Oh yea... city building at it's best

If you played SimCity 3000, the you'll be familiar with this layout, since it's pretty much an upgrade to that game. New maps, landmarks, buildings, rewards... more of everything! These games are great.. and this one is the best so far! The create your own scenario and building editors are top notch, and there is a wonderful online community to go alone with this game. There's all kinds of cool stuff to be downloaded online... BUY THIS GAME!

Lots of fun, but you'd better have a fast computer.

I adore SimCity 3000, but I have to admit it can be a frustrating experience on a slower machine. I have a Pentium 233MMX, which admittedly is old, but still well within the System Requirements stated by Electronic Arts. Unfortunately, even with all the animations and processor-hogging options turned off, the game still runs slowly as the city expands. I'm sure it's great on a PII or faster, but sadly the old Pentiums just don't cut it. If you've got a faster machine you'll love it, but people with older machines might want to stick with older versions of SimCity until they upgrade.

Simcity 3000 Unlimited is currently installed on my computer and continues to please and delight me. The new features have doubtlessly been counted and recounted, I shall not go on with those. I have found all of the new features fun and made the gaming experience more enjoyable, and worth the cost of the upgrade. Giving my city a European and/or Asain flair is delightful, as is being able to manipulate scenarios and buildings. I debated about whether to get this verison, and if you are, I heartily suggest that you go ahead, you won't be disappointed!

I have had problems with SC3KU freezing on my computer, however. I didn't have the same issue with S3K, so I can only fault this upgrade, which hasn't been addressed on their website as of yet.

Onwards toward SC4K!

This game is really cool! Here's all the features of Sim City 3000 Unlimited that Sim City 3000 didn't include: It includes 4 new disasters which are Whirpools,Toxic Waste Clouds,falling space ships, and locusts,you can make you're own buildings and scenarios,improved graphics,you can make as many landmarks as you want and there new ones,Plus at least one new reward building. if you're a Sim City 2000 fan that didn't buy sim City 3000 cause it wasn't much different from 2000 then you should go with this one since it's a lot more up to date and realilistic than Sim City classic and 2000. P.S. Sim City 3000 Unlimited also includes scenarios that 3000 dosn't that are a little more complex than those of The original Sim city and sim city 2000

Going from SimCity 2000 to SimCity 3000 required a little bit of effort to get used to the differences, but once you do, you will find this to be a highly superior game. Graphics are not as good as SimCity 4, but SimCity 4 is more boring than 3000 Unlimited. Not only can you build cities, but you can make your own scenarios and make your own buildings. The Building Architect is actually the most popular feature of SimCity 3000 Unlimited. In SimCity 4, all you can do is make cities... until they release expansion packs and you have to pay $30 for each expansion pack, which I do not plan to do. I've played every one of the SimCity releases, and SimCity 3000 Unlimited is the best one and the one I've played the most. It has so much more to offer than any of the other SimCity's and is the best game for your bucks.

This game simply ROCKS! Better than Simcity3000!

This game simply ROCKS! It has some more features from the original Simcity3000, including, 4 seasons, fall, summer, winter, and the original spring. You can also choose the types of trees. More than 30 more landmarks included, 2 NEW tile sets, and some NEW scenarios! It's the best buy for any Simcity Players. Buy it NOW!

Can't get up from my computer

The best way to rate a game is by how long you will sit and play it. At least for me that is the case. When five hours goes by like nothing and you still are not tired of playing the game, you know you are hooked. This game is in one word awesome. It is a lot more challenging to use than the previous games that I have played. I highly recomend this game to anyone. It is really fun.

Before recieving this game for Christmas, I read dueling reviews on how this program responds to a particular computer. I personally have no problem with the speed. It's really fast on my 368mb ram, 1.3 ghz., windows xp computer. I've encountered no problems with it. This program is so much fun. its easier to control than simcity 2000 because there are advisors that tell you the problem. I also think that the graphics are a whole lot better. You can actually see what is going on. Even though I have had trouble mking my needed money, I think that this is a challenging game and you need to think globally in order to make the best decisons for what to do with the money you have. I also think that its really cool to build landmarks, like I built a world trade center memorial, the eiffel tower, the united nations and the bank of china in one city. If you like designing and running a city, this is a great game for you. I would recommend that your processor is rather fast, however, so you don't encounter problems.

Very fun, it will keep you busy for a long time.

Sim City 3000 Unlimited is awesome! It is one of the best games ever made, the graphics are incredible, the sound is incredible, and the power you have over your city is really cool. This game is addictive. I love making my cities very rich with a nice ghetto on the other side of the train tracks. I love this game

Fun game, but have a top-line computer

I have a Pentium 233, and this game runs fine on it, up until I grow my cities to around 100,000 or so. After that, it pretty much crashes. Also, Electronic Arts needs to, in the next version, make it so users can edit the real city terrain (i.e. the Seattle map is WAY TOO SMALL to build on) and also make it so one can build on diagonals rather than strictly with right angles and also build on hills. Make it more like real life.
