Fight, Fight, Fight. This game will keep you busy for Days. The characters are awesome. Includes Spawn, Yoshimitu from Tekken and Quest mode with mulitiple difficulties that will keep you busy for a long, long time. Great game investment for Fight gamers.

Oh man soul calibur II. I loved the original soul calibur but when i heard the second one was coming out me and my brother reserved it right away.This game comes out august 28th and i cant wait. I think this just might be the one of the GREATISt fighting games ever. so you may be wandering "why should i get this game?" whell i'll tell you. You get to chose from i think all of the original fighters and some new ones, you get to be heichi from tekken on the PS2(i'm not quite sure what his weapon will be, it might be electicity but i'm not sure.), you get to experience completely Awsome graphics,some of the best i've seen on PS2, you get to choose from 200 weapons, and its a sequal from soul calibur so it MUST be good! well i hope my review was helpful and i recomend you reserve this game or you can hope there will be a copy left and buy it. so the bottem line is
Soul Calibur II is going to be an Awsome game.

(p.s.) if you've played the demo at some stores and you wern't very satisfied with the graphics,i've heard they have improved so look into that.

I will say it right now, I love Soul Caliber 2, for many of the same reasons I love the first game in the series Soul Blade (technically this is the 3rd chapter in the series). An excellent weapon based fighter that does not rely on projectiles (unless you have the Gamecube version) to dish out pain with an equal set difficulty so that all can enjoy it.

With that being said I do have one minor complaint. There is a part of Weapons master mode that I did not like, found repettitive and slightly hurt the game (but not much) and that was the dungeon chapters. My go they are annoying. I wouldn't of cared if they gave experience or more money but for each victory in the steps through the dungeon is like the money you get for losing a fight. Plus the dungeon would of been a great opportunity to unlock weapons and hidden features. Yet as massive as the dungeons were you didn't unlock much of anything at all (especially the 2nd time around).

Overall Soul Caliber is one of the absolute best fighters out there. If you are fighting game fan than this is perfect to add to your collection, along with Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance and Capcom vs SNK 2.

Soul Calibur II is the best fighting game I have ever played. Soul Blade was actually my first introduction to fighting games and I loved it. It had an incredible storyline for a fighting game. Most fighters such as Virtua Fighter 4 have ablolutely no story behind the characters. I want to know what drives the characters to fight . Why does Sophitia leave her family to search for a cursed sword? In Soul Calibur II everything is improved upon. The only thing that dissapointed me was that there wasn't a seperate Weapon Master mode for each character as there was in Soul Blade. But, after playing it for a bit, I found that I preffered it this way. Some missions are just easier to complete with Nightmare than Killik. When I first heard this game was coming out I went to the arcade to play it. Even in the arcade it was a lot of fun. Now that each platform has its own special character, it makes the game even better.

If u think this game isn't great, URE WRONG!

~Welcome to the new stage of history~ this game rules by its own

This game is a master piece of its own, it has become a classic and it's not only the best fighting game, it's one of the best games in the world! Every option in this game is enjoyable! From Arcade to master weapon, this game is nothing to make fun of because it's hard and challenging, beautiful graphics and it has amazing soundtrack that keeps you in the mood of fighting! I've also played its predecessor to death, SC one was already great, now that SCII is out it's even BETTER! The game got better in everyway! Great storyline, characters, features, items and weapons + galleries. The game play is so smooth and balance and the move list for each characters is given! People who have little interest for SCII really don't know what their missing! Believe me this game is by far one of the best and it's the kind of game u give a 9/10 review because it's just so amazing! Hours of fun to enjoy, whether alone or with friends this game rule!

So if u still didn't got this game, well next time u get your pay, why don't u spend it wisely for once =) and you know what I mean, this 70$ is worth it!

Ok when Soulcalibur 1 came out on Dreamcast, I thought it was just the best there was. I'm wrong now because this game has just kicked it in the bubblegoose!! I mean, the graphics are amazing! Character selection and control is off the charts. The challenges keep you playing for hours and there are tons of fun things to be unlocked! The facial movements are simply exquisite; their eyebrows even move like they are supposed to with the statements they say! If you like fighters and don't buy this game.. you are doing yourself a grave injustice indeed!

This is hands down the best fighting game I've ever played.The graphics are simply stunning,and the weapon master mode adds a lot of depth to the game.I just want to play it over and over with my friends!

This game is truly the best game ever. If you get it on PS2 you get the best guest characters Heihachi. Thats right the evil man from Tekken is back. If you have played Tekken you know that his lightning punches rock. Heinachi is back better than ever. So becouse of the guest star I recomend the PS2 version as number one. On the gamecube version Link is the guest star. He is ausome wit his sword and bow and arrow, he also has a boomerrang and a bomb. Because of this guest star I recomend the Gamecube second. On the Xbox version Spawn is the guest star. He has an ax and is slow. I recomend the xbox version third. That is where I am going to stop. The other characters are to cool for me to tell you. Overall don't bother to rent it youll like it as soon as you play it. Even if you dont like fighting games you should get it anywhay.

OK, first of all you shouldn't be reading this review, you should be at your local video game store BUYTHING THIS!!! This was supposed to be the best fighting game ever, and I had never heard of it. I pre-ordered it, and as a promotion, got Soulblade for PS1 free! And that was made about 7 years ago, and it is SO FUN! So now, I couldn't wait for it to come out, and well, here it is!
When I first pop in a game for the first time, I like to watch the beginning scene. The music was phonomenal, and the graphics were dazzling. It inspired me to write a book about the quest for Soul Edge, which turned out to be pretty good (it won Best in Class for my English class), and I couldn't wait to play it. I started off with Weapon Master mode, which was supposed to be VERY addictive, and they weren't kidding. It was incredible. It's not just kill people. You have to ring people out, deafeat multiple enemies with a certain amount of health, and sometimes earthquakes came periodically. That was mad fun!
The playing: The best, most beautiful game. The controls are smooth, while the different combos and moves just dazzled me. I got so into it, I stood up from my couch in crucial moments and fought the battle in the real world along with the game. It is so fun and addicting.
The modes: There are about 15 different modes. Weapon Master is the best, because you earn over 200 weapons, costumes, artwork, and more! But then there's classic like arcade, time attack, etc. There is Extra Arcade, which you can choose the characters' weapons, instead of the traditional arcade weapon. Yes, this is very fun, along with Extra Battle mode where you can have one hit KO's, no recovery mode, and standard. The rest are the same with exception of choosing the characters' weapons.
Music: WOW! I bought the limited edition guide, which came with the soundtrack. I thought it might be cheesy, but I was blown away by how well-orchestrated the sound was, and how great the overall playing was. I still listen to it on the way to school, during school, and when I drive places. It is AMAZING!!
Overall: This is the best game ever made. Never have I had so much fun playing it alone, even when I scream and shout death threats at the TV, and throw my controller, but that's a reaction, which is the goal of gaming industries. I was surprised at how much depth and sadness there was (read the stories about the characters in the guide book, or when you beat arcade mode in the game, look at the ending). This is a great buy, my 50 bucks went to the best it could. I love this game. Please do youself a favor and buy this game.

This is the best fighting game i've ever played. I mean i loved Virtua Fighter 4, but this makes it look like a steaming pile of crap. It can be played by rookies or hardcore fans alike. This is one of those games that anyone can pick up and enjoy. So get fifty bucks and go out get it.
