Absolutely AWESOME! A must have!

Seroius sam is simply awesome, it is an absolute dominator! I had been anciously awaiting its arrival in stores, and when the day it was released finally came, I was not dissapointed! S.S.(serious sam) is the rivival of doom style action, it is amazingly intense, around every corner their is a new challenge awaiting you! With many raw-power weapons that spell out destruction for you, you can blast your way through the sleek foes that await you in the world of danger in S.S.! And that isn't all, S.S. is very challenging as well, the amount of foes that you face is incredible, from some views it might even be insane! S.S's specialty is ambush attacks, surprises pop out at you everywhere, you definitly will find yourself facing the floor plenty of times throughout this Serious game! And how much can I say about the graphics! S.S. really puts todays technology to its max with incredibly detailed inviorments focused on the Egyptian theme, jaw dropping eye candy, but dont spend too much time staring, or you will end up as part of the scenery. I could go on and on. Just look at the basics, Serious Sam is simply an awesome game! If you are a serious First person raw-shooter fan, you would be insane to miss out on this amazinfg game. WOW!

I can say only that,this game is the best entertaining game of this year.You can find lots of action,comedy and cool words.Finally i wanna say that,this game reminds to a little bit stargate.ENJOY.

Well okay, the monsters could use a bit of help. Some of them are silly. However, a few of the stronger monsters are AWESOME. Some of them are SO HUGE! Oh my Gosh... They could like step on cyber demons. (For those who played DOOM) :) This game is just good fun... not so serious, but FUN! One player mode is what I like best, I haven't had good multi-player experiences, but I think it's because of my slow modem. My recomendation is this: If you want a game that is just amusing, and fun, get this. :) (It's a little frustrating at points when monsters just teleport out of nowhere behind you and hit you really quick... but I suppose it's part of the game.)

Buy this game, Seriously.

I got this game and played it all day until I beat it. I never, ever play games for that long, so this should tell your something. Serious Sam is all about blowing away hordes of enemies. That's it. No annoying mazes, no boring puzzles, no thinking required here. Not that those things are bad, they're just not what I look for when I play a first person shooter. The graphics are great, the gameplay is always smooth, and the sound is also very well done, with catchy music to pump you up during battle. Of course, I am playing this on a brand new computer, so the smooth gameplay thing doesn't really mean much. You will need a decent PC to play this smoothly. It does get frustrating on higher difficulty settings, but almost everyone should be able to win on Tourist and Easy modes. Multiplayer is excellent (cooperative mode is a blast), and there are going to be more user created mods and maps than you can shake a stick at for this game, so don't worry about being bored once single player is done with. The ... price tag makes this a must-have game, especially for you old school FPSers out there.

Not since Doom have I played a 3D shooter that is so fast-paced. This game has no emphasis on puzzle solving...! It's probably the best action-oriented FPS you can buy. Pick up your copy NOW!

Not much to say that hasn't already been said. The game rocks, and the cheap price overides its flaws. The monsters aren't all that great, and the weapons are nothing special, but the sheer amount of enemies bearing down on you is probably even harder than the old days of Doom and Doom2. Too bad the monsters here aren't as scary as a Baron of Hell or pink demon, but hey, maybe that will change in the sequel.

If you enjoy intense action FPS games, buy this! There is NO down time in this game. you are constantly doing battle with multiple creatures, which get larger and more difficult as you move closer to the end. The AI leaves a little to be desired, but that would be my only complaint. This is a great game to play after work if you need to blow off steam and become totally absorbed in some mindless, shoot-em-up fun!

Serious Sam has all the markings of "Exhibit I" in the next round of Congressional hearings on violence in video games. It is also one of the best first person shooters to come out in a long time. Serious Sam brings back some old school Doom style carnage, and ratchets up the intensity with a game engine that can apparently handle thousands of enemies simultaneously. Graphically, Sam is no Quake III Team Arena, but the Egyptian themed levels are bright and beautiful. The character models are where Serious Sam showcases its best quality, its sense of humor. Sam is above all a funny game. You will know what I mean the first time you are attacked by a horde of suicidal, headless muscle men with bombs held aloft in each hand. As they charge directly at you, their retched screams grow louder and louder until finally, they throw themselves wildly upon you and detonate in one final act of double fisted jihadian insanity. Sounds hilarious right? Playing Sam for the first time, I realized that I was witnessing one of the most over the top, utterly inappropriate demonstrations of gratuitous violence I have seen up to this point in a video game. But a short time later, I also realized that in fact, whether intentional or not, Serious Sam is a ridiculous spoof on itself, and on the whole first person shooter genre. That alone makes the game funny (...). Sam's development team, which appeared on the scene from out of nowhere (actually from Croatia), deserves credit for going for the jugular with this game. Serious Sam has it all: single player, multiplayer, interesting weapons, great enemies, solid levels and maps, good audio, and lots of things to shoot. Oh yeah, and the story line (as if it matters)... something about aliens, something about time travel, something about saving the world. To sum it all up, buy this game and get ready to learn how to shoot while running backwards.

Fun for a few minutes

I like a challenge so I started off playing on the hard difficulty setting. The first level was fun and went by quickly. Soon however, the maps were innundated with enemies and the game became nothing more than a series of marathon strafing matches. The enemies do exactly the same thing every time, so once you learn their weakness they're very easy to beat. The redeeming factor is the overall humor of the game.

If you're looking for a complicated, rich storyline, this game is not it.
If you're looking for a first person shooter where monsters come in countless waves and all you gotta do is hold the trigger down, this game is for you.
Serious Sam has been rated by many as a mindless shooter and that's exactly what it is. Great fun.
Multiplayer cooperative matches are simply a blast.
