multiplayer

well...ive seen a preview movie as well as some screen shots all i can say is WOW! now if the multiplayer is half as good as the screenies this game will be awesome

ive done mapping and level design for soldier of fortune for almost a year now ....maybe more and i can see some wicked maps coming to the multiplayer of this game from myself and im sure a bunch of others too

This may be the best first person shooter that I have seen and played. It not only eclipses Medal of Honor, Rouge Spear, Rainbow Six, SWAT 3, Unreal Tournament, and Tribes 2, but it looks amaizing. The Single player plot may sound a little unoriginal, but the multiplayer test was sweet. I was a little disapointed with the lack of vehicle control, but I think being able to immolate your enemies with a flame-thrower, kind of balances it out.

Return to Castle Wolfestein is a fast paced, exciting, and furiously fun 1st person shooter. Most people understand what to expect, but I wasn't ready for how frightening and scary these undead people are in this castle. They jump out when your least expecting it, terrifying you and causing you to attempt to dash away, something not terribly easy in piss soaked pants.

I began like any young stud packing heat, I wasn't the least bit afraid of some ghoulies and creatures. After all, I have a large gun right? Well that had all changed within the time frame of 5 minutes. After puking on myself out of fear a few times, I found the nearest empty room and hid under whatever object I could find. I don't think the phrase 'crying like a little girl' quite conveys how frightened I was after getting lost in this hell hole. Some people say that the living dead can smell your fear, thats nonsense... they smell the poop in your pants and listen for your hysterical sobbing.

The graphics and sound in the game are great, no doubt. I'm just thankful you can't smell it as well.

I have never seen such incredible screenshots and videos of any game! Quake was good, Doom was good, but RTCW will be the game that rules all home computers all over the world! C it in the store, buy it, play it, love it!

I heard a lot of great reviews of this game and I have to say I was disappointed. If you want Quake frag fest this is your game. If you want real WWII FPS play Day of Defeat Half Life mod. No one even comes close to DOD in terms of realisim and pure enjoyment. Single player is boring after playing online.

This game has the best graphics since tribes 1&2. I love online gaming and this is the best game ever like I said it plays very well better than swat 3.

This game is simply awesome. One part X-Files, one part Indiana Jones, but all Wolfenstein. If you think you'll be stuck in a dungeon for the whole game, you're in for a surprise. Each level is better than the one before it. The graphics and effects are incredible. The weapons are numerous and varied, and your computer opponents act almost like real people. The story is engaging, and makes you want to keep playing just to find out what is going to happen next. Wolfenstein is hands-down my favorite FPS, and is heading toward being my favorite game of all time . . . at least until Jedi Outcast is released!

Years ago I played castle wolfenstien on an Apple IIe. I moved up to the cartoonish graphics years later on an Ibm Compatible pc. Now I can see the Nazis running around as if "thinking" on their own. When I shoot they run away for cover! The graphics are awesome, as well as the music sound track that keeps your blood pumping. If you like first person shooting games you have to own this one! It definetley deserves the Mature rating, the opening "movie" itself has some heads comming off!

This game will suck you in. Although the really interesting single player campaign ends after some time, the multiplayer will have you playing for months. Read the reviews. People(including myself) have played one tiny little multiplayer level and have been hooked for months! One level! It's that good! Everything that a multiplayer mode needs such as voting, spectator modes(which are POV by the way) and an intricate deployment and class system for the co-op teamplay levels. This game is totally stable too. Just be sure to find a dedicated server who gives it's system stats. Some people try and serve games on the worst computers these days...

Anyway, the Single Player is quite fun. It expands on the stories of the third reichs efforts to genetically engineer it's soldiers during World War 2. In the universe of this game, the experiments are starting to work. And you have to stop them. Watch out for zombie nazis... Both modes are tons of fun and you will be bored with this game only if you go insane or die or something.

The only gripe I have about this game is that all the Germans speak English. While I understand this is fast and action-packed gameplay, they couldve worked around it in some way. Maybe they'd talk in German and youd see subtitles? I'm not sure if the main character is supposed to understand German or not...oh nevermind. I must say though that this game is more on the arcade side of things and if you're looking for a extremely realistic WWII first person shooter, watch for the upcoming Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. But if you want both sides of the spectrum get this too.
