This is a challenging game

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 7 / 10

My brother mainly plays this game, but without me, he couldn't have gotten half as far. At the beginning of this game, it is very easy, but because of your low hearts, every little hit sends you closer to dying. Then after you beat the "Light world", the "Dark World" is ever more challenging. You have to experement and read the programmer's hints. All in all, this game is definately worthwhile to buy and play (If you have Super Nintendo). Only for those who like adventure and logic.

This game was one of the best! It's very fast!

This game is probably the best in the Zelda series! It has a huge world, many characters and a huge, huge list of items. Overall, this is probably one of the best games I have ever played. When you are running around the overworld, there are plenty of enemies to fight. If you like Zelda games, this is a must!

This game is so cool. It's a really cool RPG. It's about a young boy who one night has a wierd dream where the princess is telling him to go to the palace,go to the dungeon and rescue her. The person who put her there was the power hungry GanonDorf who killed her father and is going to send her into anouther dimension called The Dark World (Formally the golden land where the Triforce was.). The young boy's mission is to save the princess Zelda, take the Triforce from the evil GanonDorf and restore peace to the Kingdom of Hyrule.

Great Game!

This was my first Zelda game. And the reason I bought a nintendo 64 machine and Zelda Ocarina of time. And look forward to The Legend of Zelda :Mask of Mujula to come out in fall. My whole family loves this game. Very young to very old. It is another Zelda success. You never get bored with it. You always discover something new. Great graphics, easy to manuver. Very challenging. As you play a story unfolds and you are a part of it. No Zelda collection is complete without this one. I was amazed at what they could do with a super nintendo game. Some of the bosses look so real. This one got me hooked on Zelda. Well worth buying.

THE BEST GAME EVER

The Legend of Zelda is the best game ever made, period. I could care less for the past Zelda games (including the one for the 64) and I hate being stuck on a level that takes me two years to beat (It has been longer than two years for me to beat a level on the gameboy version) and this game doesn't have that problem. Yes some of the levels did take weeks or even months to beat but that is how RPG's are. This game has great controls, sweet (but dated) graphics, and a simple but involving story.

The Legend Lives On

This is perhaps the greast game in the entire line of games in the Legend of Zelda franchise. It may not be up to the graphical standards of its sequels Ocarnia of Time and Majora's Mask, but it stands the test of time. This was the first Zelda game and RPG I had ever had the pleasure of playing. Quite honestly, this is a classic. It's a rousing adventure that once you think is completed has actually just begun. Unlike the Zelda games that came after, A Link to the Past is challenging enough to keep you on your toes without forcing you to rely on a cheat book. I completed the game and missed only one item (it was hidden extremely well). If you have never played a Zelda game before and you're wondering what the big deal is, I suggest you find a copy of this game and get ready for an adventure that rivals Final Fantasy VI.

Link's Awakening For SNES

I own this game for my Super Nintendo, and it's pretty cool. Although, it's not cool enough to get a 5 star rating from me. I've beat it a few times. It has a cool story structure, but it could have better items. When you beat a dungeon, you get a pendant, instead of an Essance, Mask, or Medallian. There are three dungeons in all. You can go between the real world and the dark realm to advance in your journey! That's pretty cool. It's up to you whether you want to buy it or not! See ya!

Why do graphics matter?

This is a great game, and I don't understand why people complain about it! But know that it is because of GRAPHICS! Why is that so important?! It doesn't make a game any more fun, does it? Graphics are just a nice addition to games that are already good! So what if i's not 3D?! I've played plenty of terrible 3D games! Castlevania 64 for example! I'm not saying that graphics are bad! In fact, I like good graphics! It's just not the first thing I look for in a game! Secondly, it's a Super-Nintendo game, what do you expect?! It may not have super graphics, but it's a great game. It's really fun. Okay, I'll stop ranting now.

My favorite all-time game, hands down.

First off, I've played and beaten Ocarina Of Time, Majora's Mask, Link's Awakening and both Oracles games. This is the best out of all of them by far. In agreement with one reviewer, graphics are not important and I think this game is light years ahead of any "next genration" RPG or adventure. The story is amazing, the characters are cool and a little humorous, and the games difficulty is just frantic and hard enough to challege without frustrating you too much. If you don't have this game, go to a pawn shop because until you've played this, you can't consider yourself a true gamer.

Since the old school days- True fans only!

Those of us that have been with Link since the beginning can recognize what a brilliant game this is. Comparing the Legend of Zelda with Final Fantasy is insane. Link has been around since the blurred techno-color graphics of the original NES. "The Legend of Zelda" has become somewhat of a household name- whether you've played it or not, you've surely heard of it. And we, the proud and true fans of the Zelda series, those of us that sat on our ... for hours on end when that first game came out, glued to the screen of our now out of date televisions, drooled when SNES came out with its latest edition, morphed to expand the ever evolving storyline for the new platform. Even compared to the N64 OoT and MM, this game shines above the rest. The Legend of Zelda was the defining moment in the emerging realm of RPG's for standalone platforms- all the others, including Final Fantasy merely wafted in the shadows, followed, duplicated, and mutated until they were different and fully grown to survive on their own. Tride and true roleplayers aren't there for the graphics. They're there for the story, the history, and the game's ability to suck you in. I've found no other roleplaying game that comes close to this one.

Those of us that have been there since the beginning bow down our heads in modest recognition. Zelda Rules.
