This game is cheap on here. I bought this game from Walmart for 9.99. It was kinda easy though. It took me a while to finish this game. I did however like this more than the regular MONOPOLY.

The software was good.. however it did not come in its original packaging. It would have been nice for me to know that. Anyway overall I think it was a good buy
Good idea badly implemented

the gameplay was alright, but all it allows you to do is certain scenarios. the only option for free game play is after you beat the scenarios, and even then there are no other players to compete against, it's just you.
I love this game

My husband purchased this game for me six years ago, and it was one of the first PC video games I had played that was more involved than the ones that come pre-installed on any version of Windows. I found the game easy to navigate with a simple layout (unlike some other "Tycoon" games I've tried), and it worked great on both Windows 2000 and XP. In fact, it's what helped me keep my sanity while I was on bed rest while pregnant, as time seems to fly when you're playing this game.
It's been several years since then and I still enjoy playing it from time to time, but I REALLY wish there were more scenarios or an expansion pack to go with it. It seems like they could have easily made many more, but didn't. Go figure?? Anyways, now that I have Windows Vista, the only way to get it to play is to set the properties to play with Windows XP SP2 compatibility and turn off the music on the game configuration. Like another reviewer said, the music is part of what makes it fun, so I have to say that on Windows Vista, this game would only get two stars.
Bottom line: If you want a simple (yet easy to navigate) and possibly addicting game this is a good one; and at five bucks, the price is great. Just don't get it if you have Windows Vista.

It would be a much better game if 2 copies were purchased to play head-2-head.
The computer players are way too easy to learn and beat, and to play online multiplayer you have to sign up with a pricey monthly service (considering the game date they may not even offer it anymore).
It's really not much like monopoly, either.
If you're looking for a monopoly game or a good stand alone game, keep looking. But if you have a home network it's not a bad game if you buy 2 copies and have some competition at home. I can see why it flopped on the retail rack.
If ur into tactics or sims, this is great

With a $4.99 bargain bin price, the amount of stuff to do and the fun time this game provides, it's worth the 5 star rating.

The game took lots of manipulation to be able to play. The first couple of times the game locked up my computer and i had to restart. The audio is completely inop. the CD skips quite a bit. I am disappointed with this seller.
Fun and captivating, but short lived.

I am a fan of most Monopoly games, and had played this originally thru the Real Player Real Arcade player. I found it here in a combo pack with Zoo Tycoon and because of the low price figured it was worth it. I really enjoy the gameplay as it's fast paced and simple, and the competitive aspects are good, too. I like the progression of music, cars, and buildings you can create as time progresses, but do wish there were more options, still. The only bad thing to say is that the game is a bit short if you play pretty heavy. After finishing, you can of course go back and play on higher difficulty levels and play freeform games to get some more play out of it. All in all, totally worth the buy, and a great way to spend a lazy, rainy day.
Too easy to beat.

Monopoly Tycoon is a continuation of the other Tycoon games. However, the levels are too easy to beat. The time clock on the game is too fast. An hour in game time takes just 30 seconds. A day is over in less than five minutes. On each level, you have to start over from scratch. You lose all of the property you bought and developed on the previous level. The best thing I can say about it is that I didn't pay too much money for it. I would recommend you find a free download and play it and save your money.
