The most expensive coaster I've ever bought

Well, the game came out around the same time as Tribes 2 and Tribes 2 has tons of patches out already and so far Black and White has none. This game was the most rushed hunk of junk I've ever played. Save your money and buy Extreme Paintbrawl if you want something that doesn't work.

I have been playing this game ever scince i bought it in April and i find it a good pick. The graphics are good and the way the story plays out keeps me wondering what will happen next. Although it takes awhile for the creatures to grow i cant wait to see what miracles he can learn and which ones are coming.

This game became an obsession right out of the box, for me. I bought the Prima Guide along with it, because I thought I might need some help along the way. However, I didn't have to consult the guide (or the manual) immediately, because this is playable right out of the package, with great tutorials that allow you to play and learn at the same time. I can tell it will take some time to get the hang of it, but I will definitely keep coming back to it. The open-ended gameplay option makes for hours of and hours of play I recommend it for anyone who is into sims or RPGs.

It certainly gets my votes for it. As some have said prepare to become a social outcast (if you are already not, good job) as this game will dominate your life for the rest of this, and maybe next year.

If you like simulation,rpg and strat games, this is ur game. It has the best AI, graphics of any other game I have ever played in my 30 years as a gamer. Why am i wasting time writing this review, I must return to the game!

Like many others, I bought into the hype when this game was released and bought it at full price. Easily the worst gaming-related purchase I have made. Endless micro-management of your worshipers, clunky and awkward controls, and boring missions and objectives. Stay far away from this waste of money and time.

Has a nasty habit of DELETING YOUR GAME!!!

I have been playing Black & White off and on for about two years. I'll start playing about three or four months after I stopped and wonder why I didn't finish it. Simple. Its impossible to beat. Why? IT DELETES YOUR GAME! I have played this on three different computers and every time this happens. It has happened to my friends too. This would be a great game if this didn't happen. Don't waste your money or time on this game. Its not worth it at all.

If you do not buy this game you are defiantely missing out! It is on my TOP 3 PC Game list along with "Unreal Tournament" and "Diablo 2." The graphics are amazing, the sound and music goes along GREAT with the gameplay. The instructions are easy to understand and most of all the Lasting Appeal is VERY VERY HIGH! I can't see myself anytime soon getting bored of this game! The only reason I stopped is because I'm very tired and have school in the morning, otherwise I could play this game forever! So stop reading this review and go out and BUY THIS GAME!

Simply put, did you ever consider the fact that perhaps the reason this game is the way it is (ie. pretty intensive, lotsa' maintenence etc.) was intentional?
Now you know how god feels while watching us live out our mundane, monotonous lives...doomed to make the same mistakes over and over again.
This game is nothing short of divine intervention!

Black & White in theory sounds like a really fun game and for some I guess it is. I found the game so tedius, repititious and devoid of fun that I never even bothered to finish the first level. The idea of the creature is interesting and the AI on it is impressive but that in itself could not hold the game together. The controls are awful. It is interesting that the developers spent so much time on the "feel" of the game and making it so it was like no other that it seems that they didn't stop to think at the cumbersomeness an impracticality of the vast array of controls. Another factor to this game is that if you are going to stick it out and play the entire thing you will definately need time for it takes for what seems an eternity to complete some of the tasks of the game. All in all, this game was not for me but I could see the ultimate attraction and some people who are willing to stick it out might enjoy it.
