In my opinion I think that this game has lived up to its hype. The graphics are awesome and even though my PC suffers because I don't have a top of the line one, I can still enjoy the game as much as anyone else. The 'Bullet Time' is especially cool. I think it is what pulls it away from other games of its genre. You can do anything that characters in the movie can do. The controls take a little getting used to because some people are used to playing games like Counter-Strike and Half-Life, but with a little practice, the controls are mastered. Gameplay is great and along with awesome graphics, this game rocks.
A fun time but the graphics aren't spectacular...

I have played the game a while now. So far the story has been engaging. It probably stems from a close game-productiong watch by the Wachowski brothers. So far it seems that most of the character's voices are the ACTUAL actors voices. The game story correlates well with the movie (which I also recommend seeing...like I need to tell anyone reading this that =).
I read one review saying the interface was klunky but I would disagree. It is pretty straightforward. It does take a bit of getting-used-to especially working in "focus/bullettime mode" but it doesn't take long to figure it out.
Oh and whatever reviewer said that "enter the matrix" stole bullet-time from Max Payne. I hate to smash a time-line over your head but try the fact that Max Payne ripped-off the idea of bullet time from the first Matrix FILM. I don't think it is illegal to put Matrix invented fighting style in the official Matrix game. Perhaps it is Max Payne (a great game by the way...which I also recommend playing) that should pay some appreciation to the Matrix.
That said, the graphics are not anything remarkable. The game does have a decent look and feel to it, but compared to some of the E3 footage of Half-Life 2 and Doom 3, it pales in comparison. Although, Enter the Matrix does run well on my P4 1.8GHz 512MB SDRAM + GeForce 4 TI 4200 128MB comp w/ 2X AA and 2X aniso. .... So if you don't have the GREATEST computer ever and are interested in a fun game I recommend it. Plus if you need a dose of morally reprehensible gaming......
Essential Part Of the _The Matrix_ Experience

This is a very good game. This is an *excellent* game if you are a fan of _The Matrix_.
I saw _The Matrix_ twice in the theater. I own the DVD and have watched it at least ten times. I also own _The Matrix Revisted_ and have watched it three times.
I went to the movie on May 15th. I loved it. (BTW, all of the negative or less than positive reviews of Matrix Reloaded I've seen have been nit-picks.)
I came out of the movie, bought this game, and promptly came home and began playing it...This is a great game...
Most of the negative reviews of this game have focused on the buttons you have to press during combat. It seems most reviewers wish you had to press more buttons to kick... I think they play too many games and/or have too much free time to learn complex combo-moves. Just punching and kicking and jumping in this game has great effect and looks very cool.
The controls are perfect for people who don't play first-person shooters compulsively (maybe compulisive FPS players like it too, I don't know). There is actually a plot. The video looks great. It fills in holes in the movie and contributes to the story line.
I haven't finished the games as both players yet (I started with Ghost and just started Niobe) but it has been an excellent game so far and I'm happy to have spent hard earned dollars on it.
Awesome!!!!

This has to be the best video game ever made. Everything about this game is perfect. It is amazing how you can go into bullet mode and dodge bullets, and the graphics are as good as there can be. Hands down, Atari has produced the best game ever made in our society
This game should have never seen the light of day.

This is one of THE worst games ever. The graphics are terrible, the controls are worse, audio can't be any more pathetic. I bought this the day it came out. It was THE biggest waste of 50 bucks ever! Many of the levels are poorly designed, and the proctection missions become impossible at times. The animation is terrible. The FMV's couldn't get any worse. Do not buy this game.
Cool stunts

If you have the graphic card to support this game...it's worth playing! Using the "matrix focus" to kick sweep an opponent, jump great distances, or to run on walls was just too fun! I didn't care for the female kissing female cut scene....seeing Will Smith's wife kissing the french lady from BraveHeart was vomiting and senseless. I thought the game could have been longer, so maybe there will be an extension/add-on version soon.
STINKS WORSE THAN AN ELEPHANTS TOILET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe how many people say this is a bad game! This game rocks!!! The graphics exceed, or are at least up to par with, all other third and first person shooters out there. The fight moves one can do in the Focus Mode are simply amazing. Yes, the storylines may seem linear, but the game was written with a close-ended script, as in it was meant to fit in with the Matrix movies. If the storylines were open-ended, then each player of the game would get a different story, which would defeat a part of the game's purpose. Which was to expand the overall Matrix story, and add another dimension to the Matrix experience. If you are having trouble with the game looking good, get a new graphics card. In this area is one of my only two complaints. There is, or there was at the time of release, only a very limited number of graphics cards that Enter the Marix would run on. I had to upgrade my graphics card, at $90.00, in order to play this game. But it was well worth it, for now I can play many games I couldn't before, and all the games I already owned now look a whole lot better. My only other comaplaint is the enourmous complexity, and overall how hard, the hacking portion of the game is (in the hacking portion of the game, you attempt to hack into the Matrix itself). I am going to have to download a guide from online in order to access all the little 'secrets' available through the hacking portion of the game. But other than these two things, this game is incredible. With the drop in price from its original $49.99 opening price to its current, much lower, price, if you have the right graphics card, or don't mind spending a little moo-lah ($) on an updrade, BUY THIS GAME. You won't regret it.
good effort, bad result

this game had a lot of potential. i was ravenous as i tore open the packaging, only to find out that i had spent 50$ on a subpar game. while at first the martial arts and gunplay was exciting and hooked me, it quickly got repetitive and boring. how many times can u watch the same animations over and over before it gets dull? Plus, there are glitches aplenty. deleted games and hours spent stuck in walls are rampant. i give it a 2 because of the first few hours and because of the real cinematics incorporated into the game.
