This has gotta be THE best game I've EVER played.. It's graphics are perfect for the gameplay and the gameplay KICKS. You got the biggest choice between characters ever, each one is different with no 2 guyz the same and they all got there own unique specials and combos and you can turn one super into another then again into another.. You get a maximum of 5 levels for supers in this game instead of 3 and you can pull out a guy to assist with only 1 button and if they get hit they get all the power taken off of them in recovery.. (Well unless they die anyway) AND ONE (of MANY) of the kewlest new featuresis THE ALL NEW TRIPLE TEAM! And if you havin trouble with a certain person you can use a super and throw a comboable attack to knock them out of the game temporarily while you beat the other 2 guyz. This is the best game for people who thought any of the VS. games was good, or for ANYONE with good tastes in fightin games. This is the game of all fighting gamez, and MY FAVORITE GAME out of ANY GAME EVER MADE. And DEFINATELY Other guyz favorite gamez 2. No matter if you from Canada or America this is THE GAME. FOR EVERYONE WITH GOOD TASTES
wow.. who would've thought a Capcom game would be so deep

This is very soul calibur like. Not the fighting, that's still hardcore 2d pixel based combat. But there's all kinds of things to unlock.. New costumes, new levels, new characters... and talk about characters.. There's over 50 playable characters here, and they're ALL unique... I gotta give it up to Capcom, they picked some great characters to add to this game.. Like Jill from Resident Evil, Strider, Megaman, Cable, Psylocke, the standbys Ryu and Ken... There really is something for everyone with this game... Also... if you're a fan of capcom games, you'll probably know by now that the 6 button arcade config doesn't transfer well to the home systems... well they fixed it by making it a 4 button system with the triggers used for partner attacks... this is probably the best thing they ever did... so far my only complaint is about the music... but you can easily tune it out with all the explosions and talking during the bout... all in all.. this game rocks the house

This game is perhaps one of the most addicting games since Pokemon came out. Not only is the action fast, furious and nonstop, but its also easy to handle as well. One can pick up this game and get the jist of it quite easliy, although you wont be able to pull out 30 hit combos right off the bat. Perhaps the greatest addition of this game is the barter sytem where you gain points after each game and you can purchase new characters and colors for battle. And you also have to watch yourself when purchasing, because the prices vary with experience and simply by random as well, so you have to make sure that you're getting a good price for your character as well. Overall, one of the best games on the Dreamcast right now and possibly ever.

Theres only one word for this game: outstanding, this game has great graphics and a great 3 on 3 fighting makes this the best on the capcom vs series with 56 characters and 6 uniforms for each this will take along time to unlock but its worth it, a must buy for any capcom fan or fighting fan. Great game

I've always loved Capcom's Vs. series games, but I must say I am somewhat dissapointed with Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. I object to the removal of medium attacks, even though it does make it easier to play on the awkward dreamcast controller. Some characters suffer more than others from it (a few have completely lost their ability to execute their launching move on command), while others seem to benefit from it (Jin gets chain combos out of the deal). I can't deny that this game is a lot of fun once you adjust to the new control style, but it still has problems. No personalized endings, gameplay which encourages cheapness over strategy, and pixelated characters will likely dissapoint hardcore fans. Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 does include every character from every other Vs. game, and more, which raises the fighter roster to an amazing 56 characters. The bottom line is: If you want quality, play X-men Vs. Street Fighter or Marvel Vs. Capcom. If you want quantity, play Marvel Vs. Capcom 2.

I'm 7 years old and this my favorite game in the entire universe! And the three bosses are easier because they cannot block but you can. But it just does a little bit of damage when you block. My favorite character is Megaman, I always beat my dad with Megaman because I wont let my dad pick Cable or Cyclops! -Ben

I own fifty-three Dreamcast games (and counting) and eleven of them (and counting) are fighting games. I have endured the best of the best and the worst of the worst in this fabulous yet underrated genre.
If there's one thing I love more than anything else about fighting games (and I am sure most others share my feelings), it is the fact that they are filled to the brim with wonderful, endearing, loveable, and unforgettable characters. This, of course, goes without saying; I mean, if there were no characters (or say a mere handful of 10 or less), the games would get boring fast and they would have nothing to offer the gaming world except a quick action fix. I may not be much of a comic book fan (it is one of the many things I pride myself on not being), but I still think it is great to see all my favorite Marvel characters like War Machine and the infamous Shuma Gorath going toe-to-toe with the likes of Jill Valentine and Tron Bonne. These are just the sorts of scenarios I am sure all of us have dreamed up in our little imaginations at one point or another in our lives. It is always amusing when a major corporation decides to indulge the fantasies of the masses, is it not?
I think though that what really makes the game fun is the ability to buy characters, as well as colors for characters and even new fighting fields. It makes you want to play over and over again until you have all fifty-six (count them, fifty-six) fighters. Hyper-Combos are also an incredible asset to the game. It really teaches one to think strategically about battles. After all, if one character's combo involves tossing an opponent into the air (such as Omega Red), it is not wise to use it in conjunction with a ground-based combo (such as Tron Bonne) so you must choose your teams wisely! (In my experience, I have found the best combination to be Iron Man, War Machine, and Chun Li: since Iron Man and War Machine's combos deliver about forty-some hits each and Chun Li's combo is good against Abyss!)
So Why the 4 Stars?
I miss the gallery from the playstation version of MVC. I appreciate Capcom's desire to preserve the arcade spirit of their works, but I think they are really cutting themselves off at the knees. A console version of an arcade game should be thought of as a DVD for a film. I think it was the director of "Idle Hands" who described DVDs as being meant for "Those who had more than a passing interest in the film." I am actually surprised Capcom did not include an art gallery of some kind (or if they did, they really went out of their way to hide it). CannonSpike and Gunbird 2 both contain wonderful galleries of production art that really shows just how much effort Capcom puts into its games (not that we need galleries to see that).
But, in any case, gallery or no, this stands as the epitome of fighting games. The best of the best! Thank you, Capcom!
Way too hard!

For used, this game is way too hard. The CPU is a cheap
son of a ... And, where it says 56 characters, pbbt! You have to unlock half of them. On the bright side, the graphics are incredible. The characters ar fluid and hand drawn & the
backgrounds are in hi- quality 3D. I guess it just takes some getting used to. Rent it. Or buy it if your a hardcore gamer.
