really easy to learn how to play, But still not easy to beat the game by your self. Great story can't wait for GOW2 or the movie

Gears Of War has been one of the most beautiful games I have played thus far on the Xbox 360. Not very many other titles can stand up to the graphics and detail that are given from this game.

On top of that, Gears Of War gives a challenging game play with seperate difficulty levels to start off with. Co-Op through the game gives a little more of a different feel than other 3rd Person Shooters have to offer. And I like the fact that the Co-Op is team oriented. A teamate falls out, you must clear the area and rescue them in the process. The story line is well put to gether, and the game play connects perfectly with the plot.

Over all, Gears Of War is a very good choice if your searching for titles to play on your Xbox 360

Wow, its a great game. Nice action, smart AI enemies and great game play. Many of the scenes are dark but the story line works. Game of the Year.

If you dont have this game by now. Whats wrong with you? And what planet are you from?Just get it .You'll be happy you did.Gears refreshes a saturated FPS/3PS market. Insane mode is seriously fun.And the online maps are fun and well detailed. There's not much not to like about this game, except the fact that the 1,000th time youve played it .Your allready jonesin for part 2.Since there are over 300+ reviews that cover all the games details I'll just add that you will be pleased with Gears Of War.A must Own Title. This game was absolutely amazing. If your a person that only buys first person shooters for the online play this game is a good game for you. The two four man teams makes for the need for teamwork, although you may want to host your own matches because the host can be unbelievable and needs no skill.

Now as I said before this has a great online mode. But you should definately play the campaign. It's short but not to short it took me about 8 1/2 hours on casual. And if you play the casual and it's too easy then play it on hardcore or better yet insane.

So overall this is a great game, but I do recommend renting it before you buy it. This is a game where you either love it or you hate it.

simply put... This game is the only reason I bought the 360. Theres plenty of reviews here that provide analysis so I'll just keep this simple: Buy the game, you won't regret it.

First of all, the last time I picked up a game controller was many years ago. I dont know why I bought the 360 but I did. Ive had it now for a couple months and the only game I own is Gears of War. I cant stop playing it! This game has opened my eyes to the gaming world and I am not the guy making fun of people for staying home all day playing video games anymore. LOL im becoming one.

I have to start with graphics. That's what everyone knows about this game. The graphics are a huge step for consoles. No other game on console compares. It's still not better than PC but the best yet for console. The shading and effects are awesome. The camera when you run is a very intuitive change to a shooting game.

The system of play is simple. Anyone can play this game. However the game itself is lacking a little. It feels a little empty and the story is just a side note really. The single player of the game is not something you would play over. It's a one time thing really.

The multiplayer is great. I'm not one to play online but I really enjoyed this one online. I don't like Halo because of the people but I haven't found any of the same gamers playing GoW online. I haven't had any offensive gamers. The only thing I hate is after the game is over when playing online, the game takes you all the way out to the first screen when you first load the game. You then have to go all the way back into the matches, you can't just continue. So it's a huge interruption to your play when online.
