At first I had no clue what I was doing but when I looked for help on a walkthrough I became hooked. The game looks just like a movie and the music and action is nonstop. At first I was reluctant to buy it because I thought the only thing you did was fly a plane and shoot other planes but when I read you can fight against imperial walkers I knew I had to use my [money] to buy this used game. It makes you appreciate the movies even more and it's fun to play again and again. You have to use a bit of strategy and the game makes you use your head a lot and I think thats why the game is so popular with critics and teenagers. The only game cube game better than this one is the much loved Super Smash Bros Melee. Both games are must haves.

If you remotely like video games, and Star Wars, then you must own this game! Even the training mission on Tatooine is damn cool...the Death Star attack(the first real mission), will have any true Star Wars fan feeling like they're really in the movie. Cool details, like controlling your squadron formation, and the targeting computer add to the whole experience, with real voices of Wedge too...awesome game overall.

The wonderful graphic are not without backup, the game is a classic worthy of the history books, although some missions are difficult, if a game is to easy then it gets boring. Rouge Leader strikes it right inbetween frustrating and boring so it is a perfect game.
A definite "must buy".
Star Wars has never looked so good, or been so much fun

Lucas Arts two previous Star Wars flight games had been Rogue Squadron for the N64, and Battle For Naboo, also for the N64. These two games both featured a ton of action, while not following the plot of any of the films. Rogue Leader though follows the plot of the films, while adding some extra elements in. This game is brillant on every count. With stunning graphics, (including brillant pyrotechnics) ships that handle with the greatest of ease, and a soundtrack true to the movies, this is the best Star Wars game to date. The game features a multitude of missions, (including several secret levels), an arsenal of ships at your command, (again containing many secret ships), and the addition of a targeting computer and wing command system. Every mission gives you the chance to earn a medal; either bronze, silver, or gold. The better the medal, the more points you earn. You can use these points to buy those bonus missions I spoke of. The level of difficulty of obtaining these medals can be very high. Even the best of pilots will be challenged by the extent of some of these missions. Fortunately, Lucas Arts has also included a code system enabling you to unlock levels you aren't able to get through points. This game is overall exceptional. No other Star Wars game can compare to Rogue Leader.

Now that this game has been out for a while, you can get it at great prices. It certainly is worth a try if you like shoot-em-up games with machines. I like the Star Wars arcade games and this gives the same feel and the graphics are really impressive -- not so much from the detail of static displays (which also are very good), but more so the amount of graphic information and the speed at which it is presented to you. This was one of the least likely games for us to keep when we purchased it, but now it has turned out to be one of the most likely to keep. Good stuff.
A great game

I really don't like Star Wars, but I love this game! The grafics are great and the game is intense. Everything is very detailed, right down to the sound. The only complaint I have is that sometimes you will go into a mission with usually little or no instuction of what to do, so it takes many times before you guess what you are supposed to do. But it's such a great game that it makes the guessing fun. I would highly recomend this game to anyone, even if they don't like Star Wars.
Rogue Leader is the "killer game" for the Gamecube.

The sequel to the N64 version, Rogue Squadron 2 is an absolute must buy for Gamecube owners and Star Wars fans with Gamecubes! The first time I played the game, I was hooked. I couldn't get over the amazing graphics, the smooth motion of flying, and blowing everything up in sight. This is the true "killer game" for the Gamecube's launch, and this "killer game" doesn't disappoint. I highly recommend this game.

Dont get me wrong it is an outstanding game. level performance is the best of the best. But only one thing, once you get it you just want to keep on playing and playing you will do that for about three days then you will just get bored of it.the only two good levels are BATTLE OF HOTH and DEATH STAR ATTACK so I will give it four stars.
Short and Easy

Rogue Leader has great graphic as you can expect from the Game Cube, although I would have liked if they had used original movie scened where they had the change, it would have put me more into the game. I did like some of the game play, the backrounds, and some abvious things.
What I didn't like was the same theme song for the menu and the same style. The game I have to say was easy, ones I figured out what to do since they don't really brief you on what to shoot at. I've had it for four days now, and I've been playing it about two hours per day because I want to enjoy it and get my money's worth, I'm already one mission away from the end with silvers in most of them. I wish they had put about 19 mission or so, and with that many missons I would really expect a good ending scene, but that is not so. The codes are only gonna make it better for one more week.
So I recommend for the fast game learners out there, if you think you can pass it in a five day rental period, go ahead and rent it. I love Star Wars, I just want to get a good Jedi challenge.
PS.:I'm looking forward at renting "Clone Wars"
Awesome graphics

One of the best games out there for Nintendo Gamecube, this game has amazing graphics. It is a great improvement on "Star Wars: Rouge Squadron", however it is very difficult. Try it out for a challenge. There is not much else to say for it, except that every Star Wars fan needs it!
