How much per month and do u get a free tiral when u buy it?

Buyers be REAL Careful. You MUST have a NVidia GEForce card or an ATI Radeon 9000 card for the game to work at all! NO Other video configurations will work. Square Enix only programmed the PC version to run on this limited set of hardward. The game will stop and give the error that the hardware is not supported if you try to run using a different video. There is NO workaround. Note that you cannot install an NVidia or ATI card without an AGP slot which is only provided on the more expensive computers.

Gameplay on any but the most expensive, fast, computer is SLOW and cumbersome. The sound breaks up and the keyboard does NOT react quickly which is what is needed when you are fighting. This was on a Pentium 4, 1.5 GHz system with and NVidia GEForce II card.

The game does run OK on a 2.5 GHz machine with a GEFOrce 4 card. I wouldn't purchase the game if you own anything less.

I would NOT recommend this PC version of the game.

This game definitely has some good points, with a cohesive story line, good character development system and decent quests. Where it falls down is technically. The UI is cumbersome, the graphics are last generation and the patching mechanism (how online games get updates) is hit or miss.

Will provide hours of entertainment if you can get past the weak spots.

I'm sorry to say that this is the worst Final Fantasy to date! I played for a month and the whole thing was basically just about running around and leveling up. Not really any kind of storyline to follow, very hard to get into since the instructions don't give you any clue as to where to go and how to get started. Not to mention you have to pay $12.00 a month to play such a boring game! I recommend you spend your money on Final Fantasy X-2 instead!

If you have never played an online game before, this is the game for you. Also, I would recommend this for the young gamer, pre-teen/early teen if your a parent that is concerned about 'gore' or other player interaction being too 'blue.'

This is a import from Japan. the game was only sold in the U.S. after being very successful in it's home country. If you have ever played Final fantasy on the console, you'll enjoy a richer, but familar experience, when playing FFXI. With an in-game chat translator, I have played with quite a few non-english speaking players, a very cool experience.

The character growth is very FF, where you have to make certain minimum level in base classes, and finish a quest or two, before being allowed to progress to other, more advanced classes. The mission system is good but not great. Some tasks/quests being repeatable and others being once only. The graphics are solid and very rich. finding a group to hunt with is never a problem with a world-wide gaming population.

When you get this game you actually get a 2nd game, not unlike the card game War- although this game is to War, as Blackjack is to playing the Craps Table. Fun and always good for a 10 to 20 minutes of play.

This game by far is very very good. Everyone who says that this game sucks past two weeks, is either wrong or doesnt have good taste for MMORPG's (Mass Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games)
I do admit that this game after awhile does get old from fighting monsters but instead of fighting monsters, you can fish, cook, make stuff, its great! There is so many things to do! WHoever said that all the monsters are the same, have not explored all of Vana D'iel. You get to embarke on a Journey to San d'Oria,Windurst,Bastok,Jueno and so much more! So many different monsters: Dragons, Rabbits, Tunnel Worms, Goblins, Orcs, Elementals, oh and so much more (i dont even know what they are called!) But to my conclusion this game is great. Only but it on Computer. I have played a Beta on Ps2and it is horrible: The Graphics, The Price, The money you must spend!
THis is what i reccomend for your computer if you want to play FFXi and other games with a great Satisfication:
1. buy a E-Geforce4 MX440 64mb DDR with VGA/S-video out Graphics card for 80 bucks.
2. 526mb RAM
3.A airflow controller for PC.

Buy these items and in total you spend 200 bucks (yes yes double the price of FFXI for PS2)
But by doing this you have advanced your computer and the graphics card is very good (very cheap too)and now you can buy any computer game and install it and its AWESOME!!! (BUY HALF LIFE2 and World of Warcraft)

This game doesn't compare to World of Warcraft. Final Fantasy should never have gone online because it ruins the whole series. FFX2 was bad enough...

Be a sport and switch over to WoW and see what a MMORPG is really made of.

ive seen the website. ive read every last T and I. ive read these reveiws... ok not really. rating: This game ROCKS! but before you buy it, make sure your computer has the right parts, or youll get a bunch of slow moving blocks (like playing starcraft online).

I don't know what to think of this game yet, I just ordered it, I've read many reviews, some say it sucks, others say it's great. I don't have a super computer, so I hope that it all runs fine for me, I'm sure it is a great game, I love all the other final fantasies, and it is only natural for it to expand to the internet. All and all, I hope it is worth the money, if it turns out to be a dissapointment, I know that I will never buy another final fantasy that is online again.
