually good with no skipping at all. But to me this is one if the greatest games ever made and I recommend it to anyone who wants to add up there collection. So if your looking for a great game for your Laptop or a game that you can sit down and play for hours without being bored Grand Theft Auto 3 is the good choice to go. :-)

What can I say. The game speaks for itself. This game goes beyond any other game I've ever played before. Although the graphics aren't that good the gameplay and story (wait what story) is awesome. The game is so cool because you have free reign. You can run around, drive cars... The game is really inventive. And I can't wait for the fourth one.
Bottom Line: GTA3 Steals the Show
