Since Beta 1, they have solved most of the annoying problems, and added new annoying problems. The actual game play is much better now, with other connections not interrupting your own, and I like the axis vs. allies, and assortment of men that can be played. This is only slightly more fun than Quake III as a multiplayer game. Verdict, fun at first, but after a couple of weeks it just becomes another 3D shoot-em up.

Great game!

Highly original- A great game- Honestly, the first MP Demo Test sorta sucked- It was really slow, the players all jerked around, and it was pretty buggy...
The newest MP Test is so much better- and well on its way to the final version, I'm sure- MUCH better framerates, ping, and no jerkiness anymore- The game's Objective based "capture the flag" MP mode works great- Really intuitive team work needed...

I love it!

Very Good, could have been a lot more satisfying

Remembering the original Castle Wolfenstein on my Commodore 64 in the 80's and how original, difficult and cool it was back then. The level of anticipation I had to play this one was very high. And it lives up to the anticipation, with a few criticisms.

Gameplay is excellent, if not repetitive, graphics are outstanding, without the open environment of a GTA. As result, the game is very linear with only one path to take to get you from one level to the next. Not that this type of game is bad, it is just very objective focused with little to explore other than achieving the objective at hand.

The biggest disappointment however, was the final scene, as I was able to beat the game on only my second try. It was too easy and not very satisfying. You go through a hundred or so levels to get to the climax where you're expecting a monster so hideous, that it will literally take everything you have and multiple attempts to defeat, but alas, the weapons in the game were too overpowering even for something as gruesome as Heinrich.

Very good, but too much effort for relatively easy payoff.

Dissapointing.

This game is not all it was tied up to be. The screenshots and hype about this game before it came made it look a lot better than it actually is. The main dissapointment in this game is its lackluster single player missions. I mean, it started off well, as you blew away nazis with you sub machine gun or leuger pistol, and it's cool how they set up the castle to make you feel like youj're really in World war 2, with pictures of Hitler in nearly every room. But after the third level, the game gets boring, as you enter a grave and spend nearly two hours battling these skull people and redead throw skulls at you, and remiscents of mutilated nazis are found on the floor, which really gets boring after about twenty minutes. And if single player was fun anyways, it would be too short to have any real lasting appeal.
If you want a true World War two epic game, stick with medal of Honor: Allied Assault, because both its single player and multiplayer modes are a lot more impressive than Wolfenstein's.

Excellent game. Outstanding Multi-Player game

I borrrowed the game from a friend and installed it on my computer (p3 866 mHz, GF2 64mb, 256 mb ram) and at first had no trouble playing it. I was kind of impressed by the whole thing at first, but probably maily because it was the first shooter i played in about 1 year...
Then it happened: i tried to pause the game and my computer froze. first time in the game. from then on, every time i stopped moving for about 1 minute, the game froze. Quite annoying, but i can live with it...
But when i continued into the tomb, 2nd objective or something, i noticed the zombies and skeletons. After i emptied about 100 rounds at the BULLETPROOF shields of the skeletons (from an age when bulletproof armour didnt exist) i got fed up with the whole thing and decided i didnt like the whole skeleton, zombie, freaky stuff. Not my kind of thing. The next thing i did was press the uninstall button...
I guess i should wait for medal of honour, since that should be great...

BEST GAME EVER

I DONT CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS.....This is the best game out there....graphics are awsome..multiplayer is awsome..and you can ALSO download multiplayer maps going to upgrades.....you can even make custom maps and share them on the NET......don't be fooled...THIS IS THE ULTIMATE GAME...WOW!!!

Paying for a mod

It's pretty sad that anyone would actually pay for this game. Yeah, it MIGHT have a good single player game. The multiplayer so far, is sorta lame. Just a rip off from CTF basically.
And the game itself is only a damned MOD. The graphics aren't impressive at all, not compared to others FPS that are out right now.
And the flame thrower is pathetic. Check out the Unreal 2 one. Much more realistic and impressive.
I'd just save my money for Unreal 2, or another game, which uses a modern engine, not a mod for an old engine which was only half way decent to begin with.

Kinda like a can of Pringles

Addictive to say the least. This game's greatest feature is the mutliplayer missions, but not by far the only plus. I was a Quake3 player thru most of college, but now I'm afraid I might lose my job if I don't throw this one away.

Return was based on the Quake3 engine. The textures and graphics have been improved immensly. The feel for the game is a dark WW2-, crawling thru the dark passages and mud-, bullets flying over head-style feel, exactly what the developers were aiming for. The realistic textures make you want to reach out and feel the cold walls and brush the mud off your pants as you get up.

The only Con I see so far is that the net coding still seems a little shaky compared to other FPS games. Of Quake3's faults, that was the biggest one and it hasn't seemed to improve much. This means that when you get lag, you will notice people seem to teleport and you will dance around in directions that you didn't want to go. If you have a DSL or Cable, I'd say you don't have to worry.

All in all, this game is definitively worth a hundred hours of gameplay in my book.
