I got Starfox Adventures free with my gamecube. It's a great game
I really liked it. My only problem was that the levels were to short. Unlike Metroid Prime where the levels are really long.
Nintendo really worked hard on these graphics they are extremely detailed. I was upset about people claiming that Starfox Adventures was a bad game. I thought it was intresting and challenging still not like Metroid Prime though.
I am not trying to say that Starfox is a worthless game but I think Nintendo could have made it longer. I also was hoping that you could use Fox's blaster. Come on Nintendo we wanna blow things up like the previous Starfox games. I enjoyed the fact that
Nintendo made it into a thrid person adventure game but this games lacks the blow em up part of Starfox's history. Which was my favorite part. I was also hoping for an alternate ending like in Starfox 64. Still though overall this is a pretty good well put together game. If I was just getting a Gamecube I would start with this game. Then get the big three The Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, and Super Smash Bros, Melee. Starfox Adventures is a great game for beginners so If any adults have 6 or 7 year olds who are tired of Mario get Starfox Adventures it's not scary or bloody but it's a darn good game.
Not as fun as it looks.

I like almost all of Rare's nintendo games. I was looking forward to this one. I bought it the day that it came out. I was exited because the game has really good graphics and it was made by Rare. Yes the graphics are well done but the game is boring. Your always looking for stuff you don't want to look for because it isn't very interesting. I like Zelda because it is interesting and it keeps you wanting to play more. But this game is not too innteresting. It is very easy at some parts. Even if you like Rare's past games I would suggest renting it first.
This is a great sequel to the N64 classic

I played this over at my cousin's house and I was very impressed by the games graphics game control. The puzzles were kind of easy to solve but still pretty fun. I liked the combat a lot also. I highly recomend it.

Starfox Adventures is definitley the best GCN game yet. The graphics are so amazing, the storylne is intriguing, and the puzzles are challenging (but not impossible!) You start play as Krystal, who recieved a distress call from a palace. She is then trapped by General Scales, a BAD GUY. You then continue playing as Fox McCloud, find the ultimate magical weapon, then embark upon a quest to pull Dinosaur Planet back together, free Krystal, and defeat Scales. Good Luck!
Note: This game is not mainly in the air, but does have some pretty good levels there!

Out of all the games in the world this is my 3RD favorite. Everything is like Zelda but much more fun. The whole game is awsome and very graphical but sometimes you can get ticked at it and want to smash your controller. The game is very well setup and is a must buy. I am a survival horror person my first favorite game is Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil but I decided to try this and I loved it. I cannot wait till Starfox Adventures 2 comes out. If you don't have this game get it, you'll regret it if you don't.
A great adventure game

Starfox Adventures was one of the most highly anticipated gamecube titles. To me, it delivers all that a good game should.
Fox steps out of his Arwing for this epic adventure to engage in staff to hand combat with the baddies. That was one of the reasons many were turned off by it. The flight missions are still there, but are really tacked on to the ground adventure.
Starfox is a hack and slasher that requires a bit of thinking to figure out some of the puzzles. Beating up the baddies is easy. Repeated taps of the A button makes fox pull off cool combo's with his staff, which has other uses as well. Once upgrades are collected, the staff becomes a fire blaster, a lift off device, a portal opener and more.
Fox is aided by his sidekick Tricky the triceratops, who digs, breathes fire, and plants his big rear on buttons that keep doors open. He is as loyal as a doggie, and appears at your side when you call him. He meets up with Krystal, the original owner of the staff. Slippy the Toad and the rabbit dude are both still there to help out fox via the start button. Together, they all will defeat General Scales, an overgrown lizard face bent on destroying the planet.
Graphics- Starfox offers some of the best graphics of any game out there. The guys at rare used "fur rendering technology", and its beautiful. The graphics are simply amazing. The water is rendered beautifully also.
Sound- The scores are really nice, but nothing special. You don't have to turn down the volume of your TV and that's always good. The scores add to the atmosphere, but you won't get them stuck in your head or anything like that.
Fun- What to say about this category... Fox on land is fun, Fox in the air is fun, everything's fun!
Battle System- Simple. Press the A button and the baddies get staff in their face. Of course, other enemies require the flame, but that's beside the point.
AI- Err, not too much here. The battles are just too straight forward to have AI. The enemies do use their maces to block the staff when they aren't wacking you, however they don't try to sneak up on you or tag team when other baddies are in the screen.
Learning Curve-Not bad at all. Just about none I'd say. The Prologue to the game where you control Krystal teaches the basic controlles.
Control- Zelda-esque in game play. The inventory is accessed with a push of the c stick, so nothing bad about the controlles.
Addiction Level- Middling. You can stop whenever you want and you won't exactly die if you don't play the game that day. Still, Star Fox cravings do come up pretty often. Don't worry, you won't lose your social life if you get into it.
Memory- Just 3 blocks. Ahh that's a sweet amount.
Replay value- I'll coment on this when I beat the game.
Conclusion- Starfox is great game, and trust me, its not as bad as people deem it to be. The only way you could hate this game is if you play it, expecting it to be exactly like starfox 64 (For that, we have armada, the next starfox game:) because its just not.
Rent/Buy?- It's a great game, and in any case, I'd say buy. But just in case, I'd rent it first because the Hack and slash gameplay and the fact fox isn't always in a plane might not appeal to all.

GRAPHICS-- 8/8
Awsome Textures, high polygon characters, detailed environments, takes full advantage of Gamecube's graphics card.
SOUND-- 4/5
Great tunes to keep you playing the game, but some sounds can get annoying like Tricky saying "lets play" every 5 minutes.
GAMEPLAY-- 8/10
Linear Gameplay. Controls work good. Only one side quest, and you will proably only end up only going through this game one time. There is no multi-player, but the awsome experience of the single player makes up for most of it. The average gamer will beat this game in 20 hours.
STORYLINE-- 4/5
Over all very good epic story, but some events are obvious to happen, and others a complete surprise.
FUN-- 5/6
Fun to play but sometimes can get boring due to a small problem, being that puzzles can be really similar. For instance, to get to a new area, you might have to throw an explosive barrel at a cracked wall to make an opening. You then end up having to do this so many times, that in a way, puzzles seem to always the same. Never the less, you will have much fun going through the game.
OVERALL POINTS ADDED UP 29/34= 85% B (4 STARS)
LASTING COMMENT: This is rares first and last game for the GameCube. I recommend anyone wanting a good adventure game to buy this. It was fun for the whole 20 hours I played it, but not much to come back for. To describe this game I call it a mix between Zelda and Star Fox.
Greatest game for game cube

This is the best game!!!!! It is a little boring at first but it gets way better. It is just the right amout of hard and if you get stuck just don't play it for a day and then go back to it and you will automatically know how to get past the part.(It works for me). It is very long which is a good thing because it keeps you entertained for a long time. Once you start playing you can never stop. I sit down and play it for 3-5 hours and it is awesome!! I think you shold buy it because it has a lot of action plus it is a serious puzzler game. So if you lke platform, action, puzzle, or challenging games, this will be your absolute favorite game. Even though you don't get to fly your ship very much it is way better than the first one, Although it is a very different genra. All the same characters are back plus new one, but what I don't under stand is they don't have Falco and they don't explain why.

This game is pretty good for fans of Zelda.Star Fox fans will be dissapionted to see that Falco is only in it at the end and the rest of the Charecters don't really do anything.Fox has a stupid magical staff that can shoot fire, ice, and make Earthquakes.Defeting enamies with the staff is much to easy, all you do is press A.Also the Arwing(thats Fox's space ship)levels are really easy. Also I think the part where Andross comes back is very stupid. How could Andross "revive" himselfif he was already dead???I think this game is to easy and will not please Star Fox fans(I myself am a huge one), but it will please Zelda fans.I can't wait for the Star Fox "shooter" to come out.
