I have a link so you can download a video clip from last year's E3 show, showing footage of the game's 45% completion. From what I saw, the game looks VERY interesting. Instead of just "shoot-to-kill" action, it seems that this DM type game has some strategy elements in it. when was the last time you got to shoot out a bridge full of machinegunners using a stationary machine gun held down on sandbags? Also, notice most games open doors without seeing a hand open them? In the video, the game's hero, B.J., kicks a door open. Back in 1992 i had a lot of fun playing the first FPS game ever Wolfenstein 3D, It is probably the greatest and along with simcity the most important game in history, Without Wolf 3D there would be no Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem or Half-Life. Raven software is a great company i loved their Heretic - Hexen serries games and i trust them to make a worthy sequal to the great game.

Wolfenstein 3D is FPS that started everything before the time of Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, Half Life and so on. Return to Castle Wolfenstein is third installment(Wolf 3D, Spear of Destiny)of the series. If you loved Wolf 3D, you do not want to miss this one out!
Looks Good!

I've seen screenshots, reviews, and even a "Best Flame Thrower Award"(PC Gaming World) for Return to Castle Wolfenstein,I rmember playing Wolf 3-D back in the early 90's,and all I can say is if this game is anything like the last(with better graphics)than the Shooter World is in for a big treat!I have a feeling I will be in front of the computer more hours than I was on Diablo II(lots and lots of hours)...If you are a Shooter game fan,BUY THIS!

I have never seen such incredible screenshots and videos of any game! Quake was good, Doom was good, but RTCW will be the game that rules all home computers all over the world! C it in the store, buy it, play it, love it!

I, like a lot of people, have played the original Wolfenstein over and over again. Ten years later, Activision is creating a sequal (and it's about time!)
I have seen the screen shots for this game, and they look spectacular. Return uses the venerable Quake III engine (which has powered several other very good games) to create some of the most emersive enviornments I've ever seen.
I also know that Activision is a good company, and that in general they release quality products. Apperantly, I am not the only person to think this, either. Both PC Gamer and PC Gaming World have expressed high hopes for this game.
One point, in general, I would like to make: How can reviewers bash something they have not and could not have played yet? This game isn't due out for another two months.
Amazing, even from a beta demo!

Just having clocked a few hours playing with the multiplayer beta demo, I'm very impressed with what Return to Castle Wolfenstein (RTCW) provides and has the potential to provide once it goes gold. The Quake III Arena graphics engine works beautifully to render gritty WWII battlegrounds, and the gameplay balances realism (limited ammo, sniper scope drift - very nice touch!, etc.) with playability (although compared to titles like Operation Flashpoint, RTCW is definitely an arcade-like experience). I suspect the final product will be a cross between Half-Life meets Medal of Honor in the single player mode, and Half-Life: Counter-Strike meets Medal of Honor in multiplayer. And then Medal of Honor: Allied Assult will come out and put the WWII shooter crown in question, but until then, RTCW has my vote. I'd suppose either RTCW or Allied Assault (or both!) would bundle nicely with the DVD set of 'Band of Brothers' for the flag-waving gamer in your family for Xmas! Lock and load!!!

I have tried other multiplayer games before and dont like them. To much "fragging" going on. But RTCW (Return To Castle Wolfenstein) is one awesome game. You have to work as a team to reach your goal. I give it 2 thumbs and 2 toes up!! Wahoooooo.
You wont regret it!
