Animal Crossing is awesome

It is more fun than the original animal crossing. You get to change your hairstyle and you can move to different towns. You can actually play with another player in your town. It is amazing and I want to play it all the time. (Written by 12 year old daughter)

An Actual Sequel to Animal Crossing

When Nintendo announced that a version of Animal Crossing was coming out for the Nintendo DS, I was ecstatic. Since I bought the game, I haven't been disappointed. It isn't just a copy of the Gamecube version of Animal Crossing, it's a full blown sequel. There are more things to do, a bigger house to earn (with adjoining rooms, not just upstairs/downstairs/basement), and new special characters to meet.

I've listed below some of the major differences (enhancements!) over the original version.

1. Linking with other (actual) people using Nintendo WFC. Of course, the friend code concept used to ensure that you know beforehand the person entering your town is a bit slow and cumbersome, but it garantees that people entering don't just harass you and then leave. Note: linking with friends over the internet does require that the Nintendo DS being used can connect to a wireless access point. Otherwise, another DS with an Animal Crossing game pak must be within DS-to-DS range.
2. More rooms for your house! (unfortunately, this means more debt).
3. The ability to express emotions.
4. The ability to do your hair in different styles.
5. More furniture to collect, bugs and fish to catch, and fossils to dig up. A nice feature: Blathers will actually identify fossils for you instead of having to send it to the Faraway Museum.
6. New special characters like Dr. Sprunk and interesting twists on the old ones (Sahara, Wendell, Gulliver, and Crazy Redd).

The game has faster, less repetitive gameplay and is a definite improvement over its Gamecube predecessor. This is one of the most unique games out there for any console.

For Christmas my grammy got me this game.I had alot of doubts. The second I opened this game it sucked me in(In a good way of corse) . you get to own a house,find fossles ,make friends (they might move away(snif),and just have barrles and barrles and barrels of fun and expierence .This game is the best game ever. If you like this game(like me)you will also love pokmon trozi, nintendogs,and waro ware touched.

This game is what I expected and more. It's an accurate port from the Gamecube at the core, but the WiFi capability definitely adds a lot of replay value.

Go to the store and buy this game it is soooo fun! you can go fishing,bug catching,and lots more! if you ever see a fish with something on its back catch it because my brother did and it was a hammer head shark for 8000 bells! and in this time of year there are lots of cicada's i always hear them! i think the funnest thing is to go fishing for some reason. but there are lots and lots of fun things to do so go in your car and buy it!

this is such a great game!!!!!

you should buy this game. I like everthing in this game!!! you can do nintendo wi-fi conicton! please write a review with your freind code. nooks shop is open longer than it was in the gamecube verson. I love this game! IF you dont have this game buy it imeditly. if you dont have a nintendo DS than buy it. im sure you wont hate this game.

This is an AWESOME game! I had the first game for the Nintendo Gamecube and I loved it! This one is a HUGE improvement! I mean, you can wear hats! Granted, the humongo depts that you have to pay are a little too humongo...

This game puts you in a little town, you get to name the town by the way, with neighbors, a city hall, museum, and a couple of stores. With hard work and effort you can be the richest little person in the world! Muhahahahahahaha! Your little animal neighbors, ranging from cows to eagles, will become your friends and help you out in tough times.

I highly recommend this game to hardcore gamers, Nintendo fans, and those of you who are frightened to even go in a video game store. Yes, I mean non-gamers.

I also highly recommend that if you get this game you get the Player's Guide to go with it. It has some REALLY good tips in it! Muhahahahahahahahaha!

animal crossing is a good game but there are a couple of things that could improve it. like the wi fi instead of only meeting the people you know on there you could at least go to some place were you could meet new people to invite round. this game is addictive and it hurts your eyes after a while. this game is great but they need to fix the wi fi up a bit.

Fun=this game is good for all ages and provides a lot of fun

game life= this game can last forever because it works with real time.

Education= this game has quite a lot of reading in it witch is good in someways.

overall= this is a good game for all ages it has many feautures such as note in a bottle when you can write a note and send it to some random person, you can design your own clothes and furniture and much much more there is always something to do in animal crossing. If your a gamer like me who likes action games this game will also be good for you. This game was so good it got me of my psp and back on to my ds.

If you like Simulation Games (like The Sims) you'll LOVE this!! This is one of the games you MUST have for your Nintendo DS. Everything is great: The homes, the animals, the animals intelligence, the items, multiplayer, games etc! I've even got my teenage sister addicted to it! I reccommend to buy it!

My best friend had this game and said it was really cool. I was getting a DS for my birthday so I asked my parents for Animal Crossing too. When I first started playing I thought it was a neat game that seemed very realilistic. Honestly I thought after a couple of months I might get board. Strangely I find myself exited every day after school wondering what Tom Nooks Shop had. It is a great game if you are board and just want to relax. I reccomend this game to people of all ages.
