Great But Short

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 2 / 3

I loved the original Call of Duty and this expansion pack is more of the same, but is short. Like the original, United Offensive seems to focus on the Russian campaigns. In both games, the final missions involved a large Russian campaign on an almost epic scale which means fighting off waves and waves of Nazis. I liked the bomber missions in both but again they were short. What I found interesting is during the scrolling of the credits, the mini animated movie of your lone hero fighting from the right to the left of your screen is continued from where he left off from the original game.

Worth Buying

I haven't finished the game yet but I am very happy with the game play. I am playing it on normal and it isn't so easy as to walk right thru it. It has some scenes that are pretty tough. I truely hope that they keep creating new games off of these great hits. I think that they could do much better what Medal of Honor has tried to do. The quality level of these two COD games are about as good as it gets. My hats off to these guys! Two thumbs up!

A great add on to COD

I'm only 11 and I beat this game in 1week. First right when you start the game you are on a patrol in a forest ,and you get right to the action. After the Amarican campaign. You are a Bomer turret gunner ( I just forgot his name)eventaly get shoot down over Holland. Later in the campaign you take place in Operation Husky. My favorite part is the Russian campaign. Your name Yuri, and you start at these trenches to keep the Germans from breaking the line. And yes the mission is Kursk.

The multiplayer is the same as the other COD. Not really because you can drive tanks and jeeps. Also you get new weapon like a portable MG34 or portable .30 cal panzershreck, and bazookas. There'er 3 new types to of game Capture the flag, base assault, and domination. This also includes 11 new multiplayer maps.

Always at a game store look at the backs of the game to see if its a add on.

You should have a chance to win

I have loved the "Call of Duty" and so I have jumped to the expansion pack. Most unfortunately even at the Green level it is too tough for those looking merely for fun. You have to be almost a "pro" or have hours and hour to be in front of your computer to have a chance to win and jump to the next level. I can not say I have loved this one and I regret I bought it.

In this game you will be playing as American, British and Russian. It follows right after the first Call of Duty. The last battle of each level will be the toughest battles you will ever play. I strongly reccomend it to all World War II fans. You will get your money's worth.

You are holding a gun, and you aim at a soldier.

This is the most intense game ever. YOur ability to aim down the sight gives you the eye of an allied soldier who is ready to bring down the war machine once and for all. This game is not just about shooting, it's about surviving. Snipe an enemy soldier, destroy a tank, cover fire for your team, and move forward.

You need a $300 graphics card to play

While my amd 2400+ Ti4200 system has held its own through the original Call of Duty, this new expansion pack requires the newest, most expensive card to play it with good frame rates. It was choppy even at 640x480. Overall the game plays like all the worthless Medal of Honor expansions. Oh well, I guess there isn't a title they won't ruin in the name of profits.

This game has the best graphics out and it probably the best you'll play if you love online multiplayers. even if you do the singleplayer its still awesome! best game I have and I am a total gamer. the custom maps are incredible too. make sure you turn on "allot auto downloading" in the multiplayer options!

buy this game if you're not a noob and have a love for gaming.

Great Online Play - not been able to play single person

3 Rating: 3, Useful: 1 / 1

I loved the first COD and looked forward to this expansion pack. Unfortunately I have been getting an error when trying play the single person and it will not work. I check their website and they have a fix but it would require me reinstall both programs and not use all the multiplayer maps I have installed. I will wait for a patch.

On the other hand the multiplayer maps are awsome. The new wepons are great and the tank are easy to drive and very powerfull. The good news even with the tanks it's a well balance game play. Some of the map are very large and some are small with no tanks. The good news it always easy to find an available tank.

I brought this game primary for the multiplayer maps, but disappointed that the single player doesn't work. I hope they find a solution soon. I would rate the multiplayer a 5! I will hold off on rating the single person.

Good expansion. Multiplayer biased though

I'm big into the multiplayer side of things so this was a perfect expansion for me. The enhanced anti-cheat scripting that meshes with the existing anti-cheats are great.

All the additions have enhanced the game so that it is even more teamwork oriented. S&D and Ret are still kings of the game, but you'll still find some TDM servers out there to blow off steam on.

The single player was very, -very- challenging. It is short though. Expansion sized. Which, since it's an expansion, is properly in it's place. While I enjoyed them, some were a obviously designed for the powergamer who has a a faster quicksave key then a trigger finger though.

The Cinemagraphic and realistic nature is still on top. This is an immersion game that makes you feel like you are there. Until Brothers In Arms comes out next spring I'll be playing CoD:UO.
