I have all the systems from PsOne to Xbox and this is definatley a must have/play game. The control is easy, the story line is awesome and there is never an opportunity to get bored playing the game. If you have an xbox BUY/RENT this game!!

I'll give it a good review

I actually am going to give this game a good review. But first I'll agree with the rest of you on what is wrong with it. The graphics aren't great, the enemies are extremely unintelligent, and most of it is pretty unbelieveable (and yes, he's blue.)

The good part? I thought it was really fun. I'll admit that I don't have alot of patience, and in a few places it was pretty rough, but over all I thought it was really fun. Don't expect great graphics or movement, but it has interesting worlds and levels and the premise (which you can find out by reading above) is pretty unique and interesting.

Azurik is a pretty bad game

Azurik is a pretty bad game. It very quickly becomes boring, has a very bad plot and the whole game is just.....kind-of stupid. (C'mon, you go around fighting polka-dotted lizards and looking for crystals as a blue guy who likes the adult version of Skeeter from the Cartoon Doug) Do not waste your time or money on this game. Before I played it I thought it was going to be a great game, I read previews and good reviews. I was very, very wrong. The only redeeming quality of this game is the graphics, it might be fun for some people, (I heard it gets better later in the game, so I'll give it 2 stars instead of one)but I could barely play for 10 minutes. Ugh. Spend your money on great games like Halo, Dead Or Alive 3, Project Gotham Racing, NFL Fever 2002 etc. But you don't have to listen to me, rent it if you must and see for yourself. But remember, I warned you........

This game [stinks].

Azurik is a game that wastes your time and does not take full advantage of the XBOX hardware. I think the makers of Azurik were sleeping while they were making the game because there is no part of the game that is cool. The floor is messed up the ceiling, the walls, the lamp, the chandelier, etc.

I bought this game the day it came out and unlike previous reviewers on this page, have played the game for many hours. First, the graphics are top notch. The enviornments are amazing. The water and lava look real, I would rent it just to look at them. The controls are pretty stait forward, and I adjusted to them in about a few minutes. Second, the game play is very good. The worlds almost seem endless. You can explore maps for hours. Finally, the game play is pretty good. This game will consume hours of your time if you truely plan to finish. The only problem I have with this game is searching for the pieces of the elements can be quite boring. Depending on how lucky you get, it could take hours before finding pieces of the elements (the whole point of the game). Also, the game play can be quite difficult at times. That is why I have given the game 4 stars. You have to really be dedicated to continue playing the game. Although, some people will really love the challenge. I've read the game takes about 75 hours to finish. In my opinion I think the game would take longer. I hoped this helped those of you thinking about buying the game. Happy Gaming!

Not too bad after all

I rated this game before and was not very kind. Well... I was told that it took a bit of time to get into it but once I did, I would change my opinion. My opinion has indeed been changed. Its a pretty cool game. While there are still some things that bug me, I am into the story now and its compensating for the unpolished parts of the game.

The best Xbox game in the world!

This game is the best and I don't give a hoot what anyone says about it. Sure there are things that can be improved in this game (like all games, even Halo could be better, especially Halo 2), but have any of you haters ever stopped to think about what this game brought to the gaming table?! Totally non-linear gameplay with an estimated 4,000 acres of places to roam, no loading screens (except one when you are going ingame, but it only shows up sometimes), full scene antialiasing 4x (Halo 1 and 2 had so much aliasing it was rediculous), polygon counts reaching 300,000 without slowing down, etc. This game deserves more credit than it was given.
