Great Gameplay, but cheaters galore.

Like all of these people have said, this game is the most fun FPS (First Person Shooter) out there. It COULD easily get a five, but the cheaters in this game are HORRIBLE. Cheaters are every where for those of you interested in this game. There are tons of hacks out there for this game, and you can simply find them by searching for 'cs hacks' in your search engine and installing them. The counter-strike developers, have done nothing about this, and it is ruining the game. I think at this moment though, Sierra and Valve (The producers and makers of this game) are coming up with an anti-cheating program. Do not be awed by this. When Punk-Buster came out, rumor has it, that it was hacked into within five hours of it's release. Punk Buster was yet another anti-cheating program to try and stop cheaters. Everyone would LOVE to have cheaters out of here, but that wont be for a while in my opinion. I am hoping that they make an actual WORKING anti-cheat program soon. I know one is in development as of now. Without a doubt though, even with the cheaters, this game is worth your money, and your time. Great FPS game. Go get it. But beware of cheaters, and if you cannot absolutely tolerate them, then this is not the game for you.

This game is awesome because it has good graphics, good gameplay, awesome levels and environments, cool weapons (real world weapons), and it sort of has a chatroom after you die.

let me put it simply: this game is amazing. basically, in the game you are either a terrorist or a counter-terrorist trying to complete various objectives depending on the map-such as bombing something, rescuing hostages, or the most fun one: eliminating the other side. the weapons are all real-life and just realistic enough to be fun but not annoying (ex: extreme recoil is very perturbing). this game is definitely one of the best ever, even though the graphics are a bit bad because of its age(which really doesn't matter) get this game if you have a fast internet connection, otherwise it will probably be choppy and not fun. also, there are thousands of servers running cs(i recommend homelan servers) and always tens of thousands of people playing, no matter what time it is(time seems not to exist when playing!). Otherwise, this game is constant action and strategy blended perfectly. the sequel, counter-strike:condition zero, will be released in august 2002, definitely get it!

First and foremost....THIS GAME ROCKS. It is simply the most addicting online experience u can get. plus it is pretty cheap, so u wont be saving up wads of money like you have to for other games *cough ut2k3 cough*
Pluus I am 11 years old. I know this game is rated mature but If your son/daughter/robot wants this game and u think it might be bad, trust me, if your son/daughter/robot is mentally stable and can handle a little blood it will be fine. YES there is some language but when ur engrossed in the game u usually dont find it to distracting. its not like HUGE letters popped up on the screen. its alittle section of the screen with text and plus if a perticualr guy/gal/robot is getting on ur nerves with language u can always just mute them. and there are some pronographic sprys but i havent seen one in a long time. alot of servers outlaw them, and even if htere is one u can just ignore it.

all in all awesome shooter game buy it now...

I've played this game hundreds of times and I still love the game.The graphics are good and the levels are realy fun to play. Real weapons and lots of e'm.Weapons include shotguns, sub-machine guns, pistols, automatic rifles and more. This game is a must buy and should order it now or get from the store. If you've seen someone play this game and you don't think it looks fun well think again. Lots of vehicles to choose from that are cool. Play game on probably hundreds of maps from jungles to streets and to the oil rigs.

Half-Life counterstrike is a wonderful Pc game. If you don't mind the violence in it, then you will have a wonderful time. Counterstrike is an on-line game. You can play with other gamers around the world. Let's start with the graphics. The graphics are great. It looks kind of like a sega dreamcast game. The re-play value is excellent because you're playing it with different skill levels each game. If you liked games like Perfect Dark or Goldeneye 007, you will love counterstrike!

Ok, first of all. The weapons are realistic stretching from the high powered .50 Desert Eagle to the infamous but widely used M-4 Rifle. The damage is realistic, in a couple of hits you'll be dead in a heartbeat. The maps are great stretching from de_dust which is the prefered map of most counter-strike players in which you have to planet?defuse a bomb or just anihilate each other, and cs_assault is basically a wherehouse. There are ventilation shafts to go through and 2 other ways to get in. I say it's just about the same as the Alamo except with grenades and machine guns. Next they have a variety of people who play online. They are very cooperative if you don't make them mad or anything or unless you join a bad game. Most of the times I play though the people cover me as I am entering the battle zone or through flashbangs and have a friendly chat with me. One of the next things is that you DONT need the cd to play. You can give it to friends so they can install and enjoy the game with you. But the best thing I love about this game are the gunfights. They are fast paced and always keep you on your feet.

Counter Strike is an awsome game! A great expansion to Half-Life. Counter Strike in many ways is more realalistic. You are fighting real people, either terrosists or counter terrorists, and you have tons of kool,realistic guns. Although this game isn't available on CD yet, you can download it online.
