This is by far my favourite HER Interactive Nancy Drew PC game, and I have played them all multiple times. I loved the food aspect of it [my sister's a chef], in the cafe where you could gyp the game into letting Nancy have a muffin or a bowl of delicious New England clam chowder anytime you wanted to making a sandwich for Katie; AND calling Bess and George to hear how Bess is learning to cook from a TV show and hearing her worry about what she's making.

The puzzles were not nearly as difficult as some more recent games make them; they were challenging but doable, took some moving about and kept the game adventurous. The bike riding was inventive, rather than a train or car or what have you, and I loved being down by the lighthouse, near the water.

I believe it is one of HER Interactive's best games so far and is the best bet for a Nancy Drew gamer.

one of the best nd games!

I have played all of the Nancy Drew games and my friends and I all agree that this is the best so far. We enjoyed the numerous games and puzzles and were glad that this game took us longer than some of the others did. Some of the things that you were required to do became tedious such as bike riding and going through the underground passageways. Overall, this was a fun game and I think that most people would enjoy it.

I'd have to give this 4 stars . . .

I played all the Nancy Drew games except for the newest one so far. And to tell you the truth, this one was kind of a run-around type of game. Especially in the museum. I must of went around the whole city 20 million times in just a couple of hours of playing this game. And some of the puzzles didn't make sense sometimes. I would have to go to herinteractive.com just to get some help. It's a great game just like to rest of them, but the others were better.

Still playing this one...

Another success for Dreamcatcher. Please keep making them :) This game is a bit scarier than previous games, so keep that in mind when purchasing for younger kids. At one point, you are required to go to the graveyard and snoop and if that is not bad enough, later you have to go back in the dark. To add to the intensity, it's like a maze to even get out there and back... ever tried doing a maze in the dark??

A Very good game so far - has kept my interest and my mind engaged. From an adult who loves mysteries, that is saying a LOT about a kids' game :)

WE have played every game and this is our second favorite. It has a little bit of everything. It is tricky but definitly not frustrating. You may need a walkthrough, but it is a great walkthrough, no slipups. great ending climax. awesome graphics. Overall perfect game!

WE RECOMEND IT! not a waste of $ at all!

The ending of this game was really surprising! Oh my goodness, you would never GUESS who the culprit was! Otherwise, this game is great. Why? There is a lot of action and so many surprises! The setting is in an old theater. There are lots of secret rooms and passages, you know what I'm saying? The graphics are first class. Buy one today. Believe me, IT IS WORTH THE MONEY. There are discouraging moments, but none of the puzzles are hard! (I was playing on junior detective) Please let me know if my review was helpful or not. Thanks!

Worst Nancy Drew Game in the Series

I was very disappointed in the newest Nancy Drew game, the Haunted Carousel. I have been a great fan of the computer game series, but this game was not nearly as fun, challenging, or interesting as the others have been.

For starters, the game can be completed extremely fast which takes a lot of fun out of pondering the mystery. Secondly, I had guessed the culprit almost immediately, and my suspicions were only confirmed as the game progressed. I never even suspected any of the other characters. I also found many of the elements of the game extremely bizarre and unbelievable in real world scenarios, which only hurts the series because Nancy is supposed to be a character to whom everyone can relate and imagine being in her shoes.

There will still be die-hard Nancy Drew fans who think this game is great. But, it seems to me that Her Interactive has realized what a seller the games in the series are and have stopped producing quality games in favor of producing more games faster, which leads to poor plot lines, bad character development, and mediocre games. I can only hope that the next game in the series will make up for the mediocrity of the Haunted Carousel.

Not as good as TRT or MHM

I found this game to be a big disappointment. There weren't enough puzzles and the game was too short. I also found the identity of the kidnapper to be painfully obvious from Day 1. It's worth buying if you're a huge fan of these games but I can't recommend it very highly to those who aren't.

In the beginning, it was very easy and fun. You portray Nancy Drew, a teenage detective snowwed in a castle-like resort in Wisconsin.

In the middle of the game, when I asked Bess and George for advice, my computer would freeze. My computer would freeze also when I was talking to different charachters. I also am stuck on one part while trying to get passed a door with the elevator blocking it. Otherwise, I liked it.
