Many people were expecting this to rival Zelda, just because it had its control style people thought it would be an epic adventure that would take months to complete and would be just like Zelda. Well, this is not Zelda (if you couldn't tell from the title). While this is not the most challenging game out there, it is one of the most fun to play I believe. I don't know how people can say this game is boring, it's incredibly addictive and just fun to play all around. The graphics are phenomenal, and while the game is fairly straightforward that doesn't make it a bad game. A game doesn't have to take a year to complete to be good. Remember, the purpose of video games is to provide entertainment for the player, and this game does just that. The arwing parts and things like races that record your best times add to replay value, and while they are not essential to the game they certainly don't detract from it. Also, the story is not the most incredibly captivating story ever, but it is a good story nonetheless. Basically, fans of Star Fox and Zelda should enjoy this game, at least those who haven't placed unreal expectations on it. No it's not Zelda, it's Star Fox, and it's great. Rare is a great company and it's sad to see them go, especially when they produce quality games like this.
How can you not like this game?

I could tell that this would be a cool game. Its way better than those other starfox games where all you do is fly in small areas shooting stuff. The graphics in this game are fantastic. The story is cool. While playing the game its just like a movie. Fox does alot of cool stuff with his staff. With his staff he beats the heck out of the bad guys. Theres alot of magic in the staff. There are some missions where you fly in foxs ship, But in this Starfox game its more fun. When I have enough money im buying this game. This is deffinently a must own game.
Great Game

This games top notch graphics truely display the gamecube at its best. The graphics are excellent and pleasing to the eye. The gameplay is also excellent and very addictive. I've been playing it non-stop for three days. This game is full of plenty of puzzles in the vast lands that you will visit. The battles that you encounter are easy, but still fun. The only thing that I don't like is the birds that swoop down and attack you. It's very tough to kill them without losing a little bit of life. And after you kill them they come back. That is a minor set back that does not even effect my view of the game. I still see it as an exceptional game. The game is long, but seems short because of the amount of hours on end that you will want to play this game.
Great game, Awsome graphics

This is one of the best games I have ever played.Ever since I sold my 64 and my Zelda game I've been waiting for another RPG game. Zelda Is my favorite type of game, so when I heard about this, I had to pick up a copy. This game is next to the same as zelda. It has a story line that can easily be followed. Although it does have some childish conversations. Like for example, "you must forgive your father". And "You must join and fight against scales, and not fight each other". Other than that it's funny to see fox get teased by pepper, and complain about not geting payed enough. Then one of the biggest reasons I love this game is the mystical sounding music, and of corse, the enviormental and the character gaphics. I was origanally hoping that zelda would have fantacy graphics. But of corse It didn't meet my expectations. So another thing that makes this games graphics games so great is that when you pick up the goggles, you can zoom in the whole way, and still be able to see clearly. You can still bearly pick out a pixle, even when you're right in front of the object. And last of all, this games storyline will suprise you all the way till the end.
So overall Star Fox Adventures is one of the best games of all time.
awesome game

starfox adventures is one of the best games i have ever played (and i have played hundreds of video games). its good in every aspect i could think of for a video game. the graphics are amazing, the story line is very interesting, the voice acting is tremendous, and of course, the most important, the overall gameplay rocks. it gets you hooked and you want to play more and more. the makers were very creative with all of the different worlds and stroy line. if you loved the other starfox games (for SNES and N64) then you'll love this one. if you didn't, you'll love this game anyway because its almost nothing alike to the other ones (although i liked those, too). this game is purely action/adventure. you spend about a TOTAL of 30 minutes in your ship and that INCLUDES THE FINAL BOSS. overall, you must get this game. its a classic.
Better than ever!!

Starfox is an INSANELY good game... (the kind that you actually want to stay up 'til 4a.m. playing even though you have an 8a.m. class) It took me about a week to beat (I admit I used a few cheats, so it may take somebody longer who doesn't) but it was well worth the [money]. The graphics are absolutely phenominal as well as the many different boards (the walled city being one of the best) The graphics are so realistic, from the leaves on the trees- to the scales on the dinosaurs...(Tricky's voice is a little annoying, but he's a baby earth-walker) The ONLY let down is, I doubt i'll ever want to play the game again, because there will be no more drive to go on to the next level of play. You defenitely need a memory card with this game because of the puzzle solving difficulty. I don't know what that one person is saying the bosses aren't hard- the feats of strength was mega difficult, as well as the last boss, *andross* which took me over 10 times to beat.
GREAT GAME!!! GO OUT AND BUY/RENT TODAY!! WELL WORTH CARPULL TUNNEL SYNDROME!! (YOU MAY DEVELOP THIS FROM TRYING TO BEAT ANDROSS)
A must-have for any owner of a Gamecube!

Ever since I played the original Star Fox on Super Nintendo, I fell in love with it, the battles, the characters, the mission, everything. Star Fox 64 was even more catching to me with a whole new array of enemies, characters, vehicles, ways to play the game. But Star Fox Adventures tops all three of the original! This game takes all the magic, puzzle, adventure, and mission from Zelda and give it a space-age twist.
Our story begins in a time when there seems to be nothing going on in the life-filled system known as the Lylat System. Over eight years have passed after the Star Fox team defeated Andross and saved the Lylat system from war. Forced to flee from the doomed planet of Cerinia, a young, beautiful, and good-natured girl named Krystal goes off in search of the truth behind the untimely demise of her parents. She recieves a distress call while out in space and traces the call for help to the ancient world of Dinosaur Planet in a lost corner of the Lylat System. Krystal loses her magical staff in an awsome sky battle with the evil Sharpclaw leader, General Scales, before proceeding onto Krazoa palace, the most magical and sacred place on Dinosaur Planet, where she is imprisoned by an unknown force after learning the way to save Dinosaur Planet from destruction.
Then, we see all our old favorites, except for Falco, who is out seeking adventure elsewhere in the galaxy since he got bored with waiting far more quickly than his comrades, just sitting around on the Great Fox with nothing to do, waiting for their next big assignment and adventure with a big juicy pay on the side. They get their wish and it's off to Dinosaur Planet for our heros. Fox McCloud goes out on his own to Dinosaur Planet, finding himself on a world of dinosaurs and prehistoric lands filled with temples, mines, palaces, shrines, and much, much more. Fox retrieves Krystal's staff and begins to learn of the obstacles that lie ahead. After teaming up with the Earthwalker Prince Tricky, the brave young hero sets out to get back the ancient Krazoa Spirits and sacred Spell Stones that hold Dinosaur Planet in balace and to rescue Krystal, as well as all the tribes of Dinosaur Planet.
The graphics are simply stunning and the effects are breath-taking in every reguard. While the first three Star Fox games were about technology, this one is more into the magic and supernatural side of adventure. The staff that Fox has is an awesome tool; shooting fire and ice, opening portals, rocketing upward, making the ground shake. Soem of the puzzle in this game are hard to solve, but that only adds to the fun of it.
If you have a Gamecube but not this game, get it!
