You already know everything about Chrono Trigger but I've got to say it for the sake of fairness that this is the most over-rated piece of crap I've ever played in my life. I honestly cannot nor ever will see what is so great about this boring, ugly, cliche-ridden waste of time and money.

This game was made for super nintendo. It is at a huge disadvantage because it is platformed from a inferior gaming system, yet i still have the balls to call it the greatest rpg ever. If you can find it buy it!

If you really want a great game, get this. Its alsmot perfect, the best fantasy, so many endings,greatest charcters, best story line i ever read. If you want a great game get this. You'll love it and love it more.

I've played this game since I was about 8. Sure, plenty of people say that SNES is really old and dead and why people still play it is stupid, but a while ago, Square Soft made several games for SNES that blew every other game off their socks. Chrono Trigger is one of those very games. While it doesn't completely make use of the 32-bit engine the SNES has (Super Mario RPG takes the 32-bit to a whole new level), the real hooker for this game is the plot, characters and specials. It has a real-time action battle feature, and the plot never lets you down until a certain point in the game where you can do pretty well anything, millions of people from many different places still play this game. It really is one of those "Can't stop playing, must beat" games. ^_^

If you never thought you had a use for that SNES, you're wrong. This is the RPG fan's perfect game! I'm only 12 and I love it like crazy! It's deffenitly the best game me, or any of my friends have ever played. If you can't find the rom or you are just a rare game collecter, this is a one for you. There is the new Final Fantasy Chronicles out for the PSX now, which has Chrono Trigger with extra anime sceens on it, but you have to wait for it to load. With the SNES cartridge, the waiting on loading is gone. FFC also has Final Fantasy VI in it, which is very exciting. Buy Chrono Trigger!!!

This is probably a useless review, but I'd like to contribute to the hoards of adoring fans. This IS Chrono Trigger, the darling of some of even the skeptical of Square fans. With that being said, this game cannot be reciprocated ever by Square themselves or another company. I believe either they are looking in a new direction (as with FFX-2) or sadly, they've just lost their vision. Enough of the tryst.
The graphics though on SNES, is very pleasant on the eyes. Don't be fooled that this game is relatively old, you will not be disappointed even if you're a new fanboy/girl to oh say, FFX. Do not EVER be fooled even on graphics themselves. They're bright, fluid and even details are given such as flowing hair or ribbons. The characters are very developped for their amount, I believe six in total but I might be a little off as I dislike some of them. *nyah to you Frog*. You'll definitely be motivated to finish the game, and carry on all the quests.
The music by Mitsuda Yasunori is probably an example of his best work. Everything fits the mood or situation in the story, and trust me some parts may make you want to cry. Everything is connected fluidly, and everybody here...does have a story. The only thing that may be criticized is the lack of difficulty, that's a fault with latter Square games like FF7 (*coughSephirothcough*) too but it's not too too bad here. Tolerable. The spell animations are quite pretty I must say, and there's not one moment you wish you were doing somewhere else.
Not to mention the numerous endings you can get, some very humerous and sought after. The tech system is innovative and fun to "get". It's refreshing also how the characters obtain an incoming fight, rather than random ones you can avoid (sometimes) monsters if you want. It begins innocently, the storyline but like Square games you're in for, for more than you intended. Chrono is a piece of work, if you're able to...tell me what he says.
There's a soul here, that's lacking in newer games. Don't pass a chance to play this one, no matter what genre of game you're used to.

chrono triigers great thats why im also gonna write about its remake for ps1 which comes with final fantasy 4 ...which lol is the remake of final fantasy2..........anyways chrono trigger is great if youre stupid enough to hate a game becuase of 8 bit graphics than you have no idea of what you'll be missing this game kept me busy for hours and i still bet i dont have everything......for any rpg gamer or anyone who happens to buy it ...well trust me youll love it but just remember if youre stuck(.......dont get mad get glad) just wait awhile think about it and in a few dAys at the most you should be able to beat the game so c ya and be sure to look for more reveiws from me hehehe......
