Strictly for juveniles

A friend had this game at his house and challenged me to game. Upon seeing what the game was, I reluctantly agreed, but found this game got very boring after about an hour. I also have a moral issue with this game. There is a saying that you become what you think about and practice. Think about grand auto theft, violence and guess what you become!This game is strictly for juveniles who are obviously bored and have too much free time on their hands. Also, Grand Auto Theft didn't appear to be that fun or even challenging if it is only a game.Save your money.

fun for the first five minutes

I liked the originality of this game, but most of the missions are tedious, esp. the ones that require you to race against time. The fact that the console version doesn't allow you to save during a mission is simply silly...

Great game, no probelms under windows 98, radeon 8500 and an amd xp 1800, got noticably slower in 1600x1200 though,
and whats the deal with the mp3 player, i thought we would get to make radio stations not just one mp3 station that randomly plays mp3's you put in the folder

I have finished GTA3 on the PS2 and the PC version is a gem to the eye compared to the PS2. The graphics are so much better, loadtimes are incredibly short. The controls are a little harder to get used to. I have no problems at all running this on Windows XP, a powerful system is recommended though to play at the highest settings to prevent the graphics from being choppy.
I run this on a P4 2.4GHz, 1064MB RAM and a Radeon Pro 9700 videocard.
It is a pity the PC version has nothing added to it and the grapics could have been even better.

All in all a superb open ended game with a zillion things to do, i cant wait for GTA VC to come out on PC.

GTA III is fun but not as good as Vice City. I'm about 17 missions in and so far I'm not all that impressed. As far as I can tell there's no chainsaw or flamethrower, even with cheat codes. And worst of all, there's no Molotov cocktails. The graphics are not as good as Vice City. GTA III's graphics are fuzzier. So far, GTA III's missions are just conventional mob/criminal in nature (whacking people, stealing, etc.). I got a kick out of the funny missions in Vice City such as taking long range photos of the politician in a impeachable activity with an adult film star "actor". Some of the missions in GTA III are annoying such as when you must steal 3 cars for a Japanese mobster and then must deliver them in perfect condition. In GTA III I don't think you get to own cool businesses like strip clubs, porno movie studios or ice cream trucks from which you sell narcotics. You can't go into as many buildings in GTA III as you can in GTA:Vice City. In GTA III you can't point a gun at a store clerk to rob the store.

However, I do like GTA III's larger city map. The M-16-like assault rifle is too powerful. But, I do like how the game designers made the AK-47. It's somewhat like a real Kalashnikov.

I don't know if GTA III came out after GTA: Vice City. GTA: Vice City is alot better and in addition to the things above, the Vice City's gameplay is smoother.

this is my favorite GTA game next to San Andreas. I loved playing this for PS2 but it is even better on the PC. The PC version actually allows u to aim by usinf the mouse where as in the ps2 vesion u had to use the auto aim button with most of the guns. I found that boring because you couldnt miss so there wasnt a challenge in shooting

I've never played GTA I or II, but I picked up Grand Theft Auto Three and it is an increadibly fun game, what you do in this game is run around on missions to kill people, steal cars etc.
If you like games where you can drive cars around citys, like in Driver this game is definintly for you. The only drawback to this game is you need a pretty good computer to handle it.

Grand Theft Auto 3

THIS GAME IS AWESOME! You get to go around shoving people out of their cars, shoot mobs, gangs, padestrions. If you steal a Taxi cabs car in PS2 ride in it (not to far) and the taxi cab driver will come back and throw you out! That's funny! Also on the PS2 there are codes to get the Padestrians to fight each other. To get your health back you pay hooksers to.. umm well you know the rest. and after your done just shoot her and get your money back. If I were you I would get at every dime and nickel to buy it, and if you have to... steal some money. well this is the best game i ever saw i give it 5 stars (i would give it 10 but it wont let me ;) )
