This game was really fun but i couldn't play it for more than an hour or it would freeze and computer would go black. it takes a really long time to install. It also caused the sound to go out but my dad fixed it. it is a addicting game though but not worth it.

Bought this package a couple of weeks ago. I have spent a fair number of hours playing. It is certianly entertaining, but I disagree with those that praise this game as real-life simulation. I won't get into the many reasons why this is not the case (and I would never expect it to be), but perhaps the most important item missing is, it is really hard to be a bad person in this game. Everyone is supposed to behave and in fact behaves as a picket-fence, green-yard, nice neighbor.
To me, the biggest letdown of this game is that I developed the exact same feeling I endd up with when I played the multiple SimCity editions: After a bit of playing and putting everyone on the road to success, I find myself wondering "Ok now what." It feels a bit pointless to take 10,000 baths, urinate 50,000 times, and watch TV 15,000 times, just as in Simcity it was boring to watch your city live its own life after you were done populating the map and everything was thriving (a matter of time).
A Great addition to the Sims Family.

The Sims Deluxe is going to be great! The best part about it is that you will be able to add the expansion packs onto it. It has loads of new stuff and all you have to do is uninstall the original sims and when The Sims Deluxe comes out, install it on the computer and then reinstall the expansion packs. Im really impressed with everything that Maxis has been creating and planning for the past few months and really looking forward to this new release.

Some people think we are controled by someone (a god). That person somtimes make good things happen or make bad things happen. That person controls us 24/7, the things we buy, the people we love, the people we hate, and the things we do.
NOW you can be that person! Contol your people! Make your people! Love your people, DO ANYTHING! The diffence is these people are sims. I don't want to tell you all the features because i'll be babbling! I also want to say buy expasion packs! Expasion packs adds more accaserrouis to your sims! Also make them go to new places. So play it. WIndows 95/ 98/ 2000/ xp.

The sims is a very fun game when you first buy it. But when you do possibly everything you can do on the sims, it gets very boring. Sometimes on the create a sim mode, my game keeps on crashing preventing me from creating a family. It will also crash randomly sometimes while I am playing. The graphics are not that good either. I would recommend that people should just wait for the Sims 2 to come out.

The first sims i have played was simcity 3000 and [...] I hated it caz i never had enough money...anyways the second one i tryed was with my friend at her house..it was called sims 2 in which was alot better than that other [...] i played...well now i went to a birthday party and started playing this game sims deluxe edition...and it rocked! i was shocked that it was better than simcity 3000 but it was and that is a good thing. In this game i had made my own family with two kids and i made where they lived and what they did most of the time. i had the dad working the kids went to school and the mom cleaned the house. I had sooooo much fun that i wanted to buy so i asked my parents if they could get it for me since i am quite broke. lol. well they are suppose to get it soooooon...and i can't wait i am having a major craving for the game...ugh...i want the game so bad that you could call me addicted! [...]
