Frustratingly Boring

Please excuse me, but I thought Starfox Adventures was bad. The game consisted of very simple, no brainer puzzles that were frustratingly difficult to complete at times but more often times pointless and time consuming (example - take some artifact from one side of the map to the other, just to get some other time consuming pointless task that has nothing to do with the story line). Another bothersome part was the annoying dino sidekick who's repetitive childish yamorings drove me insane (and no, you CANNOT turn his voice off; if only you could the game might actually been somewhat bareable). You must also FEED him dino food practically every 10 minutes in order to complete anything in the game and it seems as though you are constantly rescueing him from the bad guys because he foolishly gets himself into trouble all the time. I guess most of my beef with the game came from the dino sidekick and the pointless childish puzzles. I wish Nintendo could have put out a real space flight simulator like the origional Starfox games, but alas, they gave in to the consumers aged 5 and under--- sad, but true. Better luck next time. P.S.- It would seem Nintendo did try to put in a little bit of the flying arwing into the game, but the actual game play while in space was too easy, short and pointless to satisfy any sort of craving you might have for a REAL Starfox flying adventure. After about a minute of sub par space combat you are thrown back to the adventure mode to endure more of the annoying dino sidekick and the simple children's puzzles.

This game is very silly and stupid, it's an insult to the Star Fox series. It's a Zelda clone with a star fox license sprinkled on it and with many gimmicks(Arwings, big dinosaurs, etc.). The gameplay is too easy and it is a waste of time. I don't suggest it to anyone.

I bought this ... game thinking it would be Starfox 64 or Starfox 1, but this game is [bad]. You dont get to fly at all!?! Nintendo just made a huge mistake, I thought Gamecube would be my last refuge for flying games since Ps2 makes their flying games too complicated, nintendo made their flight games flawless but I guess that is over now, no more flying games for me, ohhh soo angryyy!!!

Sure, I have been looking forwored to SFA "DP", But this game has been a dissapointment to many SF fans. Yes, some people do like it, particuly people who have just heard about the title,"Star Fox". It was a nice concept to make a SF game for the Game Cube, but the plan itself was executed poorly. The battle system is great, but that and the entire game buttons and arrangements are all copies from Zelda 64. That and Dinosaurs, please, that is just plain pathetic... You have to beat the sinister, "General Scales"? A Blue colored Fox that speaks so called, "Dino language"? Dinosaurs is a concept that got old VERY fast. All that's happening with these dinosaurs is that they are craeting a J.P. atmosphere! When I was looking forward to this game, I thought you would be doing good ol classic S.F. flying combined with hand to hand combat, but the original flying concept is almost completley eliminated. That and the hand to hand combat is not the best. The variatiions of powers with that weird stick thing you get is nice, but once again, it is excecuted poorly. Another thing is this, WHY DID NINTENDO LET RARE MAKE THE GAME!?!?!?!?!? Dang, I used to respect Rare, but look what they did to S.F.! even if the changes from this game resolve, all other games of S.F. will branch off this one, so some problems might not be Fixed, such as the disapaerance of Falco (Yes, that IS a problem). So overall, this game is not good, if you enjoy the original S.F. flying games that have a COMPLETE CAST OF CHARACHTERS, stick to playing the original S.F. and S.F. 64, you won't be satisied with this one.

Just from the review I have to give it only 1 star! First off they are trying to turn it into a zelda of sorts. Secondly, where is Falco? Star Fox is more than just one person! Its a team effort between Fox, Falco, Peppy and Slippy! I will not buy this game because there are too many fighting games on the market and I dont feel we need another! They should have stuck with what was working and what made Star Fox, Star Fox!
Star Fox was the only real Space game Nintendo had and now that is gone!
I own both the original Star Fox from the super Nintendo and the Star Fox from 64 and I can tell you that they most likely ruined Star fox 4-ever.

Not a true starfox game

This is more of a Zelda game then a star fox game. You only get to fly the arwing in five different levels. The rest of the game is on foot. Now, this might have been that bad except for the fact that instead of shooting up enemies with a laser gun, you must wack them with your stupid staff. Combat is to easy to be considered combat. You walk up to an enemy, and rapidly press A until the enemy dies. When you finally enconter enemies with sheilds to block your attacks, you get the ice blast power up for you staff so you can just frezzes them and then wack them. If you have ever played a zelda game, the puzzles will be way to easy. It seems like they just took all the puzzles directly out of zelda. In one puzzle you must shoot you fire though a different colored fire to activate an orb. How Zelda is that?!? Also the plot in this game was terrible. Find some dumb rocks so the planet will go back together and then find some stupid spirits to get this girls fox out of a gaint chrystal. How dumb is that. The only reason a gave this game one star is for the cool boss battles. They were the only cool part of this game. If you are thinking of buying this game because you want a star fox game, wait until Star Fox 2 comes out around this holiday season.(this is not a rumor,they showed the game at E3 this year!!!). If you are thinking of buying this game because it is like zelda, buy the Wing Waker instead. It is harder, and combat is a lot more fun.
In conclusion don't buy this game for any reason. You will regret it just like me.

This game is terrible!I have beat 3 levels and on the fourth one there is zero to do. Do not spend your money on this game!!!!
