Half-Life was good, but this is better.

Although Half-Life was a brilliant game. It had a very good storyline and it's multiply, especially team-fortress was the best online (besides Tribes, which i also recommend). What makes Wolfenstein better? The story line is a tad lame, but it sticks to its original, Spears of Destiny in regards to character background. And the level design and AI make it standout. The best feature however is the multiplayer. I recommend playing the beach level to anyone who wants to relive the strike on normandy, I have played this level so many times that i couldnt even give an estimated value, but it'd be months. So overall the best feature is the multiplayer, which is fast paced, and team oriented. Buy it... BUY IT NOW!

Whan I first recieved Return to castle wolfenstein, I had already heard about it from friends, and needless to say was excited. And the game delivered, extraordinarily so. The single player campaign is great, with smooth graphics, great gameplay, and incredible AI. My only complaint was that the multiplayer was a bit dry, but hey, cant complain too much. Definitly worth your money and the 5 stars.

Excellent Game if you into First Perosn shooters! I was happy to have a semi realiztic game to play with believable weapons and targets that aren't monsters or super human. This game delievers and the german soldiers actually have some intelligence, they will come after you. The only drawback is in the catacombs with the paranormal zombies and whatnot but in fitting with the story line it is OK. The zombies only last for a couple scenes. Overall, it is a great game with realiztic weapons from World War II. Machine guns, long range rifles, scopes, hand gernades, flame thrower, etc. - worth the purchase.

(...)This is a great game. Graphics are top-notch, weapons are cool, sound is good, enemies are great looking, and multiplayer is the best thing about it (it's REALLY fun). Sure, the storyline may be a little cornny, there isn't a lot of blood/gore, the nazi's don't scream out at you in German, and the game takes a lot of ideas off others, but so what! If you can look past all that (and ignore all those comments), it's actually a good game. They may even fix some of these things in the future with a patch. Give this game a try. If you don't really liked the single player mode, you will like the multiplayer. Give it try!
Love it, but my Win. XP won't allow me to play

I downloaded some information for my Nivida video card and was able to play the game which is AWESOME! But I had to delete the download because it wasn't sighned or incompatable which doesn't make sense because the game worked fine. If you have a chance to play Castle F.W. get it. It is well worth it. More of a program type of game that keeps you going all night.
Average single player but the multiplayer makes up for it

I got a copy of RTCW (Return to castle Wolfenstien) a few months ago and the single player was pretty cool at first then it was impossable with the Zombies. The Muliplayer makes up for the whole game. One of the best muliplayer ever. It really puts teamwork together. Like the soldier is able to use and of the mulitplayer weapons. The Medic are the only ones who can heal units. You really need then when is only limited lives. Engeniers are the only ones that can plant exploseives, which are used in many multiplayer missions. and Luetenits are the only ones who can give out extra ammo and areal stikes. If u want a great muliplayer game get this game.
A MUST HAVE FOR FPS FANS!!!

I have been a huge Wolfenstien fan since its beginning as a DOS game about 10 years ago. This game is everything you could possibely want in a first person shooter. The graphics are amazing(and my computer is only so-so) and the storyline is intriguing. This game is incredibely fun and delightfully violent. You travel all over Europe during WW2, brandishing 9 fun -to-use weapons. The game is based on Hitler's obsession with the occult, and the surprises in this game are really great(stay away from statues.) I have to say that this is the best game I have ever played for the PC! Move over Half-life, this game is hands down the ebst game I've ever played!
This game was voted the best of 2001 and rightfully so!
Great game, but way too short.

This is one of the best fps games I have played in a while, no halflife, but a great game none the less. I find it hard to believe that it is the Quake III engine, cause Quake III, although a pretty good game, never looked anywhere close to as good as this game does. Anyway, my only gripe on the game is that it is very short as compared to most fps. Seems the good games are always that way. Even Halflife, the best fps ever, has a very short SP game to it. I just wished there had been more to it than there was, but other than that I loved RTCW. I hope ID puts out more like it.
Probably the best multiplayer game - ever!

When you enter RTCW multiplayer for the first time, most people seem to play it like it was a first person shooter. Well it is - but it isn't...RTCW is the ultimate "only team efforts will prevail" game to date. You must play your role as either medic, lieutenant, engineer or soldier. It is utterly important that the team members communicate and support each other. Keep an eye on the roster to change your role if the team is ill-balanced, even a relatively new player can contribute in this game if they remember to stick to their teammates. And I guarantee you, the team with the best teamwork always win. No exception.
There are 3 different mods: Objectivebased MP, Objective base Stopwatch and CTF mod Check Point. The latter being the least interesting as people tend to run along on their own and forget about the team.
So how about graphics and performance? Simply brilliant, but you will have to have a fairly beefed up machine to have RTCW running really smoothly. I recommend at least 256 mb of RAM, a P3 800 mhz processor and a 32 mb videocard.
And the SP portion of the game? A little short perhaps, but the environments and graphics are fantastic.
Finally, I can only conclude that if there is one game you should buy the coming year; Let it be RTCW! It will not disappoint you...
