There are lots of bonus stuff you can unlock in this game including a documentary, audio commentary feature about making of each of the missions. Beside 10 main missions there are 5 bonus missions which are very difficult to unlock and many cool bonus ships including Millenium Falcon, Bopa Fet's Slave I, Tie Fighter and Naboo Starfighter.
Another interesting feature is that some missions are different if played in different times of day. Sunset in Tatooine is beautiful !
Great music and awesome graphics.
The reason to buy a Gamecube.

Ok, I am probably the biggest nerd in the universe, I own all three console systems in addition to my PC. You might say I like games... a lot. Maybe too much. It seems like I waste a lot of money on mediocre games that make me wonder why I even bother.
Then I buy a game like Rogue Leader and I remember.
Next to Halo, Rogue Leader is probably the greatest console game on the market, and possibly one of the best ever made. The graphics are pristine, the gameplay is excellent and it captures the Star Wars atmosphere perfectly. While I wasn't a big fan of the first Rogue Squadron because it sometimes degenerated into arcade-like silliness, the sequel seems to have the best elements of an arcade style shooter combined with some of the features of the X-Wing games for the PC. The result is an immersive, compelling game with lots of twists and turns.
It's not all flowers and sunshine, unfortunately, and there are a couple of small missteps that keep me from giving this game that fifth star it deserves on the single player missions alone. The biggest flaw and one that is slowly becoming the death of more and more games out there is the lack of a multiplayer element. Obviously this limits replayability, but what really bothers me is the fact that this could have been the "Halo" of the Gamecube. Unfortunately, without utilising those three other joystick inputs, Rogue Leader doesn't live up to it's full potential.
Rogue Leader could have had better music at times as well. It seems to rely on midi-type music that makes John Williams incredible score sound thin and computerised. The only other flaw, a small one, is that I think the game could have used some additional point of views and customizeable controls. People used to the X-Wing games on the PC might have an easier time mastering the game.
I know this soudns like a lot of complaints, but considering the strengths, they're really small potatos. The missions, dog-fights, maps, backgrounds, and all the visual elements are almost flawless. There are lots of unlockable missions like navigating the Millenium Falcon through the asteroid field, that will compell you to play a mission over and over to get them right. The gameplay is far more challenging than your usual batch of arcade shooters and the variety of vehicles keeps them from getting tedius. If you're a Star Wars fan, you'll probably be hooked the first time you fly along the surface of the Death Star or take out an AT-AT with your tow-cables. This game really shows what the Gamecube can do and what it can do is surprisingly impressive.

I LOVE StarWars. All of the movies. This game is one of the best on Gamecube. But the sound is not. When Lando or someone says something like in 1 of the movies,it dosen't sound a thing like them. But,the graphics are so good it's like controlling the ship in movies.I have all original 10 levels+Tatooine Training+5 bonus levels.I have all of the ships,X-Wing,A-Wing,B-Wing,Y-Wing,Slave1,Millenium Falcon,Naboo Starfighter,Imperial Shuttle,Tie Fighter,Tie Advanced, and Snowspeeder. The game is really fun. This is a must have for sure!

If you like intense and mind thrashing combat this is the game for you.If you liked the movie's of star wars your going to love
Rogue Squadron 2 with intense in your face dogfights in space,
Tons of different ships and levels and very hard enemys.
Unlike some people I used some codes but just for fun.
But if u think this is a joy ride you are wrong from Raid on besbin to strike at core my luck went down hill,It is nearly impossible to get gold medals on these levels, but I did it.
So if your not really big on starwars the I think its best rent this game before you buy it,from 1-10 this game deserves a 10.
I hope this review helped you and GOOD LUCK.
This is one of the best here...

With stunning visuals and an encompassing storyline, Rogue Squadron II (hereafter refered to as RS2) is a must-buy for any fan of the series. When playing the game, it looks as though you're watching the movie, but controlling it with your extremely comfortable Gamecube Controller. This game has some interesting levels, some mediocre ones, and some that are just boring. The medals are INCREDIBLY hard to earn, and without cheats, some of the levels are impossible (okay, just really hard). Just because of the level of difficulty, I have to count off a star, but this is one of the best games around.

Well actually 4 1/2 stars. It is an awsome game and the graphics are great and the sound is even better. The only problem is that there are not enough levels. Beside from that, and the fact that you are only Luke in about three maybe four levels, it's a great game. Oh and by the way since your not Luke in the game your Wedge Antilles taken' on the Empire and might i say doin' a good job. Anyway... I beat this game and let me tell you it really is a hard game in some areas so i would not recommend little kids to get it. Probably between the ages of 12 and up. Yeah, that's about right. Over and out. Oh and good hunting Wedge it's counting on you....

I am a huge SW fan, and I think this is the best SW game yet! It is soooooooooooooooo realistic! (Your R2 unit is very helpful) If you have a Gamecube and you don't have this game, you don't really have a Gamecube.
