I just got this game yesterday at eb games. I love it. This game is so much fun. The day before i had gone to wal mart to look for it and they didn't have it, i got so dissapointed. But when i found out they had it at eb games i HAD to buy it. It's so cool if you use too much stuff to kill the bugs on ur plants, u will turn into a plant person. It's easier to take care of ur sims when they are plant people. All they need is love, sunlight, and water! The weather effects are pretty cool too! I love this game.
why pre-order?

Why bother to pre-order...when Best Buy has it in the store today and Amazon hasn't even shipped it yet!

This definitely adds a great deal of game play options and it's tons of fun to plant and fish. Some of the new commands are pretty interesting as well (like leftovers)
Best expansion so far.

For me, this has been my favourite expansion for the sims 2. Gardening and Juicing is a great addition to the game.

I've been wanting weather in this simulation since "The Sims." Maybe I'm just a realist, but I feel that adding things from our every day life should be in this game... and Maxis just got one step closer.

I have been playing the Sims since the Sims 1 came out and I have to say this is the best game pack ever!
The weather was a much needed addition to the game it adds so much realism, and the ability to grow produce and catch fish for food and sale is challenging and loads of fun.

Sims 2 Seasons is an incredible expansion. It truly adds an element that we really didn't notice was missing. And now that there is rain and snow, plus changing colors, Sims 2 has turned into a really beautiful game. It's true, the weather is not in 3D space. The rain and snow are overlay effects with graphical changes outside. The combination of the two creates an illusion of weather that your sim can interact with. It's something else when you are playing with your sims and there is the loud CRACK of thunder.
Although Seasons is not my overall favorite (Open For Business is), it definitely adds something to the game that should have been there from the beginning. It doesn't change the gameplay at all (like University or Business), but it does blend in beautifully with the game (like Pets). I have yet to mess with the gardens or fishing, but I look forward to it. What's really nice is that you can customize your seasons for each neighborhood and also each instance of downtown, college, and business town. In effect, you can create "seasonal getaways" that are different in seasons within the same neighborhood. Too bad you can't take your sims and travel there, but you could do a "move". Plus you can change your seasons on the fly.
So if you're a Sims fan, then this is one you definitely want to get.
A great addition for sims

This expansion pack was very well thought out and adds many new features for sims. It does a great job of keeping everything fresh and interesting and adding a compelling element to the game: seasons and weather. Sims can no longer go swimming in their pool all year round and have to dress appropriately for the weather. There's also lots of new activities for them which keeps everything interesting and fun. I found I finally had something to do with my sims who had already accomplished everything they needed to do in life. Now they can make and take care of a garden and fish. This expansion is a must for any sims lover!
