Even if you already have all the expansion packs you should still buy Deluxe. I did and I am very happy I did. (you can almost tell I'm spoiled) But I did experince a problem with getting it to work. I thought I had to uninstall everything so I did and then the thing only worked once. I tried different combinations of installing the game but nothing worked. Now I have to buy a new hard drive for my brand new laptop with totally sucks! But anyway I installed just Deluxe on my other computer and it worked fine. It's a cool game and I especially like the Sci-Fi theme but the Roman theme...eh...it has to go. So anyway buy Deluxe.

i just installed the Hot Date and Vacation EP's. I bought the DE version and those EP's at the same time from amazon.com. now i am upset (not at amazon.com) but the game itself. the deluxe version installed with just those 2 EP's causes my system to run on very low memory. I run a P4 2.0, 80gig HD, 512 ddr ram, 128 bit graphic and sound cards. Anyway, when playing i noticed the game was running slow, come to find out my ram was down to 55mb-65mb, which is very bad to run that low on a system that never runs that low. any lower i will get a message stating to close some programs. i tried restaring the computer and i was running at 320mb ram, i started the game, paused it, checked my usage on ram, it was back down to 57.9mb available. waste of money

I played this game at my friends house , it can be hard your first time playing it , but it wil get easier.
Making the people is easy , but controling them can be tough.
Overall this game is fun , being your sims , and making the houses , and having familes. If you want sims game , this is a good one to buy .

LOOK OUT! IT WILL COST $10 MORE TO INSTALL!!!!

This rate form wont let you enter 0 !!! If you get the version we did for our little girl- the case version NOT the jewle version- THE SERIAL NUMBER IS INVALID!!!!! The game won't install at all. It is NOT just this game either, the Jewel verion of the MakinMagic Expansion pack has the same defect. EA not only KNOWS this, they CHARGE $10 TO FIX IT!!!! So if you want to run this game it will cost you more. In our case $20 more. The EA website REQUIRES you to give your personal information to AOL just to get customer service and then they DONT give you the valid code!!!!! So you get taken again. Their FAQ's and advertisements don't mention any thing about this at all- we read all 380-odd entries. Just to top it off EA assumes you are trying to steal from them and treat you as if you are and they "dont have any way to tell if the game is stolen or copied". Yeah they can look up your age, bank account, address, phone number, credit card number and compile a user profile on your kids but they cant tell if you got your game from Amazon. This is really lame.

The DELUXE EDITION is totally worth it!
It's having 3 programs IN ONE GAME.
We bought ours after researching our games.BR>We thought it was TOTALLY worth it!

I already had The Sims, but the CD was scratched and I wanted Livin' Large so I bought this. I am thrilled with the quality of this game. There is so much more than The Sims.
Pros
Very fun gameplay
Lots of clothing choices to choose from
5 neighborhoods and 50 lots

There are some cons due to a some problems with the CD

Cons
This is a brand new CD and there is a ton of skipping of music and long pauses between different modes.
Because I already had The Sims, I had a lot of trouble with the installation. Finally I figured out that I had to tell it to re-install.

This is a great game and I highly recommend it.

I loved it! TThe Only thing is when you have children on an XP computer and your kids or teens are playing on restricted accounts, it won't let restricted accounts play...

I really enjoy this game. I built mansions for all my friends and I can choose to do pretty much whatever I want for them. I cn use my imagination and it's easy to play.

i have fun working with this game it makes me wish that we all had control of are lifes like the game its fun to raise babys up to kids and finding jobs that work with the people. thanks for making games like this.

When I first got this game...all I did was play..I didnt even sleep!!! So..there you have it...this is the best game ever along with all the expansion packs!!
