A great game! Very fun! Jam packed full of hilarious characters which get bigger and bigger by the moment. Luckily your weapons grow with these beasts. You will definitely enjoy progressing in this game...just to see what's coming up next.

Great fun both with cooperative and death match modes.

The one problem? Resource hog! Bad graphics compression and high requirements make the game lag at times and experience the "see-through wall" phenomenon. Enough to make the game bad? Hardly! Worth every penny.

Sam is the man!!!!!

I just got done beating this game. It was short..it took me a total of 6 1/2 hours to do so, but what an action-packed game it is!!! Hordes upon hordes of other worldly beasts come streaming at you constantly..but it never becomes monotonous. There are secret places to be found, each containing ammo, health, or neat-o weapons.
The graphics on this game are stunning. I have an ATI Radeon 32 meg card and this game makes full use of it!!! The landscapes are very picturesque and you can almost feel the heat and sand beneath your feet. I actually jumped a few times when a beastie jumped out of nowhere and sucker-punched me.
The sound is also very cool. When the Werebulls come charging I could feel it resonating right off my subwoofer! The cannon weapon you pick up really booms off the speakers, too, when fired. The music too is very catchy...gets you in the mood to play this game!!
Highly recommended FPS game. This game is a ton of fun for very few bucks. Thanks to all the folks at G.O.D games for one kicker of a game!!

Serious Sam

Serious Sam is an fps with a great action gameplay. You play Sam "Serious" Stone a charecter like Duke Nukem or Caleb of Blood who is sent back in time to save the world, The whole game takes place in Ancient Egypt with about 14 levels. I played it on the default OpenGL video mode, the graphics are fantastic as good as quake3. The textures look real. The levels are very big and the areas are very large with many wide-open spaces. I like the choice of weapons too. The saving and loading times are also good. It is not a game like half-life, The gameplay is just get from point A to Point B by shooting everything that moves, no puzzles solving and not many jumping too. There are not many different monstors but there will be loads of them comming on all sides, They respawn a lot but they dont cause much damage and it is not very hard getting them. Picking up ammo and health respawns the monstors, Infact if you find a locked door pick up the ammo and health packs lying arround, the monstors will come on all sides, and when you killed them all the door will open.The game is quite short but it has a great replay value and this game is not about completing it is about enjoying the action gameplay. The multiplayer, co-operative, and split screen modes and the very cheap price make serious sam really worth it. Serious Sam is one of the best action games i have ever played and it is a must have if you like action games.

You could do a lot worse with $20

If they were trying to charge big bucks for this game I'd say forget it, but I'm adding my thumbs-up to all the other reviewers because it's a quality title for the price. Think of Serious Same as a graphic update to Doom. The game adds all the cool transparencies, lens flares, and other lighting effects, but it's pretty much a lot of running around in giant arenas and shooting everything that comes at you.

My only complaint is the shotgun is too slow to reload in my opinion compared to the other FPS's out there. You may find yourself using the rocket launcher more often. Don't expect much AI - they all just run at you and either blow up or start swinging. But it's a nice looking game and there's plenty of baddies to shoot down if you want to "kill" some time.

The best game since Doom.

Andrenaline, action, and a theme that is fun to play. If you were hooked on Doom, this is the shooter for you. No complicated plots or other hyper-realism killjoys.

Also, supports co-op play, unlike most games nowadays!

So much fun and a bag of chips ...

Ever dream of a shooter wher you can see were u are going? you can acully run in to a wave of enimes with mini guns and rocket lanchers and not get killed in one shot? This is just that game theres a multitude of wave after wave of enimes and all these weapons at youre disposel- there aren't all chanlging puzzles that you get ... on, and all powerful enimies that a 100 canonballs can't mach? yup, no flaws here there grphics are nearly perfect, and this was made by people from another country!

You defentilly should check it out!

This games has great graphics. Its not like Unreal Tournament Or Quake III where u just run around shooting people. This game acually has an objective. It reminds me of Doom II, with much better graphics.

No more going around in circles for hours. This is pure, fast-paced, heart racing action. Battle an infinite number of monsters at a time and when you are done killing them, there are even more to come. I consider this one of the best FPS of all time.
