Nancy Wins Again!

In this Nancy Drew Mystery Nancy is working as a deputy currator at Beech Hill Museum. She is working with Mayan Artifacts and is having a good time until a treasured piece is stolen and another one left in danger. There are several other mysteries all with the same clue left behind...a mysterious red hand print. Can Nancy save the museum? Buy this today. I also reccomend Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake and The Haunted Carousel, which is coming in mid July.

The Haunted Carosel is another creative game by HER interactive. The game is easy to play in an order and play through the game feeling like your getting somewhere and figuring out important things along the way. I liked the interactive game playing the midway games and the computor game on Nancy's laptop....The script was more deceptive than in some of the other games and lead you to believe it was someone else. The characters were all suspisous and kind of eclectic....It was a fun game........

Too quick, too easy, too disappointed

My sister and I waited and waited for this game to come out.
We loved the Nancy Drew series and enjoyed playing the others.
But when we finally were able to buy this game we finished in it in less than two days. It was extremely easy and the game world was small and condensed.

The story line was cute and the dialogue was good, but the amount of exploring and discovering of the game was rather poor. It was a good game for younger detectives, but it was way too easy for us older kids and I hope that the next games are made longer.

Good, but not as good as the others

My daughter and I have played four of the games now, and this was our least favorite. It is still a high quality game, and was fun to play, but it was a step backward in the series. Our main complaints are that there are not enough places to explore and items to manipulate, and far too many lengthy dialogues on the phone. Many of the conversations are all passive--the program directs both your speech and the person you're talking to, leaving you to just watch and listen to a long, pre-determined conversation. The game was also shorter to play than the others, and the puzzles were rather easy by comparison.
Even with these drawbacks, it is still a higher quality game than so much else that's out there, and I'd buy it again if I had to do it all over.

Fun but somewhat disappointing in the end

I was disappointed with this game. I enjoyed playing it, but I thought that the ending was way too predictable. I knew about ten to fifteen minutes into the game who the kidnapper was. The whole game wasn't easy. Some of the puzzles and things were really hard. As a matter of fact, if I hadn't gotten some help on a couple of things, I may not have been able to get to the ending. I was just very annoyed by the fact that I had to go through all this hard stuff just to be told something that I had known all along. Also, there was something in the story that went unexplained, unless there was an explanation and I just missed it. I can't elaborate on that part any further because I don't want to spoil the ending for those who won't find it that predictable.

You don't have to be a kid to like this one!

Okay, I'll admit it. I'm old enough to be Nancy Drew's grandmother, but I still liked this game. It was challenging enough (on "senior" detective level) to keep an experienced gamester like me satisfied, and I enjoyed the lack of gore and foul language which seems to be mandatory for most games today.

The graphics were very good, and the plot was interesting (you can read all the stuff about Marie Antoinette if you want a history lesson, or skip it and go for the mystery). It was a bit "confining" since almost all the action takes place in the one castle, but at least you get to go outdoors a couple of times.

All in all, a nice game to spend a few hours on -- good enough for me to get others in the series.

Another Great Game from Nancy Drew

This game was very enjoyable though it was not the best in the Nancy Drew series. The plot was a little dry and the characters not as well developed as the games in the past but there were some good parts to balance it out.

Awsome game!!!

I love Nancy Drew games, and this is by far my favorite one. There is so much you can do on it seperate from the game, LIke going to resteronts and eating Clam Chowder and Muffins, making your own sandwiches from the boat, and building sand catels on deserted islands. I love it, and you can never play it only once!!!

This game is really fun with the stuff you do. but the game overall was 4 stars because of the people. I thought they had no personality. That was the only thing I didn't like about this game. But overall it is a good game to play. So go buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nancy Drew Haunted Carousel

The Haunted Carousel game was a big disappointment to me for several reasons. I am a fan of the Nancy Drew software and only have good things to say about the *other* titles in this series by Her Interactive. That said, this particular game is too short, has fewer clues and puzzles (which are much too easy), other characters are barely fleshed out, and overall, it lacks any sense of mystery or intrigue basic to this type of game. I suspect that HerInteractive was in a crunch to get Danger on Deception Island out quickly in time for Xmas, and so they skimped on this particular game. I do not recommend it at all!
