This is great for new simfreaks. In this version, you have the basic sims with Livin large,w hich works out to be cheaper than before. In response to "a gamer" you have to know what your computer's capabilities are, and you have to know when to say, "quit it". This is good for those who don't have Livin Large, if you do, well just forget about it. Enjoy!

Why wouldn't you wanna get it?

I see people saying that they are true Sim fans and that they won't get this. The truth is that every single Sim fan needs this game so that they will be able to experence the whole thing! How can you say that you hate all Itallian food if you haven't tasted it? How can you say that The Sims Deluxe Edition isn't worth all of the money if you haven't tried it? I am a big fan of the Sims (no duh) and if you're a parent of a Siming child this is a must have for Christmas!

I had this Sims Deluxe Game for a year and a half and its not boring yet. If YOU think your wasting your money think again! My grandma plays it, my mom plays it, so does my dad and my brother. Trust me, this is game is so REAL and you will not stop playing it it is addictive also. Its like a cigarette you can stop using it till itz done. My bro said that using the money cheat dosent make it fun and i LOVE this game so much. Im looking forward to getting my love Sims 2 and it comes out on my birthday holla. Im 11 years old too! But my review counts!
I would give it more stars by the way!

I got this game 2 months ago and it's really getting very addictive. I'm planning on buying it on PS2 and cant wait till the sims 2 gets out next year. The graphics aren't that good, but I heard that the graphics of the coming sims 2 are very good. Really nice. It's worth ur money.

It has everything! Build a house. Create a person- or persons. Get a job. Climb up the job career ladder. Get more Simoleans (Sim version of money). Build a bigger house, buy more stuff, maybe get abducted by aliens. It's just like real life! Well, except for the aliens thing. But really- it's a wonderful game! It should only be played by teens and up, though- some parts in it can be a little bit mature.

This game rocks!

I first bought the Sims when it came out. After losing both the original Sims and Living Large discs, I figured buying this game would be a suitable replacement. I was right! I love this game, and it's so much fun to cast yourself as a Sim and steal your Sim's best friend's boyfriend. There's also the money codes, which are very helpful. The only thing that deducts from the Sim's appeal is that it gets old, fast. But to me that's a good thing, because after a while I HAVE TO play this game again and again. It's a very fun game, and the expansion packs just add to the fun.

My gosh, this game is addictive! I love it! I own many houses and I made them all wealthy. It's strange for me to have less than $10,000. My sisters love it, too. We have a policy to finish our homework before playing. It really helps because we always do our homework right after school! I've had the game for about a month and I'm not sick of it. The music is great, too.

A Quick Sims Buying Guide

I've enjoyed playing the Sims for years now, but instead of a review, I'd like to present a buying guide for the Sims, to make it a little less frustrating for new players.

You see, while the expansion packs add new gameplay, some of them also make the game more challenging -- or difficult, depending on your point of view.

You'll want to start with the basic Sims game, and optionally the first two expansion sets, Livin' Large and House Party. The next expansion set, Hot Date, "upgraded" how the relationships worked to make them more realistic -- in other words, more difficult. The Sims Deluxe contains the basic Sims game and Livin' Large. The Sims Mega Deluxe contains everything up to and including Hot Date, but the installation allows you to choose which packs to install.

At this point, you may wish to explore the internet itself for Sims add-ons! Many sites have new faces, clothes, houses, and even objects (some which allow you to cheat!) that you can install. (For these add-ons, installation means downloading files and copying them into your Sim folders, not installing from a CD. Unfortunately, installation is more difficult than installing from a CD.) Many houses and objects require expansion packs, so once you've played around with internet add-ons, start thinking about the expansion packs. And, yes, from the internet you can find all those lovely cheats to "help" you play the game -- or you may be inspired to create your own skins, houses, and Sim add-ons to share with others.

I should say that you don't need every expansion pack to enjoy the game. I haven't even touched my copies of Hot Date or Vacation because I don't play the "virtual relationships" aspect of the game. My personal recommendation is, interestingly enough, the last expansion pack, Makin' Magic, if only because MM has spells which bypass tedious parts of the game -- ie. cheat! :D

this is FUN!!!!

but do the people have to make sounds like they're crying so much? i try getting this one person to do something and he cries and waving his hands and then he MOANS when i say do this or do that!!! i mean i LOVE this game but they can't speak english though oh well that's ok they talk so much they probably run it all together. but anyway it's really fun to tell them what to do i don't know why it is but it's just is!!! like telling them to read the paper they actually sound like they're reading it!!! like they say"uh huh ooh uh huh hmmm ohh uh huh ohh" then they put it down but can't they just put it in the house after reading it? they just put it back in the grass. and it does save your people automatically they just stay there in the original houses!but you can only do like 8 people why not more? but that's ok.
