Great for newcomers...

If you have yet to catch onto the Sims, this is EXACTLY where you need to start. If you already own the Sims, don't buy this pack. The 50 or so things it contains that weren't in the original will be in the new Superstar expansion. Otherwise you really ought to pick up a copy of this.

Well, I have to admit I've really never gotten to get a Sims game, but when I dee something like this, it's super. I can have all the fun with the original game, and expansion pack, and skin creater, for less than half the price thengetting each seperate. I guess it was worth it to wait. So get this, it's a great value, fun, and customizable so what are you waiting for!

OK, I borrowed this game from my friend. I was confused at first but, I got the hang of it. It's really catchy. It's the BEST game I've ever played.I gave it back to my friend, but everytime I see her, I ask her if I can borrow it again!! I LOVE the game. It's cool how you can build houses and stuff. One thing that I don't like is that if you have to Sims (male and female) living in the same house when you start the game, you cannot make the guy propose to the girl :( but that's the only thing I would change. When I got it, I played for HOURS on end. I would not stop!! I wish she would give it to me. She's coming over tonight ...I think ...

great game for CONTROL FREAKS

This game has brought my grandson many hours of pure CONTROL fun.
There are some limits, that are sometimes, frustrating, like the prices, they remind me of the original MONOPOLY. However, Rosebud comes to the rescue, which makes it seem more modern, since most people are living on credit cards, anyway. They have set up the game to make the characters speak their own language, SIMLISH, it sounds like gibberish, and is really annoying!
IT IS SOMEWHAT educational, however, because it causes a person
to consider the things that are necessary, to live in the real world.

[4.5 Stars] One of My Favorite Games!

I recieved this game as a birthday present this March and I must say that I am very pleased. The Sims: Deluxe Edition is the original Sims with the Livin' Large expansion pack.

I played The Sims at a friend's house about a year ago, and since then, I've wanted to get it. I never got around to getting it until I got it as a gift. I have really enjoyed the Sims: Deluxe Edition.

There's lots of really neat furniture and goodies to mess around with. Call me sick, but I also like it when you can get a couple to "play" in the heart-shaped vibrating bed...hehe.

I would have given The Sims: Deluxe Edition 5 stars, but there were a few things bugging me. I don't like how one character an't do a certain thing or go somewhere they want to go, because there's a clog in the hallway or something. You have to make your hallways larger than normal so that all the sims can get past each other. Also, I don't like how a neighboor will come over to visit at 3 am. They'll stay all night; eating your food, watching your television and sleeping in your beds. I can be old-fashioned. And that has just been bugging me.

Overall, I like this game a lot. It's very entertaining and highly addictive. I recommend it imesnsly.

If you are looking for a fun {hard} strategy game this is it. There are tons of stuff you can buy and an almost endless amount of things you can do. You can use codes to make the game even more fun. You can also creat families and build houses. Your sims also need jobes and the kids needs to go to school or be sent to military school.{ha ha} Well this isn't even close to telling you everything about the sims. So like I said if you are looking for a good fun {hard} strategy game this is it. HAVE FUN

This game includes The Sims and The Sims Liv'n Large. It is awsome. A cheat is type rosebud by hitting Ctrl shift and c at the same time. Type rosebud presst Ctrl shift c again and do this !;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!A. That's for tons of money.

The Sims Deluxe is a fine game although it's expensive. It is worth it!I don't have any expansion packs for The Sims or the original.
Pros:
Lots of stuff to buy! Also lots&lots of social situantions! And its hard to stop playing! Also lots of realism!(Sort of)
Cons:
Likliness of running slow when lots of Sims are around. Some people may not like the sexual content.Lots of frustrating things like death and such.

Expand eventually

As everyone states, this game is addictive; HOWEVER, eventually it looses its' steam. If you purchase The Sims I suggest that you also purchase an expansion at the same time or soon thereafter. What happens is that you will get bored with being in the house or in the neighborhood all the time and the only way to get out of the neighborhood is to buy an expansion. It is fun to play awhile with your sims in the house and to build new neighborhoods but as mentioned earlier the massive amount of micromanaging gets frustrating and all you really would like to do is see your sims interact with others in an environment that you do not constantly have to change/update. I find more enjoyment out of watching personal interactions between sims than building houses.
