This game is probably the best in the Zelda series! It has a huge world, many characters and a huge, huge list of items. Overall, this is probably one of the best games I have ever played. When you are running around the overworld, there are plenty of enemies to fight. If you like Zelda games, this is a must!

There for the next generation....

I don't own the SNES, but a friend does, and I've played it. I havn't been gaming since the beginning of the series, but I was captivated by Ocarina of Time, and have been trying to track down the other Zelda games and try them out for history's sake and to find out the storyline. So the graphics are pathetic, compared to the N64. But I've seen the graphics of the NES, and I can tell that the SNES was as big a leap from NES as N64 is from its predecessor. But to the point. This game was really fun-it equaled up to , possibly even bested, some of the other Z games. So, I rate it 5 stars. ZELDA FOREVER!!!

An Unforgettable Adventure!

This a great game for you, who likes to solve medium problems, loves to talk with interesting creatures and beat evil lurks! This Zelda was one of the first adventure/role games I played trough. It lasted a long time until I finally met Ganon himself and I got the Trio force back. I have many reasons to recommand this fantastic game.1. Imagine yourself sleeping in your own house in rainy night... Suddenly, you hear your uncle's voice that wants you to come King's castle because some evil enemies are there. You wake up and dress your clothes. It's time to find out what is going on. Later, you find your uncle who is just dying because a bad Afgahnim strikes him deadly. He gives you his sword and hopes that you can beat the evil Afgahnim. And this little story was only beginning. I think that Zelda's storywriters have an unbelievable imagination! 2. Music makes this game enjoyable and comfortable to play because it sounds so good. Especially, the melody of the castle boss has written so exciting that you really make fighting a fine situation. 3. Game characters and creatures are made with good taste and personal way. You can meet Zora's water human, centauries, pig soldiers, witches, crystal maidens, talking woods and so on 4. Problem solving is a major challenge. This is not game that last only few hours because there so many difficult problems to solve. Use you brain and try to find answers without guidelines. Don't get angry if you don't find to answer immediately. Ask your role-play friends to help because they will advice you. 5. Items you collect are variable. Bow, hook shoot, shovel, bombs Are very valuable to you if you want to survive all enemies, castles and challenges. If you play this classic game, you'll know, why this one of the best games in the world Entertainment is guaranteed

I've owned this game for several years and it's awesome. Especially for when it was made. All the levels are challenging and there are plenty of them. I am also pleased that this game isn't anywhere near as simple as N64 games(Which usually take me like 3 days to master when I first get them). I wouldn't suggest this game to those of you who don't enjoy actually having to use your brain in a game to beat it. The only problem is that after you've completed the game, its very, very easy to play new files and get them done in no time.Excellent game. Buy it now.

A Link to the Past: Games don't get better than this!

This is, by far, the best adventure-based video game of all time. Sure, the graphics aren't 3-dimensional, but the game was released for Super Nintendo twelve years ago! What do you expect? The plot is as follows (don't worry, I won't spoil everything):
Princess Zelda is trapped somewhere in a deep dungeon, and talks to a young boy named Link through his dreams. She is asking him for help...But where is she? Link's uncle rushes out into the stormy night and to Hyrule Castle, and Link secretly follows, but only to find his uncle lying on the ground in the castle! This is only the beginning of the adventure...
In this game, there's action, adventure, and awesome revelations! Collect cool equipment such as the legendary Master Sword, meet new friends and enemies along the way,and even find a sinister, parallel world...
Please don't miss out on this game!

Still holds the title of being one of the greatest games

The Legend of Zelda- A Link to the Past...a brand new Zelda adventure released in 1992. After the dissapointment of Zelda II Shigeru Myamoto (game creator) decided to use the same style that the original Legend of Zelda had, an over the top view action adventure game. The game had a lot of hype and when it came out it certainly lived up to it.

Story:
Lets start with the story of the game. Quite frankly, it's great. One of the best fantasy stories out there and maybe the best story of all Zelda games. Link is living with his Uncle in a small house near Hyrule Castle. On a dark stormy night he gets a strange dream from girl telling him to come to Hyrule Castle and rescue her. His uncle suddenly leaves the house telling Link that he has some business to take care of. You head to Hyrule Castle and you find your uncle lying dead in an underground passage. He tells you that you must rescue the Princess Zelda and that it is his destiny. He gives Link his sword and shield and you head to the castle. After you enter and head to the basement you find the princess in a jail cell. You rescue her and she tells you about a secret passage that leads you to a sanctuary. You take it and when you get to the sanctuary Zelda tells Link she wants to stay in the sanctuary to be safe because the Hylian guards are after her. The priest of the sanctuary agrees to watching over her and Zelda tells Link to find an ancient elder named Sarashala. Linl leaves the sanctuary and embarks on his very long epic quest.

Graphics:
Amazing graphics, clear and detailed. The areas of Hyrule are colorful and beautiful. Each area looks different from one another. This brings me to the size of the game. It is HUGE. Two massive worlds awaiting to be explored in the game, you gotta love it. The game has warps once you get to a certain part of the game so you don't have to run across the whole land.

Gameplay:
The gameplay is flawless. The fighting engine is perfect. Some enemies are easy to kill while others are harder and require a lot more dodging and manuvering. The game has tons of items and weapons you collect and add to your inventory. The bosses are a little bit too easy but they are very cool looking. Each item has its own unique ability and they have to be used wisely throughout the game. The best part of the game in my opinion is the dungeons (or temples). The game has 12 dungeons you have to complete and some really offer up a challenge. The dungeon design is quite genious and each dungeon is original and have some sort of theme.
I'll give you a little overview of each dunegon:

Hyrule Castle:
Very easy but the castle looks great. It's fun and good for getitng you used to the style of the game. The ball and chain trooper is kind of like a boss but it is more like a tough enemy. In this dungeon you basically hack and slash at Hylian guards the whole time and then you take a dark underground passage filled with rats and snakes that leads you to the sanctuary.

Difficulty: Very Easy Boss Difficulty: Very Easy

Eastern Temple:
Raises the challenge bar from the last dungeon and there is a possibility you might get stuck here but overall the dungeon's puzzles are easy to figure out and it doesn't take long either. The boss is an army of large Armos Knights which can be annoying and kind of hard since you'll probaly only have 4 hearts.

Difficulty: Easy Boss Difficulty: Easy

Sandstorm Temple:
Pretty much the same as the last dungeon except this one is a little tougher. The puzzles arn't tough its the enemies in the dunegeon and there are a lot of them too. If you don't have any problems fighting off and dodging a lot of annoying enemies then this dungeon will be simple for you. The boss which is a group of underground worms can be kind of irritating but its still an easy boss.

Difficulty: Easy Boss Difficulty: Easy

Tower Of Hera:
This dungeon which lies on top of the Death Mountain Range is very simple. It looks hard at first but once you get the hang of what your supposed to do it's probaly just as easy as Hyrule Castle. It's a very fun dungeon and you get a key item here too. The boss which is giant caterpillar is on a platform that is surrounded by a drop down to the floor below it. You have to strike the caterpillars tail and each time you strike it he gets faster and faster. If you get used to the way the boss moves and take your time you'll find it to be very simple but if you rush at killing the caterpillar you'll find yourself falling to the next floor quite often.

Difficulty: Very Easy Boss Difficulty: Easy

Hyrule Castle (again):
After the priest from the sanctuary gets killed and Zelda gets captured by the evil wizard Agahnim you return to the castle once again but you go to the basement instead of the top floor. When you come here for the second time your equipped with the legendary master sword so you kill the enemies here quite easily. It's similar to the first time you go to Hyrule Castle where you hack and slash except with tougher enemies. The boss is Agahnim who is easy. Block his lighting balls with your sword and they'll bounce back and hit him. After you defeat the wizard you head to the Golden Land, the Scared Realm where the triforce lays. Except the land has changed. It has been turned into an evil land of darkness and now it is called the Dark World.

Difficulty: Very Easy Boss Difficulty: Easy

Palace of Darkness:
The first dungeon in the dark world really heightens the challenge by a lot. The dungeon design is very good but very puzzling and confusing. You'll find yourself playing this dungeon for awhile until you finally beat it. You have to bomb cracks in areas in the ground and fall to different levels, you have to use switches to open up several gateways and the switches can only open up a gateway at a time. The boss is still pretty easy though and he looks awesome.

Difficulty: Hard Boss Difficulty: Easy
